Literally the worst company that I'm embarrassed to say I was associated with. Super unprofessional, Internet went out every week and they never had a solution to fix it and horrible pricing. I was paying almost 70$ a month to have a guy come and fix my Internet weekly. I tell everyone I know to stay clear of these people. Spectrum was unable to get three different phones to work in the apartment where I was living. There were frequent down times in contrast to their advertisements. Lastly it is extremely problematic when the sound does not match the picture on programs through on demand. Called spectrum to see how I can save money. THE customer service tech advised up to buy Rokus for the TVs and return the boxes to our local store and save the rental fees. We buy rokus, removes tvs from walls and install everything to them. I make an appointment to the local spectrum store to be told, "you can't return them because we won't accept them. You will need to update your plan snd pay more for everything". I have been a spectrum client since it was time-warner and they did everything possible to not honor my previous contract. Spectrum told me my services would be more expensive to return the boxes​ than keeping them and paying $40 rental fees for the boxes ($12 per box plus taxes) I spent 2 hours in the store and 3 hours on the phone with multiple people and everyone told me something different. I cancelled my plans and will be going elsewhere. I called Coworkers/family to ask about their experiences with spectrum and they have similar stories. Save your money and shop elsewhere read more

Ok so I saw a lot of the reviews and I noticed most was on the actually Spectrum service vs the location. So this is on the location mainly. 1st the store is inside the Crenshaw Mall. It's all the way in the back of the 1st floor by the food court to the right corner. I came in around 11am and it definitely was packed. There was about 6 works all actively working. One helping people check in and two walking around updating people on their spot in line and trouble shooting their needs before they get to the window. I heard some people had appointments which might help with the wait. I didn't have one I walked in. I was number 16 in line and jumped to number 7 in 10 minutes so the line went quickly. Store was clean and the AC was on blast lol. They have a kiosk to pay your bill w card if you only come for that but 9/10 it's a good 30 minutes to be seen and complete your transaction. That's definitely expecting when you come to a service center of any kind. Didn't have a bad experience all employees were kind and helpful nobody hanging out or poor language like I saw in other reviews. I think expectations play a huge part. Very impressed. I've had a bad taste in my mouth from my other dealings with spectrum. These guys were knowledgeable, willing to help & listen to complaints and eager to try to remedy them. They were polite too. I was looking to buy a phone and made a few comments & gripes about previous dealings and instead of just raising eyebrows & moving along with the sale, they called a manager and they both worked together and took a lot of time out to look into my concerns and see what they could do to help. So bummed that I didn't read these first or spend a little more time contemplating the change rather than believing the LIES and hype about great rates and paying off your current phones. Instead, what I got was the joy of being told I had to pay off the phones myself then I'd be reimbursed, only if I could provide the perfect receipt from T-Mobile. T-Mobile says neither AT&T nor Verizon requires this, and they certainly don't require you prepay off the phone before providing the prepaid visa in which you pay if off yourself. Fraud... they authorized someone to open an account in my name with my card then wouldn't let me close it cause I wasn't the account holder. after reporting it to the fcc they claimed they closed it and told me drop off equipment to fed ex and I did and after calling 35 times spending hours on the phone daily trying to get it closed which they claimed they did they send the equipment back and then claim my account is still open so when they transfer me to Chanan today he claimed he couldn't c it and then transfers me to so mine who never answer on hold for over a hr.. so when they charged me 80$ I will be suing for fraudulent activity and all my calls are recorded so for all the employees who put me thru hell just know you will be held accountable the moment you charge my card for your negligence and fraud. read more

By far the worse cellular company I've ever had. They double charge you one month and then "refund" you the next. I've had two months where they took out two payments of $158 and then take 5 days to refund with no cares that they double charged. They make you pay before your billing cycle even ends. When you call in to speak with a representative, they all tell you something different. The bills they give you are gibberish. Showing refunds and late payments inaccurately. I would recommend a burner pay as you go cell phone company before spectrum. Not to mention the service itself is limited. When in Chicago I had zero bars because they are not located there. Spectrum is awful. They raised my bill to almost $300 a month. I called to cancel because my husband passed and I no longer needed such a big package. NO ONE at Spectrum told me that I would have to pay for the FULL month of service after I cancelled. I called on 4/15 to cancel. Service was to be disconnected on the 22nd. Which is 6 days after the cycle rolls over. I assumed I would pay for those 5-6 days and be done with them. But NO! They said that was their policy that I was responsible for the whole month and told me I should've known that, it states it in my bill. Even tho I told a supervisor that my husband always took care of the bills and I hadn't seen a bill because it was paperless. He was very very rude and had no compassion for the fact that my husband was deceased and this stupid rip off of a policy was never explained to me. spectrum should be more transparent about their proration policy. be mindful that even if you close your account, you'll still be accounted for the following months full service. they also won't take you out of autopay when you request it. i had to cancel my service with them TWICE before they completed the order and neither of those time was it made clear i would still owe the followings months service (even tho it was disconnected and no longer being used). on top of all of this, their prices are insane and they offer no discounts for customers who have been with them for over 10 years. i will never use this service again. read more

