BAIT AND SWITCH, MISREPRESENTATION, FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Johnny, at this location was awesome, the store manager was a total jerk and should go back to the country he is from to treat people like dogs. The email below was what I sent. I spoke to Mindy B of their Escalations Team and she insulted me by stating that she would offer us the $36 trade value and an additonal $100 for the phones. Then offered $400 total credit to our account. Not $400 per phone. So we went from what their representative offered us on the phone (and she verified what I am claiming by listening to the conversation that he and I had) which was the $636x2= $1272 credit for trading in our Note 9s to $672, nothing like once again Big Corporation of America taking advantage of us little guys. All she wanted to say was the same old talking point of their generation "we see an opportunity for coaching." NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEIR SALES PERSON QUOTED US. THEY COULD CARE LESS!!! What a joke!!!!!  I can totally understand if I missed some small print when looking at their site to calculate the value of our trades, that is why I called in and had it verified by their sales staff. Apparently you can say whatever you want to customers if you work for Spectrum and the management will refuse to honor said quotes. PITIFUL, SHAMEFUL AND TYPICAL THIS DAY AND AGE OF CORPORATIONS THAT LOST THE CUSTOMER RELATIONS PART OF DOING BUSINESS IN A HONEST WAY!! We had a friend visit us from Lubbock. He had a Fold 4 and we liked the phone. I researched on your site the amount of trade in credit that we would get for our 2 Note 9s. The site asked for my phone info including the IMEI number to calculate the credit amount. The site quoted me $536.00 per phone.I called in on 12/15 and spoke to one of the phone reps. He verified who I was by sending a code to me by way of text. He looked into our account which I pay for 7 mobile lines. He and I discussed at length the process and dollar amounts for my wife and I to trade in our Note 9s. He quoted me that they would be worth $536.00 each plus a "special" of an additional $100.00. He quoted the Fold 4 would cost $1649.99 less the amount of $636.00. He explained how the credits would work. He got out a pen and paper to make notes and do some additional calculations in case we wanted to pay $500.00 down to lower the monthly price. There was never a mention that there was a "qualifier" of any sort to receive the $636 per phone trade in credit. He then gave me the address of the store closest to my zip code which was the location  1335 E. Whitestone Blvd Suite J-300 Cedar Park, TX 78613. He stated he had no way to look up their inventory to tell us if they had 2 Fold 4 in stock. My wife took off work and we drove the over 1 hour and 20 minute drive to get to the location with the thought of either purchasing these phones if in stock or ordering them. The phone specialist at the location (Johnny) said he would verify the price that I was given earlier today on the phone. He calculated that our phones would only be worth $36.00 not the $536.00 that we were quoted before we drove that distance. He stated that the $500.00 credit was no longer available unless we were purchasing a new line but if we had come in last week it would have been good. I asked to speak to the store manager and the manager stated there was nothing he could do to help us. I asked for the area manager's name and contact information and he refused to give me this information. He said if I wanted to email him my complaint/situation he would forward it to her. So we drove the over 1 hour and 20 minute drive back home with no new phones that were going to cost over $2500.00, almost 3 hours of drive time, gas expense, time off for my wife from work and no name or number/email address to speak with a manager about the false advertising/representation from your representative on the phone for about a half hour of time spent. I would like to talk or email a Corporate decision maker about the treatment of a loyal customer. If we cannot get help we will probably choose to move the 7 lines back to Verizon amongst other avenues of notification to the public how Spectrum misrepresented on the phone and the website, how they bait and switch you into doing business. read more

I went in to switch my cell phone over to Spectrum and I was surprised at how easy it was and the attentive and pleasant service I received from Ashley K. Ashley did and excellent job, greeted us at the door, and we were out of there with a new phone purchase and service program in "30 minutes". I never had that quick service in over 20 years from a carrier. Also, pricing was exactly what I was quoted on their website and no pushy hard sales for extras. Thanks, Ashley!! read more

