I went there yesterday 8-14-26 to get a new phone and I had an appointment at 6PM. The three ladies that were working there were knowledgeable, kind professional and walked an old guy, me, with little technical experience through the purchase of a new phone. I don't write follow-up's but these three ladies did a fantastic job knowing that I was frustrated because of all the unknowns but they talked me through it, made me laugh and deserve a shout out. It was at the end of their shift, they knew the new phone purchase could possibly take 2 hrs with all the downloads required from an old phone but they still with a smile and professionalism got everything completed . Spectrum is a very busy place i found out! My wait was about 20 minutes. I went to buy a new phone my 1st one came in the mail 3 years ago so I wanted to do in person. I looked what was on sale on line but looking at the picture didn't convince me what one i wanted. I'll tell you this was no Verizon experience! I asked the 19 year old worker if I can see the phone before I buy he said you can look at the ones they have on display. I said I want to look at the back for the camera! He said to me "didn't you look at them on line" I asked about the phone he said he didn't know about it! I didn't feel comfortable with that phone so I asked him to stop the order and I asked for a more expensive phone then he had an option he said it had a better camera can hold more data and how much I had off and other details. Did he just wake up after I got the second phone poor service next time maybe I'll go to Cricket I almost got on my daughter's plan I probably would have payed less money for the same phone and the guy that helped her was great! So much for loyalty even though it's only my second phone with spectrum in 3 years have to think about for my next phone!! read more

Christopher H. went out of his way to give me the best deal possible on a new phone, and facilitated an effortless transition from old phone to new. OK its cable and I wanted to give 3 stars but would only let me give 4 stars. I went online for my issue and they told me I needed to make an appointment to retrieve a new box. Well, I waited 2 hours at home to go and when I got there I was waited on right away. I probably could have gone right away. Employee didn't seem thrilled to be working. Really didn't greet me except calling me over with next. I told her what happened and that I needed a new box. Again, went and asked if I checked all plugs and rebooted. They did that on the phone and sent me in. I am sure the notes were on my account. Then took my box and added then new one to my account. Said I was all set and that was it. Didn't ask if I needed anything else, just couldn't wait to get me out the door. read more

We have been very fortunate to live places where Verizon FiOS is available, and have been able to dodge the Spectrum-bullet altogether. Until now. Our camp property in Orleans County that we bought last year only has Spectrum service available. So here we go. :-( I called Spectrum late last summer to see what our options were. The customer service rep was nice, and told us they could turn on the Internet as soon as tomorrow. We set up an installation for the following week, and thought we were all set. We share our camp property with my parents. The following week at our scheduled time, my dad waited for the installer. And waited. And waited. And waited. It was a no-show. :-( I logged onto my Spectrum account, only to find they had rescheduled our installation appointment for two weeks later, with no notice to me. That was extremely poor communication, and odd. I called right away to find out what was going on. After several transfers over the course of an hour, it turns out our appointment was bumped because our property wasn't installation-ready. Nobody ever explained that to me. When I finally was connected with the right department, I was told we needed a new switch and box added to the telephone pole, work that would take two to four MONTHS to complete. MONTHS! All of this would have been a bit easier to swallow had that communication been transparent with us from the get-go, instead of setting up a shell appointment that was never going happen, and leaving my poor dad just waiting for nothing. HORRIBLE communication so far. And it really only got worse. We were told someone had to be there for the initial telephone pole survey. They gave us a date and time. Again my dad was there. And waited. And waited. And waited. Again nobody showed up! UGH was an understatement at that point. Over the course of the next few months after that, eventually the crew came and went as needed to install the switch and box on the telephone pole, and burrow our lawn with the line to our electric board. All of this was done whenever they felt like it, with no outreach communication. It's fine in the sense that our property is a camp property, all of the hookups are outside, so we really didn't need to be there for any of this part of the work. But any sort of communication on the ETA of when we'd have service would have been nice. The crews finished work around November, and at that point we were packing up for the season, so did not actually turn on service until this spring. When I called to schedule the install, this time the technician actually showed up as expected. So that was good. But the install itself was lackluster. He wouldn't install a new cable port on the camper (the existing one was rusted and not functional), nor drill a hole to just connect the line direct to the modem, stating he was not permitted to do so. Okay, fine. But he left tons of wire under the camper on the ground, and only later did I learn he should have at least clipped that up under the exterior of the camper. So a shoddy job, but at least our wireless was finally operational. A few weeks after we had our wireless turned on, I decided to add digital phone service. I attempted to turn on the service myself from my online Spectrum account. It seemed to work, I got a confirmation number for the order and a new telephone number. Last night I went to camp to do some work, and plugged in the phone into the modem. No dial tone. I reset the equipment, still nothing. I logged back into my account, clicked the "Manage Voice" link, and "Page Cannot Be Found." So self-service was a dead end. :-( Today I called Spectrum for support with getting the phone working. At least the Customer Service representative was very nice. They indeed had to do something on their end to "close the order" which they did not do (nor am I sure they would have ever done it, had I not called), and tech support had to get involved for the phone to actually start working. The rep was very nice, and eventually this issue was solved. That's the only reason I'm going two-stars here instead of one, a nice rep and seemingly everything is finally hooked up. So now we finally have Spectrum internet and phone installed, and up and running at our camp property. Only time will tell how the actual quality of the service works out for us. But the long and arduous installation process, and all of the awful communication and hiccups along the way do not have me hopeful just yet. We shall see. read more

