Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I went in because the last time i went they forgot to provide me a power cord for my modem. So i go in and give the lady my receipt & acct #. She tells me that she won't be able to provide me the cord because i don't physically have the modem (which is absurd) so i tell her i have pictures to show her what it looks like. She tells me she can't accept that, i then ask for her manager and she tells me he's busy interviewing someone and can't come out!? HELLO a manager should always be available to come out if a customer has a concern!? She then gets the cord i need, and returns saying "i had to go through so many boxes to find this, it wasn't easy." UH do you want pity? It's your job to get the customers what they want and what they need!!!. I'm so disappointed & embarrassed for the people they employ. read more

I do not recommend this service to anybody! To be honest i dont even want to give them 1 star. I had AT&T for over 10 years i decided to switch to spectrum because they said they can have my service up and running by the next day. It has now been 5 days and i still have no seevice. Spectrum either does not communicate good with each other, are uneducated, or are bold face liars. Every person tells you something different. They say there sending a tech out and then they dont after i waited at home all day. Then they cant send somebody out again for another 2 day. The operators are useless and the supervisors are useless. They do not care about their customers at all! I hate this company and they still have not even gotten around to installing our equipment. Shows the waiting list on the wall but appears like they're not going in order of check-in (no one on the list had an appointment either). Good thing I'm only here to turn in my equipment. Holy crap. I left AT&T for this??!! All I needed was to ask a quick tech question about a modem. I had to sit there with the rest of the crowd in the place for an hour to answer a question that took 3 minutes. Hey spectrum, read yelp you idiots! Hire more people so the line doesn't look like you're at Disneyland!! You got 8 freakin help stations and 3 people working on a busy Saturday??? Just rip out the damn desks and put some beds or popcorn machines or something useful. If your technical service phone line actually could help with a tech question, I wouldn't need to waste my time sitting in your store. tried to cancel my account at spectrum during the pandemic to cut my overhead. it took me 5 hours to speak to a rep that could help me. when i reached the rep she told me that they charge a month a head and even though i called to cancel on april 1 she said that my billing cycle goes to april 29th and i would be charge $200.00 for my future bill. i told her i have called 5 different day since march 27th and could never get through... she said she was going to charge me and ruin my credit.. i said but it is april 1st and i wont be using your service for 29 days and u are going to still charge me.. i said just pro rate me for 3 days and she send spectrum only bills in 30 days segments and charges a month before u even use their service.. wtf!!! this is so corrupt and so twisted.. this is a multi billion dollar company screwing people in a pandemic.. they are the symbol of coorporate corruption... im trying to start a website on companies that helped the people during the pandemic and the ones that stole from them.. spectrum is number 1 for corruption during a pandemic.. want to start a class action suit??? read more

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. Before the pandemic, the company would give me discounts. During the pandemic, the company has raised their prices. I have called several times letting them know that we are low income and can not afford the high prices they are charging. My Wife and children have all suffered income losses as well as myself. I have talked to several customer service agents and supervisors. I was told there was nothing they could do for me. Since the pandemic, my service has gotten steadily worse with intermittent dropped signals and sometimes no signal at all. I have called over and over with no improved results. There is no other provider in my area so unfortunately I am stuck with Spectrum for the time being. I am frustrated and angry that Spectrum has shown such cold heartedness during a time when they should be helping Americans not trying to price gouge us. Time Warner Cable/Spectrum is terrible right now. i have been a customer with time warner for the past 6 years with proper triple bundle rate that never went up. But soon as it changed to SPECTRUM, they are charging me $150 for my triple bundle and refuses to give me new promotion . I call customer service 3 times, and all of them were so rude and two of them hung up on me. one of the customer service representative snapped at me. Do not sign up with Spectrum right now. they will charge you a lot and does not respect the fact that you were a loyal customer for years with them .I feel like they are trying to get rid of all the old customers. they charge you for everything. You will notice every month they will sneak in $ 2 or $3 to your bill. a lot of time it is more. and it will continue to get higher. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came in here for an equipment return, AFTER spending an hour on the phone with customer service because someone on their end pushed through a "hard disconnect" and they couldn't turn my internet back on. So I'm sitting here waiting on my name to be called since we no longer believe in just a line, now you have to waste your time punching your name into a tablet AND, here's the best part: when the employee (that they hired clearly just to stand around all day and do absolutely nothing) was showing me how to sign in, he hit the box that said new customer. When i told him I was actually an existing customer he told me to just punch new customer. Why? Because I'll get helped faster that way. So, I guess Spectrum cares less about existing customers than they do current ones. I'm surprised their motto isn't "Spectrum! Where we put customers last!" read more

Stood there for 10 minutes, four people behind the counter and only one of them with a customer yet no one even acknowledged my presence.

