I shoot everything from movie sets and red-carpet events to other professional photography jobs, so when my equipment goes down, I need someone I can trust. I brought Joseph two Canon R6 camera bodies, one that I normally use with my 24-70mm and the other with my 70-200mm. Both cameras had loose hot shoe mounts, which was causing my flashes to lose connection. I was having to physically hold the flash down just to get it to fire. As you can imagine, trying to hold a flash down while zooming, shooting, and working a live event made my job extremely difficult, and I was getting dark images whenever the flash lost connection. I found Joseph through Google, explained my situation, and told him how important these cameras are to my business and that I needed them back ASAP. Joseph came through big time. He took care of BOTH cameras and had them fixed within a matter of hours, the SAME DAY. Beyond the repair itself, what stood out to me was how Joseph treated me. He was professional, respectful, kind, and genuinely seemed to understand how important my equipment was to me. That kind of customer service is hard to find. I texted him informing him it still wasn't holding charge and he offered to take the device for a few days, but by then I no longer felt comfortable handing it over, as if all felt shady. I came to this store for the first time mid-July last month to get my phone port a clean-up, and…read morethey did a good job for $35. However, I had a bad first experience. The first issue I got two different pieces of information regarding the process, with the employee saying they could clean it up in 5 minutes and the manager himself saying it'd take 40 minutes. The second and main issue was that store owner wouldn't release my phone back to me because I didn't have enough money in my card to pay (forgot to deposit some extra cash prior), to which I'll fully say now that I take accountability for not being properly prepared prior. Yet, what made me most livid was the managers extreme hostility and unwillingness to negotiate or allow me to stay in the corner of the store so I could transfer money into my account to pay. He said he'd keep it (for however long though never specified) until I paid that amount in card or brought back $30 cash (his generous offer), to which I had to magically scrape up due to being unable to contact anyone for a loan. At the end of it all, it was THEN that he explained to me that many customers in the past had claimed to briefly "check" their phones for something before paying only to bolt out of the store, to which the manager would have to ultimately pay out of HIS pocket to replace the lost money, despite there being security cameras catching the thieves faces. I just wanted to leave but not without apologizing for my foolishness. All this to say, looking back, I was an idiot 100% and lacked common sense and competence in this situation with no room for empathy or excuses.
