We've made this same observation on the last several trips. The omelettes are HUGE!!! Made with five eggs each my wife and I split a Vegetarian Omelet with tomatoes, peppers, onions, spinach and mushrooms and added double cheddar cheese...! They also have fresh squeezed juice! Visiting Clearwater and found this gem when looking for a real breakfast. After a short walk down the main road found it near the bridge in a small strip mall next to Hogg Alley bar. We were immediately seated and greeted by our server, Gwen. We ordered from the massive menu and decided on the country fried steak and eggs and the one egg breakfast. My one egg breakfast came with potatoes, bacon (extra), fruit and toast. The country fried steak was a healthy portion. The portions are quite large. This restaurant has a full breakfast menu from crepes to waffles, pancakes, wraps plus the traditional eggs and upscale eggs Benedict. Lots of cocktails and very good coffee. They allowed us to linger with no pressure. Ask for Gwen if she's on dutr. They close at 3 but have many lunch selections as well. 5 stars for sure. read more

It's quite a large restaurant, I wasnt expecting that. It has indoor and outdoor seating. We wanted indoor. It's a little loud inside. There were 3 larger parties of 8 so that could be why but it seemed like the loudness was amplified. I was thankful we were sat in a far corner. The menu is enormous! So are the food portions! The crepes on the neighbors table looked like bundled baby! The Omelettes state they are "5 egg" omelettes! So prepare for leftovers or they also offer the option to SHARE a plate for $1. I ordered a Gluten Free Veggie Omelette and GF potatoes, no bread, and a spicy Bloody Mary, which came with a mini-snack of bacon, pickle, olive, celery and jalepenos. The Bloody Mary was good, but I'd bet my lunch money there wasnt a drop of vodka in it, which is fine really...it was only 12:30pm after all. It was a fun presentation, although a wilted celery was placed in mine and no celery in my husbands. Inconsistent and silly. Not a big deal, moving on. The Waitress was friendly and efficient, however I got the feeling she wasnt very educated on the necessity of ensuring my meal was GF. I definitely felt like I was taking a chance because she even asked me what kind of toast I wanted after telling her I had gluten allergy. That's when I asked her to please note on my ticket I am Gluten Intolerant, and sh just sort of laughed it off. So who knows. My Omelette was good--eggs, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes. I dont remember there being cheese, so I dont think so. The potatoes were good, not the best or the worst I ever had. But fine, and I did not get a gluten reaction. Nothing seemed to have a lot flavor, but it was a decent meal. ‍ The prices were fair and reasonable. Would I return? Yes, at some point I'd likely eat there again but there are several other places I'd try first. Our party of five went on Monday or Tuesday morning, and it was pretty busy. Service was prompt, but not super friendly...no one at the front counter seem to want to make eye contact, but once we were seated, our server was attentive. The menu was packed with options, I ordered the speggtacular special. I had two poached eggs, that looked and tasted more like soft boiled eggs; my home fries and my pancake were both very bland; the rye toast and bacon were okay. One of my friends ordered a larger stack of pancakes and they looked like they had been freshly made -and she said they were good- whereas those of us who had tiny ones, ours tasted like they'd been sitting around for a while. read more

Can't believe how lucky we were to find this righteous breakfast spot only a block away from our AirBnB. It's not much to look at from the outside - in fact we didn't even notice it on the first day, since it's tucked into a strip mall-like setting, with one low, generic building holding several different businesses and a big parking lot in front. Inside is fairly basic too, though they brightened it up with some bold colors and nice murals, so it is a pleasant enough spot to sit in. 'Spectacular' might be pushing it, but I'll give them points for a clever name, and the food was just dynamite: my Mediterranean Omelet brought a perfect mix of spinach, feta, tomatoes and onions, while my wife's classic dish had all the usual suspects cooked to perfection - a pancake, sausage, 2 eggs and toast. If you're a breakfast junky like me, this place will blow your mind: more than a dozen omelet options, Egg Benedicts galore, Belgian waffles, crepes, bowls, smoothies and ...you name it. The proximity to the beach and nearby hotels truly gives this place its charm. The staff was also kind. Additionally, the price for the food items are reasonable. On the other hand, our takeout order was wrong & the food had no flavor. It wasn't even worth photographing. Worst experience here. We have been here several times and the food was good. They are always crowded but now I feel like they are just trying to get the food out asap without caring. I ordered the Ruben and it came out cut in half and one side was already falling apart and no thousand island dressing or cheese. It was greasy bread with tough corned beef and a little sauerkraut. My husband's pineapple was hard as a rock. I know this is a breakfast place but it was lunchtime and I wanted something different. Coffee was good, but we had to ask several times for water. I told the waitress it was pretty bad and was also missing the dressing. She said she could have brought me some. Wasn't it was supposed to be on it? Luckily, she spoke to the manager and it was taken off our bill. Don't think we will be back again. Plenty of other breakfast spots in town. read more