We recently switched to Spectrum TV and it's been 4 months and they have already taken away channels that we had before and moved them so you are forced to upgrade without any notification. They said they had automated phone calls telling you this but we never got one. Nothing they can do they said. Yeah right they could if they wanted to, it's all about the money!! Spectrum needs to get out of the email business! Two weeks seven phone calls to customer service to incompetent technicians resulting in zero action! Their excuses? Server issues, engineers are on it, try this website, next day try this other website, on and on and on and on and on and on. For days. To this day I have to login to Mail.TWC.com and wait at least two minutes while the page loads.when I called back they say the ticket has been closed. Pathetic! Customer service is terrible. I spoke with Oscar over the phone and he was incredible dishonest and then started yelling at me on the phone. Not really what I would expect from a supervisor. This is the worst company EVER - especially when i was FINALLY told why i had soooo many problems for the whole 2 months i have had it - AND MAKE ME PAY VERY HIGH PRICES!!!! first off they gave me the wrong plan that i ordered, then didnt get cable boxs with my package so my husband basically argued with them to give us - our cable box's thats with the plan, also sooooo many outages in my area, we could not watch any movies or tv shows with the volume not working ALSO freezing, channels we have in our package would say for us to upgrade when we already have them. After all the complaining AND having to call (I honestly CAN NOT STAND COMPLAINING) BUT had to, this is on a EVERYDAY & ALL DAY BASIS!!!! FINALLY ONE OF THE Customer service reps explained thats all happening "BECAUSE WE ARE STILL TRYING TO FULLY GET YOUR AREA SET UP AND TO WORK - ITS A NEW AREA!!" Why would spectrum let people purchase - if thats the case ALSO why are they charging high prices, ALSO NOT INFORMED that there is this many problems - because its NOT FULLY finished, programed, being built & up and running?!!! I wish I could do a negative. This was not my experience but I saw what they did to this poor lady trying to turn in equipment and was so angry by it. I am visiting and came in with a friend who was paying her bill. They gave a lady who was trying to turn in something a super hard time. She did what they told her and got on the phone with customer service. When she was helped by the next agent, they told her the notes were not good enough from their own customer service! Dude, if I were her, I would close all my accounts. I am telling my mom who has an account about this. Susie is their lead and needs to be demoted; poor attitude and ghetto approach-no customer service skills and then tried to tell security to watch the lady and her son. The lady was the one who was done wrong! Let's just say this: Maria was visited by another upset customer while I was there and he waited just for her. What does that tell you? disclaimer: this is not a review of this location. this is a review of spectrum. i found no other venue to express my disappointment. i returned the equipment (to this location) and closed my account. i expected to be charged a prorated final bill. i was informed that the rules have changed and customers are charged for a full month, regardless of usage. i spent an hour chatting with an agent and then a supervisor. the news of the change was buried in the april 2019 bill: "effective on or after 6/23/19, spectrum will no longer provide a pro rata credit for services sold on a monthly basis that are cancelled prior to the end of the current billing month." question: how many of you do actually read the spectrum news that come with the billing statements? i certainly didn't. because this new provision is so important, spectrum should have mailed the information to the customers separately, as credit cards do. i asked that my request be honored because i have been a loyal customer for a long time and always paid promptly. the supervisor was intransigent and spoke like a corporate talking head. putrid. you have been warned. read more

Up/download speed shows what it should be but latency or the time slice that the servers deliver is extremely poor, many apps show unable to connect for this reason. Many apps are very slow to open. The picture quality is not bad actually better than other providers, This however is minimized by the constant Spectrum commercials you are forced to watch which gets very old. The remote control is does not support frames forward only reverse. The support is good and you can get through very well. We also like the size of the DVR storage (big hard drive) I called to see if internet cancelation can lower enough to get s faster service and they would take very little off the price for "bundle" we really need a decent provider in the Whittier area. read more

It's so bad that I've never written a review before on yelp... and here I am. 8 days to get to my house to install cable and I made sure that I was off work and sitting next to my door. Don't do it. Just don't. I moved and had time Warner now spectrum. It was a 3 week wait for them to hook up at my new address. So I waited and waited and waited. In the meantime they tried to bill me for "unreturned equipment" I spoke to them 10 times...always the issue was "resolved" oh yes we see you still have the equipment because you still have an account and we are installing it at your new address. Technician arrived and switched out my boxes took the old ones and returned them to spectrum/time Warner. I called 3 more times to resolve billing issues, always told everything is fine- zero balance. Here we are 3 weeks later and I get a letter from a collections agency for UNRETURNED EQUIPMENT!!! What?!?! Your tech took the old equipment and I still have an account with you!!! But I doubt for long... don't do it. Internet goes out frequently, DVR doesn't work all the time AND they will charge you and send you to collections (without ever contacting you themselves) over equipment you don't have! Spectrum has horrible customer service. My bill has slowly been going up since they took over for TWC. I received my bill for this month and the increase was $30. I called Spectrum and talked to two different men. The first one seemed nice. He told me that he locked in my old price and transferred me to a different department to finalize it. Once I was transferred, the man was extremely rude. He asked me how many TVs I was watching cable on. I only have one. He laughed and asked me the question again. I said one. I only have one cable box and one TV. He asked how he could help and I told him I was transferred to finish my issue with the price. He laughed at me and told me my price wasn't locked in. He said I was transferred to him because he was the last person to be able to help me. He said my price could go down if I decreased my Internet speed. ??? I explained I didn't want to do that. He thought my plight was a huge joke. He told me that I had to pay the new price because I refused to lower my Internet. I told him I would turn in my cable box tomorrow. He said very rudely, "Fine. Not a good start with Spectrum-the cable provider!! Called to pay my bill on the automated phone line. After getting through the recording to the bill balance and right when I'm about to pay, I get switched to a customer service representative. I'm now talking to a person. I tell him I called to pay my bill. He says ok. I can do that for you. I just would like to tell you it costs $5.00 to talk to a customer representative! REALLY?? I pay a ridiculous amount of money for your service and you're going to charge me to speak to you?? I tell him I never asked to be connected to him. I was rerouted to him when I called to pay my bill in the automated service. He says no problem, I'll get you back there. Which of course was the correct thing to do after a sneaky effort to try and get $5.00 -I bet they sucker a lot of people that way. But get this- a customer of Spectrum who pays a not small monthly fee is going to get charged to talk to a human being. At first I came on here and read that this place sucks... the place doesn't suck just some of the employees do. Honestly most of them are just standing there, looking at you like you're the problem. I had an issue with my service and decided to switch names on my account. I did everything I was told. Signed papers brought back the old boxes and was told everything was ok. I was lied to. I didn't have phone service for three days had to call them and they fixed that over the phone... but later at 3 am my services got disconnected. I called them at that time and was just given run around answers... little did we know that the "employee " at the store never finished the process. The name was still under the old name not the new one, they had me sign papers and everything. It felt like a big old cluster of problems... so I was told there's nothing we can do over the phone you have to go back to the store. so I went no one said hi or anything, we signed up and were asked if we could wait a little longer keep in mind only three people in there and I counted 7 employees , but thank god Faroq was there he remembered me and the situation (he helped the original employee) I talked to him told them of all this non sense. He fixed everything!!!!! Great customer service and made me feel comfortable and way better about the situation he explained everything to us and what happened. He took extra time to make sure he knew the problem and fixed it. If Faroq is a store manager there good job! If he isn't he needs to be. He made this rainy day better! Thank you so much Faroq you showed me that there are still good people out there that know and handle their job effortlessly. Thank you very much! zero stares for this place, its been 4 weeks since they said they would let us start wifi business in pir appartment and till this day have not given us new business, die to the previous teenant having an outstanding balance that had nothing to due w us new tennats they are makeing us accountable for the past tennants here which makes no sense what so ever they didnt want to solve this issue out and just denied us saying there is a "hold in our apartment" for something we arnt liable for makes no sense.... customer service approved us and this specific store didnt which thru us completely off to why theyr customer service says one thing and the store says another we didnt feel safe to start a new service with them so we are going to deal with dishnetwork for wifi service! dont come to this specific store its horrible the workers arnt knowledgeable either try it out at your own risk read more
