This is a lovely rooftop bar/restaurant. We're staying at the hotel, & it's so convenient to have breakfast or dinner here just by hopping on the elevator and going up. Last night, while waiting for our food order to be prepared, we enjoyed a cocktail while we watched the sun go down. I ordered the Lemon Drop cocktail on the recommendation of the waiter/maitre d. It was the best one I've ever had! Absolutely perfectly composed of its simple but delicious elements. I thought to myself, "The folks working at this restaurant really know what they're doing!" I went in to thank the bartender for such a perfect cocktail. As anticipated, we had a delicious dinner made from very fresh ingredients. I had a large Caesar salad that was dressed just right (few get Caesar salad right, not sure why). Then for my protein I ordered the mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce. I'm so glad I did! Both were so well made & yummy, again with the freshest of ingredients. The thick, chunky marinara was something special, again, the best I've ever had. The chef is on a roll! I want the recipe for that marinara! Who taught them how to do THAT??? Then this morning, I and my beautiful service dog went up to Spice & Sky for breakfast, again sitting outside but in the shade under the pergola because the sun was bright & a bit too hot for me. Lovely weather in Atlanta again! They offered a water bowl for my sweet dog. This hotel is very dog friendly, and lots of guests had dogs this week, probably people fleeing the wrath of Hurricane Milton from the West Central Coast of Florida. It's what brought us to Atlanta, too. I was lucky enough to meet the chef and later the executive chef this morning. Being a very social person, I very much enjoy meeting the people behind the delicious & healthful meals their customers get to enjoy. And as a degreed, licensed & board-certified practitioner of natural medicine (classical Daoist acupuncture & herbal medicine), I know how central good food is to human health & happiness. Feeding folks is sacred work; good food feeds people spiritually and emotionally/psychologically, not just physically. We'll definitely be back for more meals this week. We feel so well taken care of, which really helps us feel better while we're away from home due to challenging circumstances. I Love Spice & Sky! We live in the area and have been wanting to try the Spice & Sky restaurant so last night was our first time there. We met Jim, the executive chef, in the elevator on the way up. He encouraged us to have a good time and also said the menu was being updated soon. We were seated in a large outdoor area; beautiful views, minimal noise, nice breeze and comfortable. Our server was helpful and positive. Drinks were well done by Chris at the bar. Our food was well prepared, delicious and with good presentation. Chris brought one of the entrees which indicates a team approach to service. Every staff member we met seemed genuinely concerned about our experience. which was excellent. Breakfast was the same every morning. Buffet consisting of :scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bacon/cheese grits, cottage potatoes, Carmel French toast, oatmeal, assorted pastries, assorted cereals, mixed fruit & berries. $14.95 We ate it every morning and it was very good. We did not eat dinner here but did have great drinks and appetizers at the bar late night. The appetizers were more than enough to share with 2-3 people. The chicken quesadillas and lemon pepper wings were our favorite. A nice variety menu with burgers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Staff is 5 star. We stayed here at Courtyard and wanted to try the restaurant. They surpassed our expectations. I ordered the Thai Chicken and my husband had the Salmon. It was so delicious we had to call the chefs Rahman and James over and give them their kudos! We will definitely be back. Great food, drinks and ambience! read more

This is a hidden gem. My husband and I frequently come here to watch the sunset and have a drink on their beautiful deck. Deck has gorgeous view, high tops, a fire pit with sofas, heaters when it's cold...and just one TV that you can easily ignore if you want. We haven't eaten here, but they have a full bar and the wine and beer selection is adequate and prices are not insane. I image this place will take off once enough people find out about it. At the moment I would say food takes a back seat here unless your staying in the hotel. We frequently have the entire place to ourselves. read more

Doesn't get any worse than this. Hotel bar with a potentially cool view from an average vantage point. Sat at the bar and ordered drinks. Then ordered food. Twenty minutes later the bartender said that the kitchen was closed so they could not fulfill our food order. The manager who could barely bother to communicate with us mumbled something about us not getting food. Yep. We left and didn't even pay our tab for our half empty drinks as we ordered them with the expectation of getting food to enjoy with our drinks. Don't go support this place...even if you are staying at the hotel. So many great options in the area. If you want to eat at a bad Holiday Inn... best of luck. I live 2 minutes down the road and will only discourage locals from going. Waste of a potentially decent view. Piss poor management at best. read more

