First of all I thought it was closed since almost the entire mall is empty - which is sad! But it was open, I needed to get a new SIM card so came by on a Saturday late afternoon. Someone purchased a phone under my account as I already had that same phone active A specialist name Betty stated that my account isn't fraudulent do to the person who came and ordered the phone how my information so the transaction for the phone was authorized but it wasn't authorized by me but due to the fact that they didn't want to do an investigation thoroughly. They stated that it wasn't fraud was civil. I asked him how was the civil with a civil mean I doesn't. (5/4) On Spectrum's website, I signed up as a new customer on 4/27 and selected 'use my own equipment' during checkout -- meaning my own router. I don't own a Spectrum modem. A week later, I received no modem, no installation kit, and no communication whatsoever. When I contacted support on 5/4, I was told to go pick up a modem at a local store. No apology for the delay, no explanation of why nothing was shipped, and my request for a modest one-time credit was denied. As a new customer, before service even started, this is already a poor experience. The only reason I'm staying is that AT&T's alternative in my area is 18Mbps at $60 -- so Spectrum has no real competition here and apparently knows it. Hope the actual service is better than the onboarding. --- **Update (5/22):** Since posting this review, my connection has been dropping intermittently -- cutting out suddenly for anywhere from a few minutes to 10-15 minutes before restoring on its own. This has affected me and my family repeatedly. I can't say with certainty whether this is simply Spectrum's service quality, or something else. I'm not sure why this Spectrum store has such bad reviews. A few months ago, Jas helped us get a great promo after years of being Spectrum customers without any good deals. She saved us money and gave us really helpful information. My husband originally came in for a phone replacement since his had broken, and he ended up leaving with a new iPhone--so she actually helped us with two things that day. Didn't rush us at all! We've had spectrum internet for years and all they ever did was raise their rates. See ads on TV for new customers, only 19.99 a month, well we've been paying $90 per month for years. So we tried a new provider the beginning of April and unplugged spectrum to see how new wifi worked. After a week long trial we decided to switch. On 04/09/2026 I took their modem in and cancelled. Then on 04/27/26 spectrum charged us $90 for April. The associate said they charge for the whole month and if I would have come in on the 8th I wouldn't have been charged. I've had one of the worst customer experiences with Spectrum at the 3650 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd store in Los Angeles. * The staff promised me 600 Mbps internet + 50GB mobile data, with free installation, activation, and first month waived. * They refused to show me any contract or the required Broadband Facts Label (FCC requires it), saying I'd get it later by email. * When I got home, the actual plan was only 500 Mbps + 30GB. * To make things worse, store entered my address incorrectly and then customer service created a new account instead of fixing it -- just to count another "sale." That added new installation and activation fees, which the store refused to take responsibility for, since it was CS created the account. * Now the store says "it's a CS issue," and CS says "it's a store issue." Both sides push blame back and forth while I'm stuck paying for their mistake. It is ridiculous how they are simply able to cheat without any consequences. I've already filed complaints with FCC because this feels like deliberate misleading sales and consumer fraud. don't trust verbal promises. They make things up without fulfilling them. read more

My bill was ALMOST as much as my share of the rent as of this morning. For 2 days I have tried to cancel my service because more options are available now. I specifically said so 2026? They said yes. After 11 months my bill was higher. The FCC got me nowhere. We have had a terrible experience with Spectrum that I want ppl to know about. We bought me a new iPhone online from Spectrums website (which if you know me I wait forever to update or buy new phones). Once we got the phone we couldn't get it to work. During the set up process and software update it crashed and then froze and then ceased to work. We contacted spectrum who first told us we could take it to any spectrum store to evaluate it and most likely return and/or exchange it. We get to our local store and we're told "no since we bought it online you either have to return it online or go to Apple for their warranty " . We then went to Apple....and they stated that the year warranty they offer has to be managed through Spectrum so they could not help us without charging us. So we contact Spectrum again and are told the only option is to do a return. We start the return process with the intention of once completed to go to a local store and purchase a phone. First we were told there would be a $50 restocking fee for the phone. We tried to argue this given that this is a BROKEN PHONE that we have paid $1000 for and doesn't work. It's not like we changed our mind...ITS BROKEN. There's a 14 day return period and we had the phone less than 24 hours when we shipped it back via fed ex. Now that they have the phone we are being charged about $500 for damages to this already broken phone. They charged our card without any notification...and once we called we got conflicting information. One person couldn't give us the cause for the charge due to their review/grading of the phone said there were no damages....and then the next person said it was reviewed/graded a second time and said there was a scratch. THERE WAS NO SCRATCH on this phone. They cant give us evidence of a scratch. We were then told that the scratch most likely happened during transit and that we (the customer who bought the broken phone) is responsible for the damage even if it was in transit via fedex. How's this right? First of all the shipping company should be held liable if that's the case....but instead of going after them, Spectrum goes after their existing customer. Second...they gave us no option but to send it back to them via FedEx. We asked to do in person but this was not an option. Third...let's say they're telling the truth and there is a scratch....THIS IS A BROKEN PHONE that we purchased, did not work and we returned with 24 hours so we could get a working phone. So we are being charged for a scratch on a broken phone that can't be used. We aren't even being allow to get this phone fixed and get it back. At this point even if there is a scratch I don't care! If they would just fix the phone I'll take the phone with the scratch! This such awful customer service. We have driven around to several locations, been on the phone for multiple calls and what was supposed to be a fun purchase is now miserable. And we've retuned a product that DOES NOT WORK and are being charged for supposed damages that can't be proven, that was likely done by the carrier, that was outside of our control. read more

I was with Verizon but switched to spectrum mobile. Everything worked out GREAT! switching lines was easy. Plus they paid off my I phone that had a remaining balance. They sent me a virtual credit card, it could not have been easier. Plus spectrum is half the price of Verizon for mobile service. Customer service is always outstanding. The Silva family... P.S. if you have a remaining balance on your phone that you are transferring be sure to get the billing information from Verizon before you port over your phones.