I really don't like giving bad reviews, but our recent breakfast meal here (back in mid-November) was less than stellar. Our server was a hoot and very pleasant, but the food quality did not live up to expectations. My wife and I started out with a cup of coffee, which was super-strong but tasted decent. We placed our orders...I had the Florentine benedict and my wife the crepes with berries, bananas and french toast. Everything appeared to arrive hot and fresh, but issues abounded. The benedict itself was okay, but the potatoes were severely undercooked and the fruit slices on the plate were actually rotten, especially the pineapple. On the crepe plate, the crepe itself was hard and cracking, not soft and supple as they usually are. Also the dish was drowning in the confectioners custard that was drizzled on top, making for overly sugary bites that made it hard to taste anything else. Wish we had a better experience, but unfortunately this will be a one and done for us. read more

The mixed fruit crepe with English creme sauce is just magical. The fruit is all so fresh and delish. One small one on the side is plenty to take care of a sweet tooth. The ham pears and Brie crepe sounds amazing; but it's very basic. Had to spread the Brie around inside to make sure you get a little bit in every bite or else it was kinda dry. Would be amazing if this was more of a pear reduction with a melted Brie sauce, and cut up bits of ham rather than 3 big slices. But if you love Brie and pears, you will still love this. So, I took the fam to Clearwater to see the clear water, And ...well... we wanted to eat. So we go to Yelp, and this place comes up and we say ..ehhh. let's give it a try. We walked into the place and had to wait to be seated, we had to wait order drinks, and we had to wait to order food. Now I know what you're thinking: "You always have to wait to order, whose this moron" but this handsome intellectual melinated man would beg to differ, sir or madam! This wait was a "we only have 1 waitress serving the entire reateraunt" wait. Literally, this poor woman had to take the drink order, make them, serve them, take the food order, and were talking about tables full of people. ( Come on, florida. I know y'all slow, but this slow!!!) The drinks were mediocre at best. I ordered the cinnamon French toast coffee, and I didn't get any cinnamon, French, or toast in there! I could have made that coffee at home using my keriq machine. We actually had to send some drinks back. (I mean, how do you not even get a Sprite soda right ) I don't know who managed this place, but clearly, they need to sell this business! Or come in as an undercover boss and see why this yelp is being written. So let's do a quick recap so far: 4 chefs cooking the food 1 waitress serving the entire resteraunt Mediocre drinks (OH, the music was great, though, so half star for that. Now when the food did get there , it was good (with 4 chefs in the kitchen it really should be) but we dang near spent our whole vacation in this resteraunt waiting for our meals! Like we could have been at a theme park and got on the ride faster. I could have cut my hair that morning, and it would have regrown, I could have... well, you get the picture. I'm sure there has to be more to this story, but it's just never a good idea to have 6 ft plus black men waiting so long to eat... I'm over 6ft, yhe food already has to travel a long way down to reach that big belly. So hire more waitresses, get someone to make great drinks ( that I can't just whip up at home and call it something fancy and charge people for ..hint hint.). and then you won't have random, tall, handsome black men from California writing reviews like this about your establishment cappiecsh We did tip the waitress well, owner. Would love to order this again; next time, I'll order with the fresh fruit cup and not hash browns, since the fried onions provided enough oil for me. Ordered the Princess crepes. Love the sweet taste and texture of the crepe. Loved the bananas and strawberries but not the blueberries and raspberries. Next time will try a different topping. Not terrible but definitely one of the lesser meals we had on our trip to Clearwater. Overall they seemed understaffed, which, I can't necessarily fault them for but it did effect how long it took to get our food. The restaurant itself is dated but it does have a nice mural painted on the inside wall. Upon entering we were almost overwhelmed by the smell of bleach or some other cleaning chemical, which, I guess is nice but also not what you want to smell early in the morning when you are trying to eat. The menu was large but nothing really stood out to me. The other pictures on Yelp didn't even look that appetizing to be honest. Either way, we all ordered out food. Everybody in my party thought the food was ok, not bad but not great. They mixed up my brother's and my order but we had already waited too long and didn't want to send it back and wait longer. The food definitely needed salt or hot sauce. The griddled cinnamon roll honestly sucked. It was dry and crispy and had next to no cinnamon flavor at all. The waitress was hustling and acknowledged us as she was passing by w/ food, again another plus to their customer service. We were served our coffee quickly after placing the order and food came out t a reasonable time and was served hot. The food (egg plates) were tasty and prepared well.