The new management has done such a great job. The rooms are very modern, clean, and updated. We went to the restaurant on our first night here and the food was AMAZING. Very well priced as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night at Spice & Sky. Sat outside on their spacious rooftop patio, enjoying a beautiful sunset. Started with a refreshing bottle of Whitehaven Sauv Blanc, perfection! Amanda and Mars took incredible care of us and ensured that we enjoyed ourselves. Started with the grilled shrimp on a bed of corn succotash - succulent; and roasted Brussels sprouts - super tasty! We split a Greek salad, with fabulous freshly made Greek dressing - highly recommend. For our entree, we split the Lemon Caper Salmon with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes (subbed out over the rice). The combo was delicious, healthy, and well rounded. To top it off, we shared the New York style cheesecake - didn't expect much, as it's such a standard dessert, but we were pleasantly surprised! The whipped cream was freshly made and was so so good... and with the cheesecake and strawberries - yum!! Such an enjoyable evening outside with great company, drink, food, service, and a stunning sunset. We stopped by for dinner after hitting the mall. We started off with a couple of drinks. I requested a rum runner and they didn't have all the ingredients to make it so the waitress, alysha made something for me which was even better!! Hubby had a specialize drink, dark and light he liked it as well. The menu is more towards Fusion/Indian style. I was told in May a new menu comes out. I love a restaurant which can change it up. We got food poisoning from this restaurant all 5 of my friends and myself. we were diagnosed by the hospital we were forced use our own insurance and pay out of pocket for meds over $280. We weren't offered anything but a refund for ONE NIGHT and not a refund for any of the food that made us sick. This was wed night its now Sunday and we are all still violently sick. IT TOOK 45 min to get food n it was just me n my wife and 2kids in there literally not even being funny

Service was awful. Waited 45 minutes to have our order even taken, then waited an hour for the appetizers to come out. They didn't bring us silver, didn't ask if we need more water. The food wasn't even how it was described on the menu, the shrimp was supposed to be 4 jumbo shrimp coated in a lemon aioli. It was just 6 tiny burnt shrimp. The "New York strip" was just a glorified pork steak, burnt and coated in some nasty bbq sauce. I've never been so frustrated at a food establishment. All the while the place is dead and it's the manager taking care of us and didn't apologize or seem to care at all. The only thing the place has going for it is a rooftop view but even that doesn't make up for how bad everything else was. read more

This is my first online restaurant review EVER as I normally don't have that bad of an experience to have to warn others. The only positive thing about this restaurant is the view and the kind server we had. Most of our food was inedible tonight. All overcooked or just plain bad. Kale salads included no kale etc. The list is too long to include. The server told us when we arrived at 7 pm they had run out of all entrees! So disappointing and just feel obligated to share our experience as I am still in shock how bad this restaurant actually was. I never leave reviews, good or bad. But I had to with this establishment. The view is beautiful but that was the best part of my experience. I showed up at 7:30pm to get food. We didnt receive any food until 8:45pm. The shrimp was burnt asf, I guarantee the Thai Chicken was a baked chicken with Thai sauce on top (sauce was the best part). Buffalo wings were good though. Also the water tasted funny and during my 2 hour ordeal, not ONCE was I asked if I'd like a refill. The management knew we were upset and not once did they apologize for our bad service, so that's why I decided to give them 1 star. read more

Come here for the view. Not to eat or drink or have any service. The "new" menu has no personality and reflects a bland hotel menu. The only Indian influence are the samosas on the appetizer list. The boring menu matches well with the food, which was unseasoned, cooked poorly and blah. The Brussels sprouts were boiled, not grilled as advertised on the menu. The rice bowl had undercooked rice, jarred red peppers and unseasoned vegetables (along with more boiled brussels). The flatbread gobs on cheese to cover up being barely cooked and having no flavor. Surprisingly the shrimp was good (earned an extra star) and appeared to be grilled proving they have one but don't appear to use it for anything else. The drinks are very strong, but just straight alcohol- no cocktail or flavor or attempt at mixology. Service is apathetic. They holler at you from sitting at a table to sit where you want, wander around with plates until they can pass them off (all at different times). Then stand directly over you as you sign bill to check tip (which was not earned). Leave the hotel and go somewhere else for decent food. read more

We stayed at Holiday Inn for 3 nights. This is an outstanding new hotel. This rooftop restaurant is average with a chance to be great. The environment, decor and overlook of the Atlanta skyline is next-level. The server was pulling double-duty as bartender so she wasn't very available to serve us. The mozzarella sticks came out very slow but were very good. The salmon entree was not very hot and bland. I'm from South Louisiana so it's hard to satisfy me with proper seasoning on fish dishes. The mashed potatoes were excellent and seasoned perfectly. My biggest complaint was the blaring pop music. This is a growing trend that I notice in restaurants but I'm going to keep gigging restaurants for this annoying trend. It's hard to have an intimate conversation with your spouse having to shout over the music. read more
