Where can I start. First of all, you have to ask yourself when you consider choosing a shuttle service over taxi, Uber or rental car, what makes you think taking a shuttle would be your best option. I believe the reasons can be safety, convenience and time. I am sorry, SpeediShuttle has failed at everything. Safety - i know about cars, the condition of the shuttle isn't safe to operate in my opinion. They need a major maintenance with checking the condition of the vehicle especially on the safety related areas. The shuttle is old but still drivable which is ok but taking a lot of passengers in this condition makes me wonder if the company is playing the gamble on people's lives. The shuttle that took us from the airport to the hotel, has 2 broken seat belts in the back, the rear suspension sounds it really needs to be replaced. There was no shock absorber at all. If you are sensitive about cars and know what they do, you know what I'm talking about. The suspension doesn't only do shock absorbing, it performs to when the car needs to stop suddenly. And the 2nd shuttle from the hotel back to the airport, some moldy water was leaking from the ceiling, the driver kept saying it's the AC but no, it drenched over my 2yrs son. It rained the night before our departure, this means there is a hole on the ceiling. We had to hold a hat over my son's head the whole time. The ceiling had many wet/moldy spots. It looked it had been leaked over a few seasons. The door didn't completely shut. So driver had to get out of the vehicle in the middle of the traffic. Seemed the something about the door isn't properly fixed after some accidents. Convenience- To be honest the convenience part was good until they overbooked the passengers, we stopped at the other hotel to pick up more passengers, and i saw 7 empty seats left, i saw 11 people were waiting to get on the shuttle, they were non-english speaking Japanese tourists with 3 babies. I don't know if the company made a mistake to count the numbers, or the tourists didn't put the number of the babies but it was surely bad idea, the driver didn't even bother to judge, all the passengers got on the shuttle and had their babies/toddlers sitting on their laps. I had to get out of the van to move and I eventually had to sit in the front passenger seat. Time - This isn't really about speediShuttle but the traffic condition in Hawaii can be very tricky. If there's an accident on the main freeway, the whole freeway shuts down. The driver on the way to the airport refused to take the side streets but I had to show the driver my flight time and the ETA that showed up on my Waze app to convince the driver to take the side streets. I've been to Hawaii 5 times so far and i've been taking SpeediShuttle at least 3 trips out of 5. But the company isn't the same as the first time. I will not take SpeediShuttle anymore. The evening before the pick-up, I called to confirm and they advised me that they aren't picking us up because they were adding MORE to the Groupon price. They basically held me hostage and said if I didn't pay $xxx more, they wouldn't pick me up. I called Groupon who said it was a non-refundable Groupon and refunded me Groupon bucks but these losers got paid $40+ for never picking us up. If I could leave one star, I would. We have used speedishuttle four times in the past, and our last experience was just awful. When we arrived at OGG airport, we had to wait over an hour for our shuttle. I understand that with Covid things are a little difficult. But after an extremely long day of traveling, waiting over an hour with a toddler was tough. We booked a round-trip shuttle with them, and on the day of our departure, we were downstairs at the exact time we needed to be. We waited for over 45 minutes and the shuttle did not show up. We were on hold for over 20 minutes, and when we finally got a hold of someone, they said that the shuttle was there early and left. No phone call, no nothing. So we scrambled to find a cab that cost over $100 on top of what we paid speedishuttle, To get us to the airport. We made it on our flight five minutes before they closed the door. It was an absolute nightmare. On top of that I have reached out to speedishuttle now four times and have yet to hear from anyone. It is so unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous that I have not heard from someone. I will be filing a report with the BBB, and I will take legal action if I need to. If you can, avoid using the shuttle company. Not the way I wanted to end my trip. read more

