Spectrum is getting worse. Internet and TV services are intermittent or interrupted due to unexpected "technical difficulties or maintenance." But, price raises progressively within a year. My current bill is $260.12 And now with their new billing system, they cut services out of knowledge. They didn't provide me with enough information from the beginning of my contract about my rights as a secondary person on the account. Horrible experience! I waited over a month just to transfer my line from my friend's plan to my own. I had to make multiple long calls (some over 2 hours!), speak with different representatives, and got incorrect information every time. To keep my line, they made me buy home internet and an extra phone line--which I later found out I didn't even need! Canceling them was another headache and extra cost. Calling Spectrum now gives me stress, and I've also inconvenienced my friend because of their poor service. Every rep says something different, making the whole process confusing and frustrating. Rude service from Karla at 8000 Van Nuys Blvd., Panorama City, CA. I purchased a new phone and asked what is the trade in amount for the old one. Karla replied, "there won't be one because the transaction has been completed." I responded "why didn't you ask me." Karla flippently said "you should have told me. We have customers who keep their phones and some who trade, I can't read your mind." The comment was both negative and unprofessional. I again asked, why didn't you give me a choice no matter what I would decide. It should be a standard part of your training. I wanted to know how much trade in would have been. She resentfully calculated $3 figure due to loose back cover. Not sure how objectively she arrived at that number, but didn't pursue it. Bottom line I have over 40 years experience in customer service and know BAD SERVICE to the public when I experience it. I came from Ukraine. I have had better and more stable internet under missile and drone attacks than in Reseda for as long as we rented a house there. Playing is impossible, especially games like Diablo 4. Constant freezes and disconnections from the server. I had to buy my own router to solve half of the problems. But the loss of data packets didn't go away. There were times when the internet was down all day. And no line work or problems were reported. I curse everyone in charge of communications in that neighborhood. You're total slackers and idiots. read more

When I was offered to sign up with Spectrum mobile, I was never informed about data roaming fees, which came as a complete surprise when I noticed significant charges on my bill. The lack of transparency in disclosing these fees is not only deceptive but also unfair, resulting in unwarranted charges. I've reached out to customer service multiple times, hoping for a resolution, but each interaction has been a nightmare. The representatives have been unfriendly and completely unhelpful, claiming they couldn't do anything to address the charges or fix the situation. After filing a formal complaint, several personnel tried to contact me, only to repeatedly state that the charges were valid, without offering any form of resolution or support. Their complete disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling and unfathomable and has left me feeling ignored and helpless. It's clear that Spectrum cares more about taking customers' money than providing any sort of meaningful service or fostering customer loyalty. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and overall deceptive practices have made my experience with Spectrum extremely frustrating and infuriating. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable, customer-friendly service. I've been a long-time Spectrum TV and internet subscriber and recently subscribed to their mobile service. Besides Spectrum's ever increasing rates ($20 yearly since the pandemic) they have deceitful business practices. They insure the customer that "There is no contractual obligations, cancel at any time". This is a lie. To your dismay, you will find if you cancel your services 3 days into a new billing cycle, they will charge you for the entire month stating that basically you agreed to some sort of contract agreement or "terms of services" (which basically is a contract) that you were not aware of, even though you were told no contact and cancel at any time. They promised 600 Mbps speeds for $61 dollars. When the technician arrived to install it, he said we will only get 100Mbps and to call customer service if we wanted more. 3.25 hours later, the customer service representative on the phone said there was nothing she could do. Even though she WORKS FOR THE COMPANY! Do not ignore the countless complaints that they have. There's a reason why so many of my neighbors have AT&T despite their speeds being a fraction of Spectrum's. I never thought AT&T would be better, but Spectrum makes them look good. Very good. I do not like this company. Decent internet service but horrible customer support and price increases. The customer service representatives are not well trained. Each one will give you a different answer for the same question. I've talked to 3 different agents about my issue and all 3 misinformed me. Their customer support is a joke. Who are training them? It will take about an hour or more on the phone just to end or cancel your service. They will ask a hundred questions before actually helping you out with the cancelation. Started at a good rate, and then rates creeped up. The worst thing was when a mobile phone was added and because the number was compromised, taken off our plan and subsequently deactivated, Spectrum added it back after awhile, Spectrum put it back in our plan without our knowledge and started charging us $29+ per month for about 3 months before I noticed it. When I called and questioned why it was restored in our plan, Spectrum said that was done after the promotion ended. I told them that number was deactivated and therefore no one can use it, and if you can prove to me that any one call or receive with that number, I will understand and consider the charges valid. No proof, but Spectrum insisted charges are valid. That left us to cut ties with Spectrum by canceling service. read more

I recently had a modem become unresponsive, no internet. I called and was told that there was a blackout in my area. The next morning when I called, I was told that there is no blackout and It was suggested that I request a technician, which I did, that showed up, on time, and ready to solve the issue. After some tests on the cable etc., Adrian determined that the cable was bad and went about replacing the 100' run, running the cable along the eave, instead of strewn over the roof, bringing the new cable in in a much better place than the original. When the new cable was connected, the modem was determined to be unresponsive and he and an off site technician quickly initialized the new modem. The work he did, in the hot sun, amounted to a new installation. He was thorough, courteous, and explained the steps he was taking. Should your Spectrum equipment grow old, you could not find better service that was afforded by Adrian and the customer service rep that got the ball rolling. 5 Stars! read more

I am paying for an internet service with Spectrum. They raise the monthly fees without notification or explanation. I requested a few times from different customer service representatives to close my account, but they all tried to convince me to stay by reducing the fees, keep me long time over the phone line. When I insisted to close the account, they left me on the line for a long time and finally told me that it has been closed, but they can not give me proof of closure. The last customer service representative, named Nicolas, told me that he closed it and I will expect an email, which never arrived and the account remain open. I already returned all the equipment to Spectrum. But their behaviour is harassment and they have my payment information, to keep charge me. read more

Don't believe any Spectrum advertisement! They say your rates are locked in for a certain amount of time, but they lie and raise your rates anyway! Their repair tech are unskilled that always blame their service issues on your equipment. It takes 5 or more 2 to 4 hour windows from unskilled techs, and several complaints to management, wasting 30 to 40 hours of your time before they send a competent tech, and the problem is always outside with Spectrum lines and equipment! read more