Small location on Union. Easy parking. You take a number when you walk in. There is seating and it's reasonable comfortable, but you can't see the numbers from it, so that's a little badly planned. But they announce the number they are serving along with the window number to go to. All sorts of TWC advertising around to look at while you wait. Super polite people work here. This place is a JOKE, People there could care less about you! The manager was more interested in putting up signs and placards than taking care of customers! He took people away from their stations when the store was full of customers to personally watch them replace signs on the door and placards in the store. What an idiot!!! He kept doing this the entire time I was there for over an HOUR waiting!!! The employees at times just stood or sat at their stations staring ahead into space, rather than taking the next customer. I don't think this pace will be in business for long with this attitude. The regional manager should come in as a customer and see the chaos in this store in Cheektowaga, NY. They should all be replaced. I hope this place goes bankrupt soon. I haven't been this PO'd in a long time!!! Older people who came in and who were not in tune to the process with the kiosk were just left standing there with NO help, and if they missed hearing their name after other customers helped them sign in.. They just removed their names and moved on to someone else.. Then when some other customer alerted them, the people gave them a hard time.... This place SUCKS big time!!! This place is horrible. Employees are slow and can't multitask. Most of them just stand aaround and stare at there screen when they could be helping other customers. I had the pleasure of having Dre wait on me. No personality at all. Actually was wearing ear buds and doing exercises while he was staring at his screen when he could have helped someone else. This company literally rapes its customers it deserves 0 stars! I went from $99.00 for the promotion to $159.00 for cable and internet and I'm at the base package. I do not watch over 3/4 of the garbage included in this package. I just spoke to a supervisor named Sharon and she admitted that Spectrum no longer will offer existing customers any other promotions and that they will continue to raise our rates. Poor customer service. Went in paid my bill and 2 weeks later get a letter stating that I am past due on my account. I returned to the store to find out it was 2.52 for the tax! Tell me why wouldn't you charge me when I paid my 130 dollar monthly bill? Then when I asked that question I get an attitude cause it's not your fault the last girl didn't do her job. Every month I go through bs unknown charges and they are correcting my bill prices are the same as the competition. Went to location to cancel TV service & upgrade internet. Spoke with Rep "WNYE094136" who informed me that internet was upgraded and TV service cancelled (handed in the equipment as well). Advised of new monthly premium and walked out. After two chat sessions with TWC.com was advised local reps cannot cancel service and have to call their call center to do so. Also, local rep never processed my internet speed and had to have online chat agent push it through. Luckily, call center rep was nice & handled everything correctly.
