I have never in my life been to such a wonderful restaurant. The service I experienced here was truly above and beyond. My wife and I booked a reservation to have dinner here on our way to the Glass Animals concert. Upon arriving we proceeded to book ourselves an Uber to the venue only to find out that they required a printed negative COVID test to enter. We had no time to go home as our schedule was already extremely tight to make it to the concert. We either had to skip dinner to go home or figure out something else. Our waitress, Kat, talked to her boss, Joanne, and came back to me with her e-mail address. I emailed our documents to Joanne, she printed them out for us, and then proceeded to turn on the Glass Animals in the restaurant! She is a fellow fan and was so sweet about the entire ordeal. The food. WOW! We did a spread to share since we had not been here before. We did Crab Rangoon Dip, Bulgolgi Tacos, Bao Buns, and Pad Thai (mild). Every item was as good as or better than the previous. The Rangoon dip was incredible and the Bulgolgi Tacos were my absolute favorite. Their Pad Thai is authentic and flavorful with generous portions. My wife also ordered the Pink Sangria cocktails and loved them; very flavorful without being overpowering. I cannot say enough good things about the food or service we had here. Food is excellent, although prices have really gone up for portion size. We had a party of six and they had the nerve to assume a 20% tip based on total and tax and don't even label it on the bill as such and then leave a place for additional tip after the card is run. Make sure you read your bill carefully. I guess they assume the service is always awesome. 18% is typical, but 20? Let the customer decide regardless of the party size. Had the crispy duck, shrimp fried rice, sushi & chicken dumplings. I LOVE the chicken dumplings! That was the best part of the meal. The duck was pretty good as well but a bit dry (apparently they forgot to give me the sauce with it). The shrimp fried rice was also VERY GOOD my gf really enjoyed it. Only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was the service was just ok. Was up top on the rooftop and arrived 45 mins before closing so that could have been the reason but overall good experience and good food. read more

Appetizers and Lychee Martinis! I am by no means a martini fan but a friend suggested it and it went down so nice I did it twice!! They were really smooth and almost creamy in texture but just so darn good. We never made it to the mains because we overdid it on the appetizers - spicy tuna nachos and the pork bao buns being the show stoppers. This is a great spot in a newly developed area where there is love music and a lot happening - great spot for a casual catch up or a girls night! read more

Went here to celebrate my birthday back in July. It's located in an area with other nice restaurants and shopping spots. It was a cool spot to hang out and grab drinks. It's a two story restaurant with outside seating. The atmosphere was really fun and lively. For appetizers we ordered the crab Rangoon, KFC wings and pan seared scallops. The crab Rangoon here is above average. I liked it more than what you get at low end Asian restaurants or Chinese buffers. The chips it came with were crisp to my liking. The KFC, Korean Fried Chicken, wings were really good. There were pretty big in size and fried perfectly. The dipping sauce it came with was good too. I think I loved the cleverness of the name the most to be honest. Kudos to whoever came up with the change in the acronym lol. The pan dear scallops were okay. Wasn't too much flavor to it and seemed a bit bland. It came with three scallops on a bed of glass noodles I believe. This dish was my third favorite out of three. I was kind of disappointed bc I love scallops. We only ordered one main dish bc my gf was full after our apps so I ordered the short ribs and man was it fricken delicious! It was the best thing we got and I'm so glad I did. The meat was so tender and easily pulled off the bone. I highly recommend getting it if you go here. Hats off to our chef bc I was happy with it. I also ordered some fruity alcoholic drink but I can't remember what it was called but I've included a picture for reference. This spot is definitely a gem. My boyfriend and I were traveling from Charlotte to Augusta and were craving some good Thai eats and left Spice Asian Kitchen overly satisfied. We sat on the rooftop which I would highly recommend. The ambiance was perfect! For our appetizers we had chicken dumplings and the sushi with scallops on top. Both were 10/10! For my main entree I had the fried rice with shrimp which was delicious. Service was somewhat slow due to there only being one waitress at the time but she did a great job of handing the chaos. So happy to have some flavor in the Kingsley complex! I work in the area, so having Spice to add in the lunch rotation is definitely a bonus. Logistics: I walked over on my lunch but saw plenty of on street parking. Crowd: We came into a lite lunch crowd but that didn't last long. Staff: There were about 4 staff members at the hostess station when we walked in but perhaps because they were just opening. All very friendly! Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. I asked and appreciated her recommendations. My friend didn't enjoy the Pad Thai and our waitress handled the situation. The Eats: I ordered the KFC wings which were perfectly fried, crispy but still juicy. The sweet and spicy flavors were a refreshing pop to the tastebuds! I also ordered the dumplings, which weren't my favorite but weren't bad. Next up was the salmon taco, now notice I said TACO. It caught me a little off guard that it was only one singular taco. However, it was delicious and the $4 price tag should have been a clue there would be only one (but I hail from TX where a $1 taco isn't rare lol). To wash this all down I had their Berry Mint Soda. It was lacking a little something'something but the mint came across loud and clear. The end: Label me a repeat customer! I'm coming back for drinks for sure. I have eyed this place since it opened pre- COVID. I finally had an opportunity to go this past weekend and I was blown away! The atmosphere is fun and spacious. Our server was friendly and gave my friend and I great recommendations. We ordered the fresh rolls with shrimp, the bibimbap bowl, and the spice bowl, per her recommendations. I've been out of town for a few weeks and couldn't wait for this place to open. We had an Asian fusion restaurant in Wilmington, NC (Indochine) that I loved and was hoping this was going to be a close comparison. The exterior, decor and vibe are perfection. The architect/designer did an incredible job. The bar seats are also super comfy and that's not something you can say often. The staff is very laid back. Not in a hurry and not very many of them. I'm glad I went on Cinco de Mayo when everyone was grabbing Mexican instead. I started with the dumplings. They were ok. Lots of dumpling and a lot less filling. Thankfully I opted for the oil on side because she said it was spicy. Both of the sauces were super spicy. It would be nice to have one that wasn't as spicy. The dumplings could have been seared a little more too. For my entree I went with the Pad See Yew. It was ok, but not worth the $16 price tag. Flavor was a little on the sweeter side, which I'm not a fan of, and the chicken was used sparingly. I also had two glasses of Prosecco with my meal and, with tip, I was over $55 for just me. I expected an upper $30 price tag, but for over $50, I could have had a much better meal elsewhere. I'm sure the place will attract a decent crowd because of location, convenience and a different flavor in the Fort Mill area, but don't count on anything that will wow you. Wow! Kingsley needed this. Thai Asian fusion brings another element to this community that I'm sure is gonna be a winner. We were so excited they finally opened. We have had there Bimbimbap, szechuan dumplings, bulogli tacos, and red curry with chicken. Everything tasted awesome. Yes, we have been a half dozen times in the short time they have been open. They have craft beer on tap with local faves. Incorporating a happy hour will truly help with those getting off from work and wanting to chill a bit before heading home and picking up something different than pizza, burgers, or the standard American cuisine. Steve and Lei are the bomb and provide excellent service in the bar area. The owner is very active both behind the scenes and chatting with customers. Oh, they have take out too...just as tasty. Upstairs area is really gonna make this place stand above the rest for sure. They planned well. The views are wonderful adding to the experience. The food prices are just a tad on the high end compared to other restaurants in Kingsley. However, the food taste and quality is top notch along with the portion sizes AND you are getting something unique, so they definitely deliver. Very disappointed! We came for the beef ribs with our friends from out of town! We had been bragging about how delicious they were, fall off the bone tender!!! We were all ready to order and the waitress said they no longer offered it. It was heartbreaking. So, we ordered the lamb skewers. They were ridiculously spicy and you could not enjoy the flavor due to the intense spice. So now we will have to find another favorite restaurant. Her customer service was kind but she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing . The manager did explain she is new . My biggest gripe was our food took so long to come out. My colleague ordered the lunch Pad Thai and I ordered the Pad See Ew. Both were ok, there wasn't anything to brag about with these two dishes. The sauce was typical, however ; for $11 you expect more and an accompaniment of other ingredients in the dish . To wait 40 minutes for your lunch only to be greated by 95%noodles