I had a problem with the tv cable for a few weeks. The service technician, Emerson, troubleshot the problem very thoroughly and would not give up until he resolved the tv cable outage in my complex. Emerson is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. I recommend him and Spectrum very highly. Sales person (Asian guy, his name is Van) lied to us. Sold us a tv package and said that it came with everything for only $1.50. He didn't tell us anything about downgrading our current internet. He lied about everything, we didn't even get the extra streaming apps as advertised. Dissapointed. On January 23, 2006 (4:11PM), Oscar assisted me with the equipment I was returning due to an upgrade with Spectrum - I was not switching to another internet provider. I used the shipping box in which I had received the new equipment to safely transport the returning equipment to the Fulleton,CA Spectrum store on Harbor Blvd. While Oscar was working on his cmputer, [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked him if he could also please discard of the box for me. His answered was that he could not do it because it contained a label with my information, so I immediately removed the label off the box - he noticed that. In a dismissive actitude, he said that they did not dispose of boxes, and walked away into a door - maybe an office. Came here to pick up equipment for internet access at 7:13pm and we were out the door by 7:35pm. We waited 11 minutes to be seen. You have to check-in at the tablet to join the queue to be seen by an employee. You'll get in-line updates by text. Your name will be called 3x and then you're skipped if you don't show up in time. There are some waiting areas inside. We sat on a big cushion seat near the wall. You can browse cellphones and tablets as you wait. Warren helped us out. We weren't able to pick the 15 tv shows online so he was able to input it for us after we made our selections. He answered all our questions to the best of his knowledge. I just recently got married and moved to my wife's family home and learned that she was paying $85/month just for internet. So, with hopes of lowering the price of the internet I called Spectrum on Monday and spoke with two different representatives. The first representative told me that there is some promotions that include a streaming and phone plan that could possibly lower my wife's current plan but advised me to callback when my wife got home. My wife came home and we called and spoke with the 2nd representative named Jimmy and asked him if it's better to keep my wife's current plan or if I qualify to sign up as a new customer to get the internet for a promotional price of $49.99 for the first 12 months with autopay. Jimmy said it's better to go with the new member rate and asked me and my wife to wait for a few minutes while he cancelled my wife's plan for me before setting up a new account for me under my name. I was on the phone with Jimmy for an hour going back and forth with the pricing on the plan and when I said I don't need the phone plan he finally said he will honor the $49.99/month plan but notified me that I would have to pay a onetime setup fee of $24.99 that would come out on my first bill. My account was setup, autopay was setup, and appointment was setup for me to stop by this store the next day to drop off my wife's equipment and to pick up equipment for the new service under my name. I was called to the desk by Warren Samuels and I let him know I was there to drop off/pickup equipment and he asked if I brought the leasing agreement and I mentioned to him that I was never asked to bring one. Then, he proceeded to tell me that what I did was fraud and I said "excuse me", I let him know that I took real offense to his words and explained what happened with the two reps I spoke with over the phone. He said the new customer rate is only for new members and since your wife is still living there you are technically not a new customer. What you did was a flip and the rep committed internal fraud. Then he went on to say that he deals with these situations all the time and it's his job to fix what the reps at the call center do wrong. He added that the rep will be reported and possibly reprimanded. He even mentioned that if his manager was there, his store manager would ask him for the account number and instruct him to block the address meaning they can never have services with Spectrum ever again but after telling me in the beginning that I committed fraud he said because it wasn't my fault, he will notate on my account not to block my address as if he was doing me a favor. Warren also said if you like to do things the right way, I'm going to do the right thing and cancel both your account and you will have no internet access for 31 days. I let him know I also live with my sister-in-law that is in nursing school and she studies at home and needs internet and he told me just go to AT&T or T-Mobile and get their internet for a month and cancel and come back on 12/01. This interaction and wrongful accusation could have legal implications for defamation. This was the final straw for me and I am done trying to deal with Spectrum. I called and spoke with a gentleman named Tim (Rep III) this morning and explained what happened and he apologized for the experience I had last night at the store and he let me know that this incident would be reported to his supervisor. Tim was kind and professional. Stay away and just go to T-Mobile across the street like I did and get internet for $50/month for life with no setup costs and no hassle. read more

For some reason I cannot find a yelp page for the Brea store, but my review is also a comment on the company and business practices as a whole. My husband and I were originally paying $50 per month for internet and it has gradually increased to $84 per month. We switched to Tmobile but spectrum won't even give us a credit on the final bill or prorate it. If it were a few days I wouldn't care as much but we're at the beginning of the cycle. He refused to assist us due to my fiance not being "authorized" on the account. We've done the same exact thing we were attempting to do several times in store. You sign up for their services. The services are spotty and sometimes work. You ask them to fix it. Their technicians come out and try to fix the issue. Then afterwards say you should have no more issues. Hours later, the issue comes and you have poor internet e which in turn makes the streaming TV useless cause there is no service for their Xumo devices. Before they come out you practically unplug the modem, Re plug and wait 5 minutes to until power and online LED is solid blue and not blinking white. You then plug in your router and see if all the devices connects. TV - Hard wired Xumo - Hard wired and wireless Wireless printer Wireless camera - Security Macbook PC Ring Cell phones Also, when you report the issue, tech support via phone keeps asking you to reboot the system. Just like you just did 3-4 a day. People who have their services continue paying and using the pretty good internet, phone and TV services. However, they are unaware that it is practically paying for half or less of the services working for the full amount the customers are paying. Overall, you should be charging a hefty amount for something you barely provide. You also should Pre charge and make them pay before you provide services and disconnect when trying to resolve the intermittent issues. This business is one of the most unorganized and unhelpful businesses ive ever been in and i will never go back in here again. These people could care less about anybody. I was there to just return my old internet equipment and was told to sit down and wait which is fine but it turned out to be 45 minutes of waiting with 8 customer service representatives on 9 computers but each customer takes 30 minutes to an hour. I watched a guy customer that was there when i walked in and he was being helped buy a customer service rep and he kept going outside to smoke and talk on his phone and the Spectrum people could care less. When i was finally called up to return my equipment it took literally 30 seconds and i said wow why dont you people have a return line so we dont wait so long?