This company has no integrity, nor honor. I booked and paid for a ride for my mother from a hotel in Honolulu to the Airport. I created the booking correctly, asking for a pick up time of 8:00 pm; they somehow made a mistake and changed it to 8:00 am. When I asked for them to correct it, including a screenshot of the confirmation email with the correct times. They refused; and in fact stated that their dispatcher referred the correct morning time. They refused to correct the matter. I have since requested a refund, in which they have not responded. Do not use this service, they steal your money and take no responsibility for their mistakes. Nice quick ride to waikiki beach with A/C blowing and nice conversation about good local activities and info on the culture. On the ride back to the airport the driver was even a little early. Deserves 0 stars!! Our driver arrived and transported a van full of customers to 3 different locations along the way to my resort in Kauai. The other two parties were dropped off at their respective locations and then my wife and I were taken almost all the way to the resort (1 mile short) when we hit traffic. After less than 10 minutes in traffic the driver started panicking stating she wouldn't be able to make it to her other pickups at the airport and she began stating factually on numerous occasions that there was a " fatal accident" which was causing the traffic and would make it impossible to reach our destination. She also stated on numerous occasions that the "road was closed for 24 hours" and even told other drivers she encountered the same information. There was no confirmation of any accident other than seeing an ambulance pass by at one point. The driver proceeded to call dispatch where she told them of the "fatal accident and road closure" and received instructions to turn around and return my wife and I to the airport or to another hotel, then she recommended we book reservations while enroute or find an Air BnB that we could stay at. I asked if they would take us to the resort once the road cleared and she said they were booked for the next month. She recommended we take a taxi or Uber. I asked if we were close enough to walk the rest of the way and she said that we were "2 to 5 miles away" and that it was "too hot and too far to walk". At that point she turned around and began heading the opposite direction. My wife and I were in absolute shock and with no knowledge of the island or other choice in the matter, we were heading back to the airport with no idea where we were going to stay, no idea if we would lose our reservations at the resort, and no idea how we were going to reach our destination. The driver then told us that the airport would not allow us to re-enter but we could wait outside and "use the vending machines" if we needed food. At that point we decided that it would be better to be taken to a hotel where we would wait to see if the highway "re-opened". We looked up rooms and found that they were quite expensive so we decided that we should follow the driver's advice and book a room so that we were not left without accommodations for the evening as we were under the impression that there was no way to reach our resort until the "accident" was cleared. We paid $251.61 for a one night stay and additional $25 resort fee at a hotel. Once in the room, we researched the status of the roads and noticed that they were completely clear of traffic. The next morning, we checked out early and caught an Uber which cost us an additional $54.69. While on the way and telling the Uber driver of our experiences the day before, he immediately guessed that we were using SpeediShuttle and said he's heard bad things about them. He became incensed at hearing the actions of the driver and insisted repeatedly that she did not act appropriately and was lying since there is always traffic at that area near our resort during that time of the day. He continued by adding that those intending to go to the resort area simply drive on the side of the road once they hit the traffic so that they can make the right turn up ahead which I measured at a 1/2 mile from the area where our SpeediShuttle driver made a U-turn the previous day. I spoke to a customer service representative who said the driver's actions were not representative of the "Aloha spirit" and agreed that the driver treated us in a way that was not acceptable on any level. She also recommended that we e-mail customer relations however they have ignored the detailed e-mail I sent them over a week ago. I did get a refund on my pre-paid shuttle trip since I didn't get shuttled anywhere and asked customer relations to cover the cost of my additional hotel stay and Uber trip but of course I have not heard a thing at this point. DO NOT IGNORE THE 1-STAR REVIEWS! THERE ARE TONS OF THEM FOR A REASON!!! It might work out for you but no business should have a rating this low and still find people willing to risk it. Arrived at Honolulu Airport for the weekend. Kiosk had over 5 people standing around. They kept talking for a while before giving us attention when no one else was around. We paid for round trip tickets to be picked up at the end of the weekend. They told us we would be leaving in 10-15 minutes even though they had so many drivers standing around doing nothing. The driver was nice but dropped us off at the wrong hotel. We didn't realize because there was no sign. We had to walk two blocks to our hotel. On Sunday, I called two cancel because we ended up getting a ride with a friend back to the airport. Waited 10 minutes, no answer so left a message. Shuttle driver called a couple hours before pick up to confirm. I told him I already called to cancel. He said, no problem, they'll refund you. Over 1.5 month later, multiple phone calls and reassurance from their telephone rep Malia, that a manager would call me within two days.... Still no call, no refund. Update: It took a Yelp review to finally get any response from the management regarding my refund. This was a long time ago but I'm just getting to updating my review. When management finally contacted me they were apologetic and responsive but it shouldn't take a Yelp review to get to that point. read more

