It has been 2 months since Justin came to my house to fix/replace the downstairs toilet metal flange and I almost forget to write him a yelp review. So I had a leaky toilet due to bad rusty broken toilet flange and need to cut the ABS drain pipe in order to mount the new one. If you have a project that is more than you can handle, give Trusty Justin a call! I did and I couldn't be more happy!! Of course! The September 2019 heat wave hits and my air conditioner goes out. I noticed in the picture gallery that Justin has replaced a wall style AC unit before, so I gave him a call. We set up a time for Justin to come out. Since the unit was over 100 pounds and needed to be installed about 4 foot off the ground, Justin brought a "helper". Justin even agreed to get the unit out of my car, since I couldn't manage it by myself. Justin text me to say he was behind schedule and what time to expect him, which I appreciated. Then as it turned out, he made it right on time. Justin and his helper got the unit out of my car, removed the broken unit, and got the new one in place. Despite the more than 95 degree heat they worked tirelessly to accomplish the list of things I found for them to do. The AC unit even had to be modified, and Justin had to go get another part to do it, which he did without complaint. In no time at all Justin's got the unit on and began checking his work. For the first time in a week, the sauna conditions we were living in were dissipating. Justin and his helper were both extremely careful with my 3 cats to make sure they stayed inside the house as I requested. Which is no easy task! My one cat LOVES to get right in anyone's business if they're working on something. They were patient and friendly with their new 4-legged assistant. When the job was finished, they made sure they left things in better condition than before they got to my house. Justin even replaced the blue trash bag accents the last person who replaced the AC unit left with actual insulation and framing! PROS: * Great communication! I needed to find a handyman for a number of small projects at my elderly mother's house. I'm so pleased that I found Justin. We initially communicated by email where I sent him pictures of what needed to be done. Then I decided I needed to meet Justin and another handyman in person. I arranged to meet Justin (with his 10 month old son) at my mother's house and we discussed the scope of the projects. I did the same with the second handyman company on a separate day. We made the decision to go with Justin because he was going to do all the work while the second company would assign a handyman that we had not met to perform the work. And my mother really like Justin's baby boy! The quality of Justin's work is excellent. He has all his own tools that he carries in his truck. Justin initially installed dimmer switches and some other minor repair work. Then Justin rebuilt two wood gates that had been poorly built several years ago. One of the gates was sagging and the other gate had loose boards and exposed nails. Justin made sure to add a cross brace at a 45 degree angle to each gate to prevent sagging. He also installed self-closing hinges, a better locking mechanism, handle, and a wire tension wire on both gates. See the before and after pictures of these two gates. Now my mother has two well-built wood gates that can be locked. Justin is very personable and friendly and his pricing is excellent. He will invoice you with an hourly rate or daily rate, depending on which rate is more reasonable for you. One time, Justin charged the daily rate and he was on-site for almost 10 hours! He's also communicated with me by text to let me know his arrival time. I hired Justin to install ductwork for two recently installed bathroom exhaust fans. This project involved working in a confined attic and installing vents through succo walls. Justin was able to complete this project with ease, and the results look fantastic. The entire process was exceptional. He is THE handy man! I've contacted Justin a few times to do a few random jobs around the house and has always delivered. The first time I had patch work to be done around the house. Some small patches like covering old outlets. Some much bigger patches, such as old heater vents that I no longer needed. He patched them up perfectly. He also installed a ceiling fan in the bathroom without issues. The second time he had to run some HDMI cable in the back-wall and was able to do it without issues.