Our internet bill was $90 per month and we switched to Verizon Home Internet. After waiting for about an 1 and 20 mins, we got to talk to a representative named Anthony. He was very rude and kept asking for information on how we use the internet. In addition, he kept offering new deals after we repeatedly told him we were not interested at all. Finally fed up, we talked to his supervisor Henry and still offered deals but not as aggressive. Their customer service is garbage in addition to the insane monthly charge. Verizon monthly charge is only $45 per month with the first month free with the condition that we are Verizon wireless customers as well(cell phone). Furthermore, they said even if we cancelled 10 days into the billing cycle, they would still charge the full amount for the month (full $90 instead of $30 for the 10 days we used). Finally, we own our own modem, but they were claiming it was theirs and that we need to ship it back to them or receive additional charges. Absolutely terrible. We have been having wifi issues for a week and it was recommended we get a wifi extender. I requested through our provider Spectrum as we need today for work calls etc. They submitted an order for in-store pickup which they then confirmed via email. I drove all the way to the store and was told they are out of stock. And they have no phone in the store for you to check back to see when in stock! You have no choice but to drive all over town for hours to try and find a store that has it in stock. Unbelievable! read more

Terrible service, sub-par equipment, service visits a joke. They raise rates without notice, and then don't offer any customer discounts when requested. They don't prorate service ending with the date that you discontinue service. You will get charged the full month after requesting service disconnection. And their customer service by telephone is horrible. Don't get sucked into signing up with Spectrum for Phone/Television/Internet from all of their advertising, you will eventually regret it. This is the worst store ever. First of all the address is wrong when you call Spectrum and get the address.. You have to use Google. It is not a nice small either. I can't believe this is the only Spectrum store to get a phone from. Second of all they said they had the Samsung A10e phone in stock. But when I went there they said they don't have it and tried to upsell me to the A20 with no discount. Basically Spectrum stinks. They promise me the phone would arrive today Friday that I ordered on a phone order. Tomorrow is my son's birthday and I wanted to get him his phone. Then I got an email that says it will arrive on Monday after his birthday and after he already left to his mom's house. Spectrum lied about that. Previous they lied to me about my Samsung Note 10 plus also that it would arrive on a Friday when in fact it arrived on the following Tuesday. Then their plans stink too. $14.50 for 1 gig of data. They kept increasing the price of the service every few months in $5, $10. When I called them, they said it was an increase everyone had but I asked 10 different people that use spectrum, including people living on the same building and nobody got the increase. To complete the package, now that I closed my account, I had to travel and wasn't able to return the equipment right away so they charged me $59 for not returning it. Spectrum never again! read more

Thought I'd have a long wait and not-so-great service based on some of these reviews, but I just had my best experience at a Spectrum store yet. Only one person ahead of me in line and he was done in 3 minutes. I needed to set up service and get a technician to install coaxial cable in a new location in the place we're moving into. Felix was super helpful and super friendly, and got my appointment set up and service paid for quickly. Hopefully the appointment goes well next week, but my in-store experience was surprisingly excellent. read more

A most UNPLEASANT encounter with a Tech who used GROSS PROFANITY in our home in which Spectrum has FAILED to resolve the issue to satisfaction. A young tech named "Michael" come to our home a few months ago in response to slow internet ( later I found Spectrum has a reported issue of throttling even though they deny it https://vpninsights.com/internet-throttling/bypass-spectrum-throttling/). He came in with an overbearing attitude and demanded who was the last tech who was here and what did they do? I responded I did not know and he could easily retrieve the records from his home office. He then continued in an overbearing manner asking questions I could not answer. Then his insults continued with we have "old equipment" and other demeaning statements. I eventually simply told him to just do his job and he responded by saying "Fuck You". At that point my wife, hearing him, put him out of the house. I contacted his manager who apologized but did nothing further except stating "we are handling it" and Spectrum immediately sent another team who professionally researched the issue. Still sporadic and slow internet. After about a month I contacted Spectrum HQ and expressed my complete dissatisfaction with progress and the emotional distress this young tech caused in our home. HQ offered me a settlement. Of TWENTY DOLLARS. I informed them this was wholly inadequate for the unwarranted distress their tech caused. I want reasonable resolution of this gross injustice and stress caused by this PROFANITY-SPEWING tech who was young enough to be one of my sons and called for his firing. Spectrum's overall cavalier response with only superficial apologies is wholly UNACCEPTABLE. read more