We arranged for a private Speedishuttle pick-up at the airport since our youngest son has autism and having a private transportation helped lessen sensory overload. Our airport pick-up shuttle driver was Marilou (Malou) who was very friendly, entertaining and accommodating to our family. She pointed out famous spots along the way to keep us entertained. She has such a great personality! We actually requested for her on our airport drop off but she was off that day. Our airport drop-off shuttle driver was Allan. He was also very good! He is knowledgeable about Oahu and asked us how our trip went and what places we visited. He gave us tips for our next Hawaii vacation, too. We arrived at OGG at 10pm, shuttle was scheduled at 10:35pm. There was no one at their kiosk at the airport. Their phone doesn't answer. Driver arrived 25 minutes late, at 11pm. After arriving, he ignored us and went to talk to another driver. Then he told us that he was working for 14 hours today, so "call 911 if I fall asleep". Driving was really bad. Luckily we arrived safe but really stressed. We shared the shuttle with a young couple, they also told that the trip was really scary, when we arrived. They were absolutely great! They showed so much aloha spirit! I know Kapaa traffic is horrendous. Our pick up time was around 11:30am and I started to get a little worried when the shuttle did not show up around that time. I called the service line and they were very transparent and friendly. Despite the situation, they did indicate that they had moved us to go on another shuttle since the one we were originally suppose to be on was expecting a larger party. It was a happy coincidence that the larger party sent half of their group on a taxi. This freed up space. Our driver, Myrna, was incredibly friendly and positive. Despite the delay, she maneuvered the traffic, kept an upbeat attitude, and got all of us to the airport on time. I would recommend to anyone visiting the island. If you're looking for an economical way to get between the airport and your hotel, the SpeediShuttle is a good value. For about $27 round-trip, the shuttle will drop you off and pick you up at the door of your hotel. Upon arriving on Oahu, you'll spot a few people in Aloha shirts in the baggage claim area and they'll make the arrangements for you for the shuttle. They will then direct you to the far end of the baggage claim and tell you that the shuttle is waiting outside. Indeed, a 12-passenger van was outside when we arrived but the organization regarding which shuttle we should get on needed some refinement; It wasn't too "speedi". The staff were laughing and joking around with each other, which was a little frustrating for us as we weren't sure if they were checking to see which shuttle we could take or if we were just waiting for them to finish their conversations. But, once they got us on the next departing shuttle, it filled up quickly and we were off to Waikiki.The shuttle was prompt on the day of our departure and the driver got us to the airport expeditiously. Very friendly greeting. Since we arrived and all the car rentals were closed, they were very helpful in booking us departure and pick up. There was a small hiccup when grouping people to drop off at hotels as we waited 30-40 minutes after we paid for our ticket at the airport and watched others go before us. Oh yeah, another huge tip to avoid our other hiccup: Be careful if you are staying at an Aston Waikiki hotel. There's Beach, Beachside, and Tower at the end of the name of the hotel that can be quite confusing. We got dropped off at Beachside by accident, but were able to call and make sure to have the correct location at the end of the trip. We stayed at Aston Waikiki Beach. Even though there was a small hiccup at the beginning, I would still recommend Speedo shuttle as they send email confirmation and also provide printout of receipt. Very organized! I recently had to help a guest at the hotel I work at because his Speedi Shuttle had not arrived at 5:15am like his confirmation said. He said he had beed calling the number listed on the confirmation but to no avail. The message always said "Operators are all busy, please hold..." So, I called. Same message and then for the next 45 minutes...nothing (Im still on hold). Not even a recording to say thank you for holding. Also, there was an option to leave a message. I can tell you that it is now 6:40am and still no one has returned my call or answered the phone that Im on hold for. We used SpeediShuttle in Oahu to get to our hotel in Waikiki from the airport and then back to airport at the end of trip. Within the time that I booked the shuttle and our flight, my flight time got changed. I emailed them, and Mandy got back to me very quick and changed our pick up times right away to the new flight times. I even emailed again to have them changed our pickup time to the airport to an earlier time to make sure when had enough time to get through security and they granted