On Friday, November 11th, I flew to Texas from LA just to attend their sneak preview that happened at Midnight and it was just incredible!!! I thought they might get a few people in for this opening...well to my surprise there were like 50-60 people there shopping until 2:45am! I was also surprised to learn how many people from the LA area go to Smithville on a regular basis for weekends away etc. This sweet and amazing place, Midnight Monkey Mercantile, is located in a recently renovated brick building, built circa 1910 on historic 2nd street in quaint, charming Smithville, Texas! Which is also the home of the chick-flick favorite, HOPE FLOATS!! If you have a chance, Go Visit... you won't be disappointed!

It's not exclusive like many galleries and all it takes to participate is an annual membership (which is shockingly cheap). The staff is very friendly and eager to chat.

This is a local art center…read morewhere they have classes, they were hosting one while we walking in, art exhibitions, and art is hung upstairs and downstairs. There are stairs and an elevator.
