What an absolutely poorly run store. Why have a reservation option when they still force you to wait outside with the other walk-ins? It takes about an hour to get in because there's only three people inside. It's Covid times so I understand there will be delays but the supervisor was busy with a customer that another worker was already helping. This wasn't some technical issues or something that requires the supervisor. It was a woman who was opening a new line, asking really basic questions. There's 3 employees working and 2 of them are helping one person for 20 minutes? The woman behind me got so upset at having to wait an hour that she confronted the supervisor with the same thing. Literally took the words out of my mouth. Also, it took me 2 minutes to get my equipment replaced. Waited an hour for a 2 minute task. not to mention when I visited the other day, I stood in line until the woman at the front told me that they ran out of modems. Couldn't have told me when she saw me with the modem under my arms the whole time? They walk around asking if anyone wants to pay inside the store, but they're completely oblivious when it comes to anything else. Smh. read more

This review is for this store only. Not online or via telephone customer service or their prices. I called and placed an order for wireless Internet and was told I could pick up equipment in store. I arrived 15 minutes before opening since I see people have complained about long waits. The employees opened their doors on time & greeted everyone. They were friendly & efficient. I walked in and was greeted but after that the customer service was horrible. I was there to pick up an HD cable box as mine went out this morning and I NEED it for Dodger Opening Day game today. I was "entertained" (not assisted with customer service) by Juan who stated that I needed to bring in my box at home that stopped working this morning. Mind you I was on the phone with Spectrum on two occasions who attempted to provide technical support to no success. I explained to Juan that the inconvenience was a result of their equipment and I should not be inconvenienced further by having to go home and have a 1hr round trip for the exchange. I suggested if I could pick up the box with them and later return or mail the box in. He was not willing to provide this customer service. I asked for a manager to which he replied the manager (later found out her name was Kimberly Foster) was out on a personal emergency. I proceeded to ask who was then next in charge at their store and Juan said no one was in charge that could possibly help me further than he could not. I drove to the next Spectrum center (Chino - on Grand Ave) on my commute home from DTLA. I went in with the same problem, suggestions, and request. As you walk in there's a screen to log yourself in. Before I could finish entering myself someone came to help me. Pretty quick, however maybe it was because he saw me carrying some equipment and maybe he thought I was returning equipment because I was disconnecting my service which I was. He tells me "we don't take equipment from people who are disconnecting their service" and that I had to take it to the UPS store. Hands me a sheet of paper too with the address. Pretty believable, however the reason why I was at the store was because I was just on the phone with the Spectrum customer service agent who I thought told me I could drop it off there. When I got home my son even said I could drop it off there too. So I called customer service again and a different agent told that I could drop it off at the Spectrum store and that the guy at the store was wrong to tell me I couldn't. She was going to file a complaint about this store which I hope flows down to management there. Hopefully they change their "in store" policy. read more