my request. When we arrived they were waiting in baggage claim, easy to find and directed us outside to the shuttle. We did have to wait a little while for other passengers to arrive and our hotel ended up being the last drop off so it did take some time to actually get to the hotel. For our shuttle back to the airport, I got an confirmation email and phone call the day before. Definitely never again. Very disorganized and there was a real break down with communication as far as checking in, where to wait, and customer service in general. Not a good experience. I get off the plane and head to baggage claim to get my luggage. I assume I wait curbside where all the other shuttles are waiting for passengers. I call Speedi Shuttle because I don't see a shuttle. They tell me to go wait at the white umbrellas. After locating the white umbrellas I Find another family waiting for a Speedi ride. I call Speedi again and ask where the shuttles are and she then tells me I need to go back inside and check in. Why the hell did she not say that in the first place?????? I then check in. No directions were given on where to wait or what to do next so I wait outside. Big mistake again. They apparently call your name to they can assign you a shuttle. I find that out while I was standing outside trying to board a shuttle. I finally go back inside with my fiancé and three bags and finally get it right. I don't get why they don't give you complete information via email especially when you prepaid. I don't get why they don't give you complete instructions when you check in and you are there face to face. I don't get why institutions weren't posted anywhere. This type of bullshit leads to disorganization and confusion. I'm finally sitting in the shuttle with other passengers. Before we leave the parking lot the driver locks himself in the back compartment of the car and the fiancé has to let him out. Definitely another bad sign. Yelp Challenge 365 # 131/365 Speedi Shuttle is a company you should have in your speed dial when you travel. I tried them for the first time on my recent journey and boy! was it Honolulu's answer to "door to door transportation". I recommend you make reservations (valuable on your return) so you won't have to wait. The confirmations get the first bus and the stand bys or late comers have to wait for the next bus. They are located outside Baggage Claim C (Interisland Terminal). They have staff members walking through the terminals directing foot traffic to the pick up location. The dispatch office will take a credit card when they make your reservation; they discourage cash payments (unless its for gratuity to the drivers). I guess they are new to the business a working system for payments (including cash) is not set in stone. The pick up going to the airport is efficient as well. Oh, you may want to get the dispatch office if the pricing doesn't seem right. There are kinks they need to work out as for example: it is $12.00 one way to get picked up in Kalihi and go to the airport. Yet, its $25.00 one way to get picked up in Kapalama and go to the airport. Didn't seem right as Kapalama is closer to the airport than some areas in Kalihi. I questioned it and the dispatch officer gave me the Kalihi fare of $12.00. The drivers (round trip) were excellent. I got a little tour after returning to Honolulu on they way to my office. I thought that was cute and nice; pleasant for those, visitors to our islands to know these things. The best part? You ride in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter.... airconditioned, spacious and clean! If you'd like to get from the airport to the Waikiki area, I recommend taking a taxi cab instead of SpeediShuttle, unless you are really strapped for money. The cost to take SpeediShuttlle is $14.55 per person. On my shuttle, there was only one other person riding with me. After waiting 15-20 minutes, we were on our way out of the airport area. Until, our driver got a call to return back to the pick up area because two more people needed pick up. Thats when we returned back to the pick up area, instead of leaving the airport, to pick up two more people. After we picked up two more people, we were again on our way to leave the airport when our driver got ANOTHER call to return back to the pick up area. I was getting tired of being driven around in circles around the airport. Again, we returned back to the pick up area for the SECOND time to pick up more people. And again, we left....and again the driver got a call to pick up more people. We did this a total of FOUR times. If you have no money, but plenty of time, and dont mind being driven around in circles at the airport to repeatedly have to wait for other people to ride in the shuttle with you, then definitely take Speedishuttle. Otherwise, I recommend taking a cab. Another issue with Speedishuttle is that their machines down work very well. They will charge your credit card but they won't be able to give you a receipt. Thats at least what I experienced. I had to specifically ask for the amount being charged to my card because I had no receipt for it. Thankfully, my friend took a cab to meet us and told us about her taxi cab driver. Her driver offered a ride between the airport and Waikiki for a