This is not Thai food! It is worst Thai food I ever had. Roti Cani was very bland and the vegetables were much past their prime. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and it was obviously made by a drunk cook. This kitchen obviously believe that putting watery soy sauce on everything will make the food Asian or Thai. Thankfully, the drinks were strong (better be at the high prices) enough to make the food bearable. Get people drunk so that they lose their judgement. I spent two months in Thailand and if the food was like this, I would have taken the first flight out. This place is an insult to Thai and Asian cuisine. SKIP IT! read more

Been meaning to try this restaurant for a while so yesterday stop by for dinner and it was awesome.The weather was ok yesterday so we decided to sit upstairs on the rooftop very nice view with a full service bar.Before we could halfway to our seats we were greeted by a young man by the name of Joseph and he took great care of us.He recommended some of the top entrees and made us some awesome drinks.We started with Bulgogi tacos trio, along with CrabRangoon dip awesome highly recommend.My wife ordered a drink called breakfast at Tiffany's and she loved it.Everything came out nice and hot.We will definitely make this our monthly dinner spot great location .Highly recommended read more

I am giving this Spice Asian Kitchen in Fort Mill, SC five stars because the staff was able to do something that NO restaurant has ever been able to do for my large extended family (on this particular night, 15 of us): they delivered everyone's dinner within a minute, hot and delicious and as ordered. The team included a few servers and a bartender who worked together to take care of us, and the service was EXCELLENT. Our group included a couple of small children, older people (who didn't hear or follow too well. Lol), people asking silly questions about food and others sometimes barking drink orders at the Spice crew, and they all took it in stride. One woman server in particular took time to chat with the kids and others in the group a little. Very sweet. Regarding the food...we were all quite pleased with the delicious, generous appetizers and entrees. I'm vegetarian, so I did not try everything, but the group gobbled up the potsticker dumplings and spicy tuna. I tried a summer roll. It was okay but it was made with mostly shredded iceberg lettuce. Not particularly exciting. Accompanying sauces were good. Several people at the table ordered bibimbap, which was served in hot stone bowls, making the well-coordinated delivery of food even more impressive. I opted for drunken noodles with tofu: a wonderful meal! Couldn't tell if the sauce was vegetarian...it was to die for! My noodle dish had lots of vegetables, but was tremendously satisfying comfort food at the same time. (I think I might be daydreaming a little bit about it right now...) We were celebrating my sister-in-law's 70th birthday, and her daughter made a beautiful cake. We have been wanting to try this place. Let me tell you.....the food did not disappoint. I got a $13 orange crush cocktail. Was it a little much? Probably! It was still good, but not omg I need another one good. I got the Kaw Pow. Absolutely fantastic! Minced chicken, mushroom, bell pepper, onion, Thai basil, carrots, fried egg, & served with steamed rice. Yes, I ate the entire thing. My husband got the Bulgolgi Burger. Never eaten here so I can't comment on the food but the service is terrible. I drive DoorDash and routinely pick up orders from Spice and it doesn't matter if it's packed on a Friday night or dead in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon (like today) I ALWAYS have to wait a minimum of 10 minutes for my order. My family and I went to Spice the other day and while the food was decent, there was a large disturbance between the staff that was very alarming while we were eating. The servers were yelling at the hostesses and the bartender and just being very rude overall creating a very hostile environment. I'm picky with my red curry and this place was just not it. Thai red curry is normally thick in the sauce but my food looked and tasted more like a soup. Although the ambiance was great, the food was subpar. The restaurant is not kid friendly, my nephews had buttery noodles and fried rice but they should really add items for the kids. I tasted a little bit of my sisters bulgogi and it was okay. The Thai iced tea was the highlight of my visit. I'm confused with the 5 star ratings but I'm assuming they were having an off day. The location was good, and I liked the atmosphere... could have been from hype but I didn't find anything to write home about for their food. Seemed like other than chili oil the food lacked flavor. We were also given a time for a wait, we got a message saying our table was ready within the stated time, but then had to actually still wait around the door for another 10-15 mins longer because a table was not actually ready. I'm assuming this was to make the quoted time on yelp when they really couldn't seat us yet - note that the yelp app said that we were no longer in line but the hostess said "oh yeah you are I've got you written here and will just come get you outside of the door when your table is ready." This place was amazing. We went for lunch and literally I can't speak enough about this place. The decor and atmosphere