We had an outage about 7 weeks ago. Since that time we have experienced constant up and down with…read moreservice. And when I say constant, I mean it changes every few minutes. I'm working at home due to Covid and can't afford this grief. I've spent numerous hours in the queue, waiting to speak to a CSR, and they make you run through the same process. Technicians have been out numerous times to only put a band-aid on the problem, then when they leave, back to the same problem. It's not just me, all our neighbors are experiencing the same problem. We are told that the station we are all connected to needs to be replaced with more updated equipment, but CenturyLink won't spend the money, they won't do what it takes to keep us up and running. How can they charge for a service that doesn't work??? I've started making complaints to other entities. Hoping someone will help us. If you can avoid going to CenturyLink for your internet service, please do. Save yourself the grief! I've read many Facebook comments and other reviews, and it seems to be the same story everywhere.

It's amazing what a few incidents of bad service can do to a guy's perception of the business. My hardware firewall, which sits behind their modem, is reporting up to 96.2% packet loss, with high latency. I submitted a service ticket 6 days ago and haven't received a reply, so I called them today. Rarely do I have issues, but the few times I have called in, their service has been amazing! That changed today when I spoke to Sarah, who was very dry and kept me waiting long periods between questions, such as "Can I get your phone number?" I mean, she would ask questions to which I would answer, and she just sat there silent. I asked her a few times if she was still there because she was in her own world. I gave details on packet loss, setup, etc., but she kept getting it wrong, and I had to explain again. I was just hoping that she could do a connection test from them to the modem. Then she was asking me about my router, but I kept telling her the problem is way before the router because of the way my system is set up: Modem-Hardware Firewall (in DHCP mode), then the router in bridge mode for wireless devices. Mostly silent, she still didn't seem to get it or be willing to do a connection test. What bothered me most was that she kept interrupting me until I got frustrated enough to tell her I would call back later. She was very dry, robotic, and terrible with the long pauses. As I said, GF has been phenomenal over the years, but between no response to my ticket, her unwillingness to respond without sitting there silently, and their new "AI Assistant" on the main line, really gave me a bad impression today. If I had been a new customer and had this experience with her, I would have kept my old service. I am thinking that if I call back in and hope for someone else to answer, I may be able to get some help.

We had a really nice technician come to our home and fix the old refurbished box of equipment that they use. We pay full price and we get used/refurbished equipment. The DVR is out of sinc for the show times that are on the channels. They don't want to fix this issue for whatever reason. Why can't they get the shows sinced up to work with the recording of the the DVR?????? Spectrum get your SH*T together and FIX THIS ISSUE.....Sick of paying for a SH*TTY service.

The installation was very professional; they had to run some new lines through my garage, but everything they ran was tied up and tucked away neatly. I had the Genie DVR installed, and Dan (owner) sat down with my wife for about 10 minutes explaining all of the features of the remote, DVR service, and DirecTV offerings. All-in-all, it was the best installation experience I've had from any provider. The DirecTV service itself is working great right now as well.
