Seriously, Sam is the real deal! He went way above and beyond! Here's the deal. Several pool service/repair places told us we need a new heater. Which would be somewhere between $2500-$4000. We couldn't afford it so we just haven't been using the jacoozie. Well, I decided to ask the AH buzz group for referrals. Sam came over to assess the situation and only charged $100 to do that and then applied it to the repair. Not only did he repair the heater and make it work, he unwound 20 years of different pool service guys bad "repairs" and made it safe. So now it won't boil kids to death or start a fire. And now we can even use the latest technology app with the heater and use our phone to set it. Like he's so legit it's ridiculous. He is SO FAIR with his pricing and honesty. Sam is the best, hands down! He came out on short notice to inspect and figure out why our pool pump had no suction. At this point it was already down for nearly 3 weeks with no filtration, and already stumped a few other companies. The pool was already beyond gnarly, but thankfully Sam diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly and efficiently. Sam came for a filter cleaning. When he left he said the pump was working great. By the time my husband came home to check it in the evening, it was not working. We sent him a text that evening and he agreed to come back the next day, which he did and we appreciated, but he proceeded to charge us for the return visit saying it was a coincidence that it wasn't working that same afternoon after he left. He told me he'd send me to collections if I didn't pay so I am paying to make this go away, even though I 100% disagree and regret using this company. read more

We called Sam because our pool heater was not working. Sam came out and was able to diagnose and fix the problem fairly quickly. He seemed professional and knowledgeable about the repair. The only reason I decided to write this review is because the discrepancy between his cost and other comparisons was EGREGIOUS, and we felt completely taken advantage of. We were quite surprised when we received the invoice that we did some of our own research (ie. talked to other pool service providers and pool supply vendors). It turned out that Sam overcharged us by a lot! When we asked him about this cost, he mentioned that the vendor he uses charges more than other places and that the cost of materials had increased due to the pandemic. However, that didn't explain why the other providers and vendors we spoke to quoted much lower prices for the same parts. Lesson learned. We should have looked around a bit more, before going with "Speedy Sam." So, my advice would be that if you decide to work with Sam and cost is important to you .. just make sure you do your homework, so you don't get ripped off! UPDATE : This message is written in response to Sam's reply to my review .. Sam, we actually talked to several pool providers and vendors (not just internet research).. so we KNOW we got ripped off. You also quoted us $145 for monthly pool service.. the most expensive out of 5 different pool providers we called. My only hope in writing this review is that other people looking for a trustworthy and reasonable pool service provider, can see your TRUE character in your responses and make a better choice than we did. Don't even bother going to anyone else, this is your guy! The most honest vendor I've ever met. On more than one occasion he's saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs that other companies would've gladly taken from me. He's done this for me from the beginning of our relationship, not just once I became a long-term client. Great guy, responsive, and RESPONSIBLE. If there's a problem he sends someone over usually within 2 days. When you call him you deal with him directly, not someone who has no idea who you are. His techs are on time and diligent. What I appreciated was that Sammy did not push expensive parts or work. His recommendations appear to target just what was necessary to get my pool back in working order.
