Can we talk about Customer Service here. Speedcraft VW has the absolute BEST CUSTOMER Service of any car dealership I have ever been to! Susan Lemoi was a delight and she took extra special care of us during a very frustrating car breakdown. We were on our way for a nice dinner in Narragansett when we just got off the Jamestown bridge. Our Volkswagen, Passat started chugging and the ESP light went on. We had to quickly pull over and find the nearest Volkswagen dealership. We called Speedcraft Volkswagen and they could not have been more helpful and nice on the phone. it was was around 4 o'clock and she said bring the car right in and we'll find out what's wrong with it. We made our way to the car dealership and I was getting more frustrated and stressed as the minutes passed because the car was in such rough shape. It is only a 2019 Passat, so I wondered what the heck could be wrong with it. We were whisked in and treated wonderfully by Susan and the other woman behind the desk (who's name escapes me, but she was super nice and friendly too, sorry I don't remember the name) We are only in the waiting room for a brief time when she came out and told us exactly what was wrong with it, most of it was under warranty and had a loaner car ready for us. Oh, and I had a lovely conversation with who I assume is the general manager or one of the managers there, John Deloitte, while we are waiting . ("Nice watch!"). We've lived in seven different states since moving back here to Rhode Island been into many car dealerships with our various cars. I am in the service industry, myself and in a time when customer service seems to be on the decline, it certainly is not here at this dealership. I was contemplating changing from a Mini Cooper clubman to a VW when I called Speedcraft to inquire about their cars. I had only been up to the vw site once and noticed this egolf. When I asked speedcraft if they had one and learned they did from salesman Craig Newton, I thought if I had time I would drop in to see it. From the time I stepped into their showroom Craig and the sales team were very helpful, not pushy. I knew i was looking for a four door and the thought of saving on gas intrigued me! When I saw and drove the car I was immediately impressed with how smooth the car was on bumpy roads as well as how the car drove. Through several test drives and much contemplation on if this was right for me, Craig maintained an easy going attitude and helped to trouble shoot my questions. Buying an all electric vehicle is quite a big adjustment in thinking how this will all work. Is this right for me? Will I get stuck somewhere? Craig and the rest of the Speedcraft team were helpful with guiding me to the correct people in order to get a charging unit installed in my garage as well as understanding the public charging stations. I found the car I wanted online. Compared a few dealerships offers. Speedcraft had the best offer. I met with Craig Newton on a Sunday, test drove the vehicle and discussed the options available. I was not able to close the deal because I was planning to be out of town for a few weeks, but I left a deposit and returned on the agreed date. Craig had everything ready. I asked for an exterior protection package when I picked it up and in consideration of my distance from the dealership ( I live about 45 miles from the dealership), they accommodated me on the spot, to avoid a return trip. Every single aspect of the transaction was professional, courteous and was executed in a manner that we all wish could be the norm. Speedcraft has either brought back or never let go of "old school" way of doing business. This is my first transaction with Craig Newton and Speedcraft but they've both earned my highest respect and would recommend them to family and friends alike, without hesitation. I originally went to Speedcraft Volkswagen today to have my Jetta checked, and I ended up getting a new car. I must say that I had the most satisfying experience there. Their service is absolutely top-notch, and people there were all incredibly competent, helpful, and pleasant. My sales person was Carrie Andrade. She was the BEST sales person I have encountered in my life! She was perfect and flawless in every respect I can imagine, although I have a very high standard for sales persons because of my Japanese background. To me, Carrie represents what a car sales person is supposed to be. I will definitely keep going back to her for the future! Also, just about everybody I met there was totally wonderful. This place is wonderful! I am a very picky buyer who does a lot of research before buying a car, so I don't just blindly walk into any dealership. That being said, this is the second time I have purchased a new Volkswagen here and once again, I was completely delighted. Now I know what you're thinking: "Delighted" and "car sales" stereotypically don't go together, but they do here! Carrie Andrade is awesome! Richard Carr was also extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Everyone at the service department is also very friendly. What I love most about this dealership is its size. I am not a number or a "spiff" to them. The General Manager even took a personal interest in my experience and made sure that I was 100% satisfied. In September, 2014, I was thrilled to be trading in my beloved, yet decade old, Volvo wagon for a 2015 VW Golf. It was beautiful. One and a half months later I was in a car crash that totalled it. Our Jetta malfunction indicator light came on during a 300+ mile drive from Vermont to Rhode Island two days ago. The Service Department at Speed Craft VW was able to schedule diagnosis and repair one day after I called. The service advisor was courteous and the car was ready to pick up after just two hours. When we picked it up, the exterior had been washed and the interior had been cleaned and vacuumed. The charges were very fair for the diagnosis and labor. The car runs perfectly and we are fortunate to have had Speed Craft solve our problem so that we can drive back to Vermont without worry. read more