is a huge turnoff. On top of that we never got any water refills . With this being a new restaurant it would've been useful for the owner or management staff to walk around and greet the guest , maybe then the long waits for service and food could've been addressed proactively. The manager apologized and treated us to the meals , because on top of the long wait our tickets were miscalculated. I thought that was good service, but not enough to make me want to come back and try another dish. From what I viewed from the menu , the prices are too steep for the quantity and quality . I met with a friend for an early dinner on Monday evening at Spice! We had a very good experience. Leah was our waitress and she was excellent to connect with! We decided to do a tapas style dinner and tried many different items on the small plates menu. I tried all three tacos available on the small plates menu. If I needed to rank them, I would choose the beef first, the shrimp second, and the salmon third. We also tried muscles, the KFC chicken wings, and the scallops. Everything was tasty, but the grass noodles that came with the scallops was my favorite item of the meal! I had the Phucket cocktail and it was delicious! Asian fusion in Kingsley. Decided to pop in for dinner as this is really the only place I've not been to in Kingsley. As most places are in this area it's designed excellently and is very clean. We just wanted to share a few apps so we ordered the wings, tuna nachos, and the pork buns. Our server was very attentive and pleasant and the food came out lightning fast. Everything was quite good. We came here on a whim and have been dining out more frequently in the more relaxed atmosphere of South Carolina, while living in Charlotte which has been so hit and miss on whether they will serve you. We were told there was a 30 min. wait to eat inside but that seating was immediately available outside. They had large picnic tables with long movable benches. We were very hungry and got the fried chicken as an appetizer. We were not impressed at all and would not get it again. I went with the drunken noodles extra spicy and it was REALLY good. Would get this again. I also got the lychee martini. It was good and very strong. Yum ! My friend got the Tom Khah soup... it was just ok and the broth seemed watered down. Being an Asian restaurant we were surprised to see a wagu burger on the menu. My husband got that. It was soooooo good ! Seriously the best burger I've tasted in a while. It was very juicy and I think it was Swiss cheese. It had exceptional flavor. The fries were also excellent and crispy that came with it. We got the mocci balls for dessert. I liked them fine, but the others had never had them before and didn't like the texture. We had a nice view of the pond nearby and an overall pleasant evening. I've always loved any type of Asian food, so when I heard about Spice I was so excited to try it! Luckily, it didn't disappoint!! First off, you can make reservations which is a necessity in this area if you don't want to wait forever on a Saturday night. The restaurant is in a nice shopping/dining area called Kingsley, and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and modern. We always like to start dinner with cocktails, and they have a huge selection of whisky, which my husband was excited about. They even had a few types of Japanese whiskies which are really hard to find in stores. I tried the Breakfast At Tiffany's, which tasted like a vacation in a glass, and even the garnish was beautiful. We tried the Korean Kon-Chi and the pork belly Bao buns for appetizers. The Kon-Chi was good, but I expected it to be more of a warm dish since it had corn and cheese in a cast iron skillet, so it wasn't our favorite. The pork belly Bao buns were absolutely delicious! For dinner, my husband got the Bibimbap and I got the Waygu burger. The Bibimbap was so fresh and the flavors were amazing. My waygu burger was to die for! The burger was cooked perfectly, and the pickled onions and egg just put it over the top. The fries were really good too. On top of the food and atmosphere being great, the service was as well. The atmosphere of this place was pretty cute. The menu definitely speaks asian fusion vibes. They have small plates, drinks, main courses and dessert. For small plates I got the korean fried chicken wings, roti and bulgogi taco. We found hair in the chicken wings, so we had to send them back. They did give us a fresh batch of those and deducted the wings from our check. The manager did apologize. Aside from the hair, the wings were super crispy in the fresh batch. The roti was nothing special. The bulgogi taco was my favorite bite I would order 5 of those. My main meal I had a cold noodle dish with beef in it the beef was really tender. My partner had the pad thai it was pretty good. My chocolate cake dessert actually wasn't to bad. I personally would just go back for small plates & drinks if I were to go back.
