Horrible company! I Will never bring my vehicle back here,you can't trust anything they say they won't even give you updates on your car the day they say they will and even when I called up there and they told it was ready when I showed up my transmission wouldn't go out of park and didn't tell me this information until I got there!! Even after all of this when I go to pay them kevin tells me I owe them 200 more then the quote they gave me and try's to convince me it's taxes when taxes where included in the quote they gave me even after showing him this he grunts and starts vigorously scrolling on his computer like he was magically going to find 200 dollars worth of work he can charge me for he didn't stop until a lady in the back who could hear the conversation came out and made him let me pay for what they quoted me. Horrible experience! "Specialized" Truck and Auto?? There is nothing "Specialized" about this business except finding ways to overcharge a customer. I will not trust this place with anything, not even a scooter. We took our truck to Kevin for overheating. We had just changed the thermostat with the radiator flush and filled it before taking it to Kevin. He diagnosed it and told us it was the thermostat and engine coolant antifreeze. We reminded Kevin that we just changed the thermostat, and it had a lifetime warranty. He said we needed a thermostat from the dealer and that the market grade does not work efficiently. We agreed on $585.51 for the job. Kevin told us the truck was still overheating after working on it and that he couldn't figure out the issue. He suggested rebuilding the engine, but we asked him to refrain from doing more work on the truck to avoid incurring more charges since he was unsure. He later told us he checked the water pump for leaks and would not charge. We could not pick up our vehicle on time since we work Monday to Friday, and Kevin does not open on weekends. My partner communicated with Kevin all the time. We received an invoice of $911.32 instead of $585.51, which we agreed upon. We reached out only to find out the following: 1) Kevin charged us for diagnosing the truck even though he was wrong. How can you charge for an incorrect diagnosis? It is terrible that he made us change and pay for a thermostat our truck did not need. What's even worse is knowing that his diagnosis was wrong, he still had the nerve to ask for a diagnosis fee after he charged for the job. 2) He checked the water pump on his own and said he would not charge us, but he did, which further shows his character. 3) He started charging for storage while we tried to resolve the bill with him. It's incredible how far he will go to squeeze out every dollar from a customer. I tried to have a reasonable conversation about the bill several times. Still, he remained defensive and argumentative, talking over me and talking down on me for having an accent. He was unprofessional and rude. We ended up paying you $811.32, including storage and diagnosis of a truck he could not diagnose or fix. I should have listened to my gut feeling after my initial encounter with him. I would not recommend this business even if Kevin were working for free. I wish it was possible to give you zero star. Horrible! Horrible! Just horrible! read more

Kevin is the owner of Specialized Truck & Auto. Kevin is a Self Professed Christian. He is very good at the subtleties of the appearance of being a Christian. However his behavior is not that of a real Christian. So, Customer Beware! I have taken my truck to Specialized Truck & Auto 2 times. The first time for a fuel leak. I signed for up to 2 hours Diagnostic/Repair. I had to call numerous times to find out what was going on. I kept getting put off. Kevin kept saying they couldn't find the leak because there was so much residue from the leak. Granted, since this truck has a Diesel/Vegetable Oil fuel system, the leak had created quite a mess. But they weren't communicating with me along the way. When they found the leak, it had nothing to do with the Veggie Oil Conversion. In fact it wasn't anywhere near the veggie oil add on. Well, $370 later, I got my truck back. They cleaned the fuel from the injection rail and the side of the block & tightened a banjo bolt. No parts were needed to perform this repair. But he was sure to bill out "Shop Supplies". $370, REALLY? I felt this was excessive. Especially since they did not communicate and let me know that the repair was escalating to be $200 more than I knew about or had agreed to! After a rather convincing job of explaining away the High Repair Bill, I decided to give Kevin the benefit of the doubt. Approximately a month later, I had another concern with my truck. This time, it was a broken right lower ball joint. I was able to get my truck home and called a tow truck. The tow truck driver winched it onto the Flat Bed Tow Truck. I had replaced all the ball joints about a year earlier & they had a "Lifetime Warranty". I called around but wasn't able to get my truck into any other shops. So I called Kevin again. When I told him that the parts had a "Lifetime Warranty" and that I had arranged to get the parts. At first, he was upset with me because he wasn't going to be able to make any money on the parts. So I asked him point blank, "What do you want to make on the job?" At that point, he backed off and said he would do it for the regular book labor time. So the tow truck arrived and took my truck to Kevin's shop. I did not go with the tow truck. After about an hour, I got a call from the tow truck driver telling me that the truck was delivered safely. After about two more hours, I called Kevin and asked how it was going. Well, he starts in on this long detailed story about how it took him over an hour to get my truck off the tow truck. And he wasn't going to charge me the whole hour. But he was going to charge me $45 to get my truck off of the tow truck. Sooo, here we go again! Well, this repair was for the labor to replace the upper and lower ball joints on the right side, $45 for the getting my truck off of the tow truck. And $90 for an alignment. So, I went and picked up my truck. When I drove off of the lot, I noticed that the steering wheel is off center and the truck pulls to the right. So, I figured I'd just deal with it. But as time went by, this "Pulling Right" problem aggravated me to the point that I figured I'd swap tires from left to right and see if the pulling problem changed. Sometimes a bad tire can cause a vehicle to pull. Well, it didn't make any difference. So I swapped the tires back. Then I called Kevin and told him. He said that he had another shop do the alignment and if I brought my truck back, he'd have them check it or re-do it. So I took my truck back, talked to the owner of the other shop and he told me he had never seen my truck before. Oh Really!!!??? Well, no wonder it pulls to the right! The alignment was never done! So, after a big old long story about this and that, Kevin finally admits that the alignment was never done and he must have overlooked it! Kevin refunded me $90 for the alignment that was never done... As for the Bogus charge of $45 to get my truck off of the tow truck... well, that's my loss for trusting this guy! They will NEVER touch my truck again! Be VERY CAREFUL if you take your vehicle to these guys! Kevin must be paying for people to leave all 5 star reviews. Because, he isn't earning them!