flat rate of $28. I don't think the amount of passengers mattered. On our way back to the airport, we used this taxi driver and paid $28 ($34 w/tip) which came to approximately $17 per person. They were an hour late picking us up from the airport then when the driver picks us up he tells us how his hours was cut and how sometimes he only makes 3 trips to the airport and sits around the rest of the time (umm so why were you late ). Lastly, when it's time for us to return to the airport they are late picking us up and then when I call they tell me I have to walk a country mile to the other side of the hotel for pick up. I had 6 bags between my husband and myself and I wasn't walking with them across the hotel. Mind you they dropped me off in front of the hotel. I had a great experience and it was my first time taking the shuttle from the airport. After arriving and heading over to baggage claim, I quickly spotted the shuttle bus desk to book my ride into Waikiki. No lines and no hassle. Originally the lady at the counter said my ride would come in about 25 minutes. Not a problem and I was willing to wait. But to my surprise, the driver returned earlier than expected and it was not not even 5 minutes of waiting for my shuttle to arrive. What timing! Get an Uber. It's much more convenient. They switched my pickup time to earlier the day before departure and I didn't notice until the morning of when checking my emails. I called to cancel and get a refund but I was 50 minutes past the cancelation time. They were rude and said too bad. They also lied and said they say in the confirmation email that they can change the time. That is a lie! No where in the email does it say that. Do not take this shuttle if a couple or small family. Speedi- Shuttle service is spot on. They are very affordable and the service is always on time picking me up and dropping me back off home. I took the Speedi Shuttle round trip to Wakakiki. I did not make a reservation in advance. There were Speedi Shuttle representatives available at the airport to hep sign you up for a shuttle. They take cash and credit card. Price: $14.55 one way, $26.79 round trip. The price is better than a taxi. It cost between $45 to $60 to Wakiki. However, it was more expensive than some of the other competitors. I found some shuttles charge $7 but they were not at the airport when we arrived. Also, if you do no have too much luggage, you at take thebus for $2.50. Transportation to airport: The transportation to the airport was okay. The bus driver was nice and gave us a tour of the city as he drove along Wakiki. He made stops at different hotels in the Wakikki area. Pick to from hotel: The pick-up to the airport was awful. Speedi Shuttle forgot to pick us up. I called the information desk and they said they only make reservations but could not help us find a shuttle. Two Speedi shuttles drove by our hotel even though I was waving at them up and down. I finally jumped in front of Speedi Shuttle and asked for the person's help. She was nice and contacted the head office. Overall they were 30 minutes late. The driver claim he was busy. I do not buy it. I made a reservation 7 days ago and Speedi should have planned for the pick up or let me know. I should not be jumping in front of a Speedi Shuttle to ask someone to pick me up. It was a good thing I made my reservation 3 hours before my flight. Otherwise I would be late. Space: The shuttle is a van and roomy. Overall: I would take the Speedi Shuttle to hotel if you cannot find cheaper options but stay away from buy the round trip. From my experience, you can make a reservation but they do not have a system to track who to pick up. It is also very difficult to contact someone at Speedi. read more

Very poor experience with our pickup from our hotel to the airport. Shuttle driver did not check for us even though we were right in front of the bus and almost took off without us. We ordered and paid for 2 booster seats and a infant car seat, booster were not installed and there wasn't even a infant seat waiting for us to use. Had to sit my 8 month old In a toddler seat. When we mentioned to the driver that there wasn't a instant seat he just shook his head and said we would have to talk to a manager (there is not manager available anywhere even if we wanted). Sliding door on shuttle was out of order so we all had to slide in through the front passenger door which was difficult with 3 kids. Other people on shuttle sat in the first row so we had to jump over rows of people to get to our seats. Nobody communicated with us when the shuttle would pick us up. When we called to confirm they gave us a pick up time 1 hour before our flight would leave. Would expect a little better communication from a company that Disney recommends. read more

Went out on a whim and decided to use Speedi for both our hotel and return to airport trips. It's so conveniently located where Foreign Arrivals are, and with the stress of wanting to not be at an airport any longer, that got the best of us. Honestly, I have no complaints. We hardly had a wait time for the shuttle, and the driver got all of our bags in and out. We were dropped on the step of our hotel. And the morning of our departure, they came right on time for us.
