Thought I'd have a long wait and not-so-great service based on some of these reviews, but I just had my best experience at a Spectrum store yet. Only one person ahead of me in line and he was done in 3 minutes. I needed to set up service and get a technician to install coaxial cable in a new location in the place we're moving into. Felix was super helpful and super friendly, and got my appointment set up and service paid for quickly. This company is going nuts, I had an auto payment on for years, and in Feb of 2024, they said I was 2 months late, anyway paid it and reset the auto payment, but on Friday 4/12/24 got another late payment notice for 2 months, called them today 4/14/24, they wanted $5.00 to speak to a live person, my God did this piss me off. I am so upset with this business right now! I cannot even give them one star. Because they don't deserve it! So the star I've been forced to give by Yelp is a zero I had a representative from spectrum come to my home and offer me internet service. I told him that I was on the ACP program which is a free connectivity program. He said no problem they were just switch me over to Spectrum. Unfortunately, Malik neither did the service agent that came to my home to set up the services, tell me, that it was I who was responsible for transferring my ACP program account to Spectrum. I am a 67-year-old disabled senior. At the moment I cannot afford to heat my home. In Spectrum is now charging me $90 because they never told me that I was supposed to disconnect from one program to another. If they had told me that I would have never switched in the first place. This afternoon I spoke with a lovely young lady at Spectrum who unfortunately told me there was nothing they could do about the $90. I do not have $90 to pay spectrum, when I was on a free connectivity program why would I do that. She was very sorry that this had happened to me but she said there was nothing she could do about the $90. Needless to say I was extremely upset by this outcome. One thing that I failed to do while I was talking to her was to tell her to shut it down then because the bill is still calculating. So I called back and I got connected with a young man named SCOTT. Here's where I get really pissed! SCOTT DECIDED HE WAS GOING TO SCHOOL ME ON WHAT I DIDN'T DO THAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. I called a spectrum store in Los Angeles it was a very agonizing experience, I called to get information and before I knew it my package was changed without my knowledge, and then the customer service representative would not restore my original . When I called several times to get some relief each time it was a different price and most of my channel's weren't there. After many years of not posting bad reviews, ( I normally take up any problem with a business directly with them, rather than to criticize them publicly), but switching our three cell phones from Cricket to Spectrum Mobile has been a nightmare of inefficiency and incompetence. I was with Verizon for many years, - and then Cricket as cell coverage got much better to match Verizon's previous dominance. Either of those will give you better customer service than Spectrum (and that's not saying much). We are still waiting on a replacement for a faulty sim card sent. It has now been ELEVEN DAYS since we activated the phone and it still does not work. It worked fine with Cricket. Beware! read more

One of the worst custumer support I have ever experienced. Called to see if I could get more internet speed even if I had to pay more (for my busines), the costumer suppport redirected me to billing department, then billing department did not know how to help me so they redirected me to some "business internet" department, business internet did not want to help me so they send me to "custumer care" then after explaining once again my request, they redirected me to billing department again. Its like they dont want to do their jobs or they dont know how to. I told the lady I been passing arround for about 45 minutes and I needed someone to actually try to help me so she said, "let me approve you this form and I will call you back to this number in 15 mins", 7 days later I never receive anything and my guess is that they just wanted to get rid of me. read more