Today I spoke to Tim at Spectrum, (there are probably a million). However, this gentleman helped me with all my questions about starting up my services with cable as well as internet. He never rushed me off the phone, and was very polite. He helped me make a decision to start up services immediately. He walked me through many different options to fit my budget. He explained to me he is a family man, and understands when it comes to staying within your budget. Hats off to Tim . I came to this location after experiencing some pretty poor customer service from the Alhambra Spectrum. Given the difficulties from the previous location, I honestly didn't know what to expect coming in here, but wow. I was greeted right away and within minutes the problem I was experiencing with my modem and router was resolved. The staff member who helped me was Israel, and they were so kind and patient (my problem was a bit unique and kind of difficult, so it required some explaining) and very knowledgeable. They walked me through each step of the process and helped me make an informed decision, and sent me on my way with a solution that saved me hours of headache. Employees continued to walk around and play on their phone instead of helping customers. Then when a new one would come out of the office she took someone who didn't wait in line and just walked up to her asking a question. I canceled this service. I walked in, asked the store manager for a quick swap with the adaptor. He said no, I had to wait an hour for their mistake. The disappointing part was that the store manager was just standing along the back wall with hands behind his back. The last time I visited this store, they couldn't accept check payment and advised the Alhambra branch could accept it. I went their waited in line and it turned out their machine could not accept checks that time either. Regarding Spectrum in general, I had bundled service of internet + phone for my home for $77 on promo rate for a year. When a year comes, the rate jumped $40 to $117. Customer service on the phone "would gladly reduce $10 and that is the best rate". Like some people have mentioned, the internet would go on/off randomly at different times and days of the week, sometimes a few minutes and sometimes 10+ minutes. Speed fluctuated during those times. I called a few times and they sent techs out. Techs were courteous but couldn't completely solve the problem. I also called a couple times regarding the rate and the internet quality. Every time, I was told this is the best rate available, and I even asked if it would be cheaper if I remove phone service. I was told the bundle was giving me "more discount, as internet itself is $120". They came again a week ago trying to fix it. The tech worked on it for an hour, changed a cable from the pole to my home. It was up for an hour at slower speed (around 50 mbps on wifi and was down for the rest of the day. Not sure what is going on with Spectrum/Charter, but that plus their constant saying "$120 is your best rate" help me make up my mind. I have given them so many chances and even thought were downtimes could be due to my 6 year old router and bought a new mesh system. Same issue. I switched to ATT Fiber and the speed is excellent and stable. Speed over ethernet is 600+ mbps and 200+ for mbps wifi. Their promo is $60/month internet only with $300+ cashback depending on where and how you sign up. read more

They were very rude and we were trying to get help for my dads phone and they said that they couldn't help since we owed money, and then the manager I think he's the manager but this guy comes out and tells us that they only sell phones they don't help. And then told us to call customer service and we did and at the end they didn't want to help us at all, we asked this guy if he can help and the same guy that spoke to us before told him "we don't help them" and he went over with them. They were then laughing at us and making fun. And when we left to go to another spectrum they were mocking us like "have a good day" and then would laugh. Never ever again going to this spectrum. Horrible, horrible Internet service. Internet goes down 1-2 times at random times each day. It's down for 3-5 minutes, which is minimally an annoyance but a real ass-kicker during a zoom business call or when streaming. Interruptions aren't an issue with you, go for it. As I was waiting some came out from the back and the person asked for service and they were helped a and I had to wait, this person came after me. So I went up and asked to be help and they said I had to wait, I told him that I was waiting but they were not going by order. He said that no and I had to wait. After talking to him he did not even know what I needed and he assumed I needed a retune. Anyway after I was helped he didn't even say thank you for coming in or do you need anything else. Cable service is very expensive. My bill for cable and internet was over $175 a month so I cut out the cable and now rely on internet programming. I've always had trouble with Spectrums internet service and have had many technicians come to my home over the years to address the problem of a disappearing signal. Changed the modem several times and purchased new routers. Technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable but the problem has yet to be solved. Went in to return their router since I bought my own. The guy helping us seemed new since there was someone telling him how to do it step by step. All through the process they didn't talk about updates on my account or how the price will change now that I'm returning the router. All they said was "ok, you're all set" and gave me a receipt. I got home and my wifi was not working at all. I called Spectrum and apparently they cancelled my service. If you're signing up for TV Internet or cell phone please make sure that you get the person that's helping you 1st name last name initial and date and time. I was issued a credit and then it was pulled back uh called about the concern and apparently no note was inserted into the computer even though I asked for it to be done.When calling back to correct the issue spectrum said that there was never any record of any credit being issued on a date that I called. I was transferred over to a supervisor or lead And somehow he managed to pinpoint where my credit was issued from a 10 minute conversation with representative in this under 3 minutes I don't know how that's possible But he was able to. Further talking to a representative interrepresentative I asked if a supervisor lead can go back quickly To reveal call she said she was not a 100% sure and and the further the conversation went in trying to figure out how to protect myself somehow she told me yes they can go ahead and do so I told her but you just assured me that you weren't a 100% sure about that sheBy saying that she asked a management in regards to this so there's no way of knowing if she actually did or not because it's he said she'd set type of deal but I know it was more or less for legal purposes English purposes because the credit that I was issued was not correct and they have it on video recording and even the representative for originally has spoken you've told me that my bill currentWas only $75.96. Stay away!!!!!!! Stay away from going to this spectrum store because theirs an employee in this location that is bitter and angry with his job. If I can give a no start for services I would. Here goes my situation. On November 22, 2020, I had contacted spectrum on telephone to informed them of my moved from the location where I was receiving my services. Therefore, my mom contacted spectrum to open her own services and we were told to drop off old equipment and get the new equipment. While waiting outside of the store, I realize the spectrum store didnt have any instructions for Covid and the agent came outside the store yelling at the customer saying "we need seperate." I explained to agent that theirs no instructions explaining his request and he cant come out yelling at customers like that. This same agent helped us not knowing the nature of the situation when all we were there for was to return my equipment and leave. I felt harassed and targeted when this agent that was not familiar with my current situation made an assumption without listening or taking the time to read the notes on my file. I didnt think it was polite nor professional for him to assume something that is not. I could only imagen how many people this employee has intimated without a probable cause. read more

