I called one pest control company and they referred me to Recon Pest Control and told me recon uses better chemicals for my situation. So I call em and they send Tyler right out-no waiting. He knocks down spider webs, thoroughly sprays everywhere, problem solved. So then a month goes by and he returns to spray again but then we get hit with another crazy hot, triple digit heat wave and I find a few ants in my office again. Tyler comes right back and resprays the entire property a second time. Since then I haven't seen a bug in or around the house once. I usually see something, often around the pool area but nada. Even the dog's food bowls are left alone. After replacing the tile on my roof, some rats found their way into my attic. We'd hear their mating ritual echoing through the walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Called Recon and they sent Ryan out to set traps and seal the entry points. Problem solved instantly...subsequent inspections showed no sign of rodentia in our home. Insects and rodents...I don't mind them when camping in the backcountry but hate em around my home. Recon is the fast & affordable solution. My advice? Next time Mother Nature bugs you call the TERMINATORS at Recon Pest Control. I never write reviews. But we had an experience today that was absolutely HORRIBLE. Home shield was…read moreour second quote on some termite concerns. When they came, they asked if they could probe the house. I've had two other companies come so I know what probing the house for termites means. They SHOULD use a specific tool with a pointy end and they gently probe around the perimeter of the home. They also told me that there would be no damage done by probing the home. However, they walked around the house using the end of a metal broom stick and aggressively hit all of the eaves and exposed old termite damage and which ripped large portions of the paint off of our home. He claimed that he was just exposing termite damage when I said that he's damaging our home and a probe test shouldn't be like this. He also told me that other people have complained about him earlier in the week and tried to justify his claim for why he was hitting our home so hard. It made absolutely no sense. I've been a homeowner for over a decade and I've had multiple homes bought and sold where I've had termite damage treated and have had tenting. I am well aware of how these inspections are handled. Now I have patchwork I need to complete and I need to find a paint match to repaint my home. When they were told to leave, they said that they would have a manager call to discuss concerns with us. No one ever called us. I would absolutely avoid this company at all cost. It's now a huge bummer and my husband and I have to carve out time to do the repairs and paint our ourselves and we have small children at home. Lastly, for the record, the other two termite companies we've had it come out, have said that this is old termite damage and was not active. We were only tented just less than six years ago but now I have exposed wood and missing paint. How lovely. UPDATE: a nice manger saw this review and reached out. Not Tide Pest! They nailed it. I had an awful problem with pantry moths. I had tried for months to get rid of them on my own to no avail. Bailey said I had been killing the adults, but not the (Eck) larvae. He explained what they'd do and sent an email with everything in writing which I did refer to several times to prep the kitchen correctly. He arrived within the time window stated and was done in 30 minutes. He let me know his eta an 30-60 min before they arrived. He examined my cupboards and hutch thoroughly before proceeding. He cleaned up afterwards-there was only a little bit. Only needed a dust pan Bailey said he'd follow up in a week to make sure they haven't returned. If I do see any, he said he'd return immediately. Very good job and worth it to finally get rid of these annoying insects. I've had to throw out many pantry items and feared buying more/eating them until this was handled.