I called for new service simply for internet as a completely new customer, spoke to a guy and told him that I am watching my budget as I just had to move and my new place was more pricey and that I simply wanted internet...nothing more. He said I was all set up that it was going to be $80 a month which I thought was kind of expensive for just internet so after I hung up with him, did my research and internet was supposed to be $30 a month. Called back the next day and relayed this and the guys said that he signed me up for this premium package with all these channels that I never asked for and I explained that I just wanted internet. Honestly, Spectrum is not even top 3 internet service providers but unfortunately in my area they are the only one. So I am forced to deal with them. You would think that for a company that does not provide the best service the customer service would make up for it. Completely wrong! The online system never seems to work especially if you are trying to submit account requests through their website. And the only other option is to mail your request in. They do not even have an email address. Its laughable. An internet service provider's website does not work and is constantly having issues. Anyway I have to give thanks to Josue who helped me take care of my bill and my modem. He showed me what good deals they had on internet and phone service. If I could give Spectrum mobile a "0," I would. After being on hold for 20 minutes to talk to customer service and being disconnected, I began a new call and heard that the wait time (at 9:45 pm Pacific Time) would be 21 to 32 minutes, I figured now would be a good time to do a Yelp review. I had a Spectrum account for Internet service at one house, and decided to add another Spectrum Internet account for a different house. When I called to open a new Internet account, the sales person extolled the value of their new mobile program. Since I had an Internet account, I could add a mobile phone account for only $14/month. I'd already opened another line with T-mobile for a friend which was costing me $40, because he was working out in a wilderness area with lots of bears. So he needed a cellphone for safety reasons. The T-mobile coverage in his job area was bad, but Spectrum uses Verizon towers, which meant he'd get better coverage. Plus, he really doesn't use his mobile phone that much, so he didn't need much data. So $14 would be fine for his needs. He never sets up voice mail, and doesn't pay attention to voice mails. He's a Luddite. Spectrum couldn't use his existing phone, which meant he had to buy a new, Spectrum-compatable phone. And that took time to go and find one, as well as about $100 for a new phone. He filled out all the forms for the phone, and I thought all was well. I also assumed that his mobile bill would be sent to me by snail mail, along with my Internet bill, since I was getting the mobile account for $14, only because it was tied into the Internet account. Meanwhile, Spectrum was apparently leaving my friend voicemail messages about paying his phone bill, which he was neither retrieving nor listening to. So he ended up with a phone that suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason, at least as far as he was concerned. He used another phone to let me know there was a problem, and when I called Spectrum I found out that my friend had agreed to autopay (he doesn't use credit cards, so this was not going to work), and I had assumed I'd just pay for his mobile account when I paid for the Internet, and he could pay me back. This meant that my friend was now going to be phone-less In potentially dangerous areas - the very situation I'd been trying to avoid. How ironic, because when you're on hold with Spectrum mobile, you'll hear things like these: "it's important to have a lifeline" and "count on us to keep you covered." So, to try to have his service restored, I went to the Spectrum storefront in Carlsbad, CA to pay cash. Guess what? Unlike T-Mobile and AT&T, Spectrum won't take cash to pay for money owed on a cellphone! Why? They are set up to take cash for Spectrum Internet and television services, so why can't people pay cash for mobile, too?!? I was told by the Carlsbad office that Spectrum has a "pilot" program to allow cash payments for mobile phones in only two places, Riverside and Temecula. So I told my friend to go to the Riverside Spectrum storefront and pay for his mobile phone there. Guess what? Contrary to what I'd been told, the Riverside store wouldn't take cash for mobile phone accounts. My friend doesn't have a credit or debit card, so he couldn't pay off his debt to Spectrum. This impacts me, because it's now a bad debt on my account. I guess Spectrum thinks it's above the US Constitution, which provides that US currency MUST be accepted in payment of all debts. Although the fine print in the initial mobile agreement states that consumers agree to autopay via debit or credit card - meaning that they can't pay with cash - I doubt that consumers' constitutional right to pay any debt with US currency can be implicitly waived like this. Spectrum's policy of not accepting cash for mobile services is elitist and racist. Which groups of people are most unlikely to have credit and/or cards or a bank account? Poor people, many of whom (but not all) are people of color. This is why at least 21 cities and states have passed laws requiring all businesses to accept cash for anything, not just debts. So, for example, Spectrum's policy of not accepting cash to pay for mobile services is illegal in San Francisco. I bet Spectrum never bothered to wonder why other mobile providers all have a way that consumers can pay with cash If they want or need to do so.. Although I had to wait a long time to speak to someone, the customer service rep for Spectrum (a young woman in Missouri) DID do an amazing job with the thankless task of placating an annoyed consumer. read more

After 5 -6 hours over two afternoons mostly on hold, I gave up the idea of saving money to switch from Verizon to spectrum mobile. Every person that I spoke to was positive they knew what the problem was and passed me on. Asking for a supervisor? Got one and he passed me on to another inept person. I was so frustrated in the end that I was practically in tears. I'm a business owner. I try to be very patient. But everyone of the 8-10 staff that I spoke to was very 'understanding' but would put me on hold ( once fir 50 minutes) me always thinking this is the final stop, and then a new person would come on. At one point they couldn't find my account and told me that I'd have to set it up again and order a new SIM card!!!!! I left Verizon due to their putting the brakes on your data whilst in Mexico, and charging for every .5GB you need, even if you already paid them for 20GB and only used 2GB. I went to Spectrum. They had a promotion to trade in phones, I sent them a Note 9 Galaxy, to which they took, confirmed receipt of, confirmed it was in the condition required, confirmed the promotion and never credited one dime. I have had to waste more than 40 hours trying to get that money credited, succeeded twice, and both times they reversed the credit. In fact they just stole the phone. read more

I'm fairly new to spectrum Mobil but have had other spectrum services for years. With that being said I've never had a service that DID NOT have 24/7 technical support! Spectrum Mobil does NOT HAVE 24/7 support and I've been having issues with my service not being able to make or receive calls. I was in contact earlier with them today but the issue still remains! It's sad that when you have a cellular device and may need to use it but have an outage or issues you have to wait after 9pm till 8 am to get ahold of a support agent!! Their other services offer 24/7 support as this should, Pray no one is in an actual emergency after 9pm and your service is having issues because you're just shit out of luck unfortunately. If your other services can offer 24/7 support then your wireless should as well, I mean what are you doing with the money you get from customers? Pay some support people to make sure your customers are taken care of properly and are available to assist with issues 24/7 as they happen after the hours of 8am-9pm!!!!! read more