I just left this location and had the worst experience with Spectrum customer service. I was helped by a man named JOSE, and he was rude the second he started helping me. I told him that my mother and I had set up our account over the phone and everything was already finished, all we needed to do was come in with our ID to verify and he started telling us no, the transfer didn't go through and they gave you a new number. I immediately gor upset and said that is not what they told me over the phone and everything is already completed. He fed us a bunch of bullsh$$ and told us to wait while he worked on our account. He heled another lady while we waited and then told us its fine we can leave and he will fix it later. I called customer service when I got home, and found out that everything was fine, my nimber did transfer and that they apologized for his rude attitude. I don't know wth was wrong with JOSE but he needs to get his attitude checked. It was bad enough I had to take my mom and wait to just get his shitty attitude. My mom gets chemo, and its hard enough to take her out when she is feeling weak, but to do that and get his crappy service was just unbelievable. Please train that man to be more respectful and learn how to properly check accounts, before giving false information. Let me start off by saying that Spectrum's wifi service is pretty trash. It's slow for no reason sometimes, randomly turns off, and can't handle multiple devices even though customer service will tell you otherwise. Now that that's out of the way, this location is surprisingly great. It's clean, organized, and efficient. They have a self check-in system and a screen that shows people with and without appointments. All the employees seem to be bilingual in Spanish and English -- for obvious reasons. I was there probably less than 10 minutes, so I'd recommend this location if you're like me and live in mid-city and have no nearby locations. read more

Best to go very EARLY, to get what you need done. Good customer service once your attended to. Make sure to enter and log your name on the list on the iPad they have at the front of the store, don't skip that part and expect to still be seen right away. If you arrive maybe two hours after opening time you will be screwed waiting in a line of people that were most likely too old to not know what they need help on was something that could have been done ONLINE. Only thing you should be going in person for at this location is to return either the router/modem, dispute a bill, or pick up a modem/router, that's the only thing that is valid to go in person for, everything else can be done online or over the phone. I only went to scoop the modem I needed. The best thing to do also is to just buy your own router which saves you money, preferably NETGEAR, also if you do this, make sure you call and ask if your router is compatible with the spectrum modem. Came In just to return a cable box that I wasn't using any more and it took way longer than expected. With only two or three people In front of me it took longer than 40 mins. They had more than 6 employee's but only 2 were helping people. My experience is horrible don't plan on getting anything done in a timely manner. read more

I went in yesterday to return 3 cable boxes because I was told over the phone to do so. Jose opened the door for me and guided me to his station. When I told him I wanted to return the boxes. He said I wasn't authorized on the account. I tried to show him that I was and that I had already arranged it prior to coming in. He told me to go outside to clear that up. I said you can check and he said "no take the boxes outside and make your phone call, I need to help other customers" there were no other customers there. I asked him if I can leave the boxes there because they were heavy, he said no. I asked him for his name and told him I'm canceling the cable completely, he said "go ahead but go outside to do it.