Spectrum is a pretty good service. as long as you pay your bills in time and turn your equipment in on time when you are done with it there are absolutely no problems. sometimes on very rare occasions there could be an outage. but at most for a couple hours. and if you are so butt hurt about the couple hours, spectrum is nice and after the outage you can get your refund for the amount of time it was done. which is unreasonable because 4 hours is essentially like a dollar. Some of the equipment I've received was old but once I had it for a while you can call spectrum to have someone come out and check your equipment. And if the equipment Is old enough the tech might replace it for free. read more

I have had Spectrum for 5 years . When they were TWC they actually cared about customers . Now all they care about is getting new customers and milking the their older customers as long as they can. My bill has gone up every year for 5 years but my service hasnt changed. This month i finally had enough . Cut off voice, and tv,and told them i would cut net as soon as i could get another connection . Every since then they have cut my net speed in half. Great customer service. I will remember this in a year when you come begging for my business again. read more

This is regarding the Whitestone Boulevard location in Cedar Park, Texas. Avoid this place. I have been there three times in the last two weeks and every time there are more employees looking at computers, standing on the sidelines, and even back in the back, than actually working. Customers everywhere and people don't even look up from their computer screen to help. They have a sign saying they are short staffed, but with five people there and only two of them working I'm not really sure how more staff would help. When I asked about a better location, I was told to take my stuff to a UPS store. Unfortunately that is not what I was there to accomplish. While I waited 30 minutes today, two people got frustrated and left. Finally I left too. Just horrible customer service. If you need help, drive to the round rock location off University Boulevard. And I'm so sorry to hear that. I was thrilled when the store opened closer to my home on the far north shore. read more

Quite possibly one of the worse internet providers you could get if u use internet daily service outages are very common and take hours to fix like if your gonna be charging people for ur product at least make sure it's a functional and sustaining one it's a pathetic attempt compared to other service providers out there if you have the money stay away from spectrum main reason it doesn't work half the time read more

We have had Spectrum for many years and over that time we have had "planned" power outages multiple times that leave the internet out for the whole day. The cable also doesn't record all that it is scheduled to, and we are forced to reset the cable box multiple times a month because of problems we experience. read more

If I could select 0 stars I would. Spectrum encourages customers to sign up for services online. When you do, there is no place to choose a service date because Spectrum defaults it at 2 days out. They do not tell you that though anywhere in the process. I inadvertently ordered Spectrum services on Monday July 20, received confirmation of my order later that day that stated equipment would be delivered to my new address in 2 days. I called the next day to change the delivery date because I am not moving in for another 2 weeks. I was helped and assured that the delivery date had been changed. I was skeptical because Spectrum has horrible customer service, and so I called Fedex. Fedex had not record yet of the product and so could not help me. Again I had faith that the customer service rep I spoke to did their job. They did not. I received an email on the 22nd that my equipment had been delivered. I called Spectrum. HERE IS WHAT THEY SAID 1ST...call Fedex yourself, have them pick up the equipment and hold it for you, then go pick it up from their facility. I couldn't believe this was the answer. So, I called Fedex. They cannot pick up packages at the request of the receiver, only the sender. I called Spectrum. HERE IS WHAT THEY SAID 2ND...drive to the place where the equipment was received and pick it up, send it back to us, and cancel your order, then reorder within 2 days of your move in date. Again, I couldn't believe that was the solution from Spectrum and there was no other manage to talk to. I live 35 minutes away from this new address, and I don't know the tenants. So I'm supposed to drive there at $5 a gallon, hope they are home, and ask them for the package they hopefully received from Spectrum. I'm a stranger to them. Spectrum would not budge on this process, which is absolutely insane. I spoke to 1 representative the day after the online order to try and prevent this from happening, it didn't. I then spoke to 2 other representatives that provided the above "solutions". I hope I am not stuck with Spectrum as the only provider in the area. Bottom line...ALWAYS SAY NO TO SPECTRUM BECAUSE IT WILL ALWAYS TURN OUT THE WAY YOU THINK IT WILL, and it does every single time. Wow. read more

I'm not sure there could be a more incompetent bunch of fools that there is working at spectrum. I wish that was the worst thing I could say about them but they're also liars. They've had two major outages this week alone putting all of the businesses in the area without Internet for hours at a time. Nevertheless, they will offer no sort of compensation for all of the lost work and time caused by their incompetent fools. Total monopoly!!