is perfect. It was a nice balance as you saw some people having business lunches as well as others just enjoying a nice afternoon out. I ordered the Phuket cocktail which was very nice and smooth. Not too strong or too sweet. As an appetizer we ordered the crab Rangoon dip. So yummy and creamy, I highly recommend if you are unsure of a starter. For entrees we had the Pad Thai and the Waygu burger. The pad Thai was tasty but I will warn you to go easy on the spice level. I ordered a 2 and it tasted more like a 3 1/2. If you are a spice lover like me stick to 2 if not no spice or level one would be your best choice. My husband enjoyed his burger. The fries were the perfect amount of crisp and they were hot and fresh. Overall I highly recommend and will be revisiting to try additional items on the menu. Also the staff was amazing. I took an eclectic approach to ordering here. I tried the crab Rangoon dip, a bulgogi taco and spice fried rice. All of the items were a little unique, which I like a lot. However, the spice fried rice came out dripping in oil, after I had requested very little oil when I ordered. Huge mistake and it was to the detriment of the dish. The bulgogi taco was excellent. So excited for this new(ish) spot! We love that they have so many options. Like Asian tapas! We love to taste lots of different things so we got a lot of stuff. Crab Rangoon dip was was great. Loved the scallop appetizer. The bulgogi taco was bomb, shrimp taco was good too but not quite as good as bulgogi. The duck bao bun was okay. Definitely not bad but probably wouldn't pick it again because other things are better. The drunken noodles with chicken were really tasty too. We didn't love the dumplings actually, that was the least impressive but otherwise, everything was great and we will def be frequenting this spot! Love the upstairs patio view. The Kung Pau cauliflower is out of this world delicious. We also had the scallops as an app and they were phenomenal. My child also gets them as her meal. My husband loved the poke bowl. I kept hearing how great Spice was so maybe that's why I wasn't super impressed. Maybe my expectations were too high. I don't know. Anyhow, overall I found everything to be just average. Remember, average is not bad. Average is just average. The service was average, the drinks average, and the food average. How many more times am I going to say average? Probably the average amount. I had a coconut margarita which is in fact served in an actual coconut. The drink tasted fine and was cute but probably way smaller that it should have been. The carved out space for the liquid wasn't very big. My husband tired the Phuket cocktail and it was also fine. We ordered the red curry and the bulgolgi and both were average (surprise!). Simply put, I like it here. In a world lacking of flavor, everything I had at Spice has been creative and full of amazing flavors. I have been 3 or 4 times along with my family and we are always trying to find the next time to go. I have had the bulgogi and the gochujang, and both have been flavorful, well balanced and outright delicious. My wife has had their salmon and my kid gets the pad thai. It's a little small inside but nicely decorated and the rooftop area is well done and meets all the needs of the people looking for trendy places to hang out. Great job, Spice. I have be n meaning to swing by Spice at Kingsley in Fort Mill, and the right opportunty popped up. Kingsley is a pretty trendy area in Fort Mill with a lot of cool places to eat and hang out. It's also a good place to just kind of walk around and check out the shops. But as usual I was ready for some good food. I met a friend of mine at the bar. It was a Monday night and there was plenty of seating available. There was not a huge crowd at the restaurant but it didn't feel empty and still had a nice and busy feeling atmosphere. We both had their house old Old Fashioned which is made with a Japanese Whiskey and was just right. Spice has a nice selection of small plates which I always like because it gives me the ability to try more things. We started with the Bao Buns....now they give you a choice of pork belly or crispy duck. I am sure the pork is delish......but it feels a bit like it would have only been a travesty to deny the duck. So yeah....we got the duck......and yeah we loved it. it was lightly coated with a Hoisin Sauce and a cucumber type salad. it was delicate, flavorful and had a lovely texture. it was a winner. Next we had the Sashimi Tuna Nachos. We loved this dish, the crispy wontons were just perfect, the Big Eye Tuna was beautiful and the spice mayo was just the right amount. We have all had Tuna Nachos and it's pretty hard not to love them, but this dish was one of the best I have had. We couldn't leave without trying the Crab Rangoon Dish. I loved how they served it with wanton chips and the dip on the side. It was a perfectly balanced dip, Often times Crab Rangoon is a little sweet for me. The dip here was very nicely balance with taste and texture. And lastly we had the Green Curry Mussels. So we were quite a bit disappointed when one of the waitresses came out with the dish and told us they were out of bread. So I had a beautiful plate of Mussels in front of me in a very delicate green curry and no bread to dip in to the curry. It was a bit of a conundrum. I called over my bartender Drew who had been awesome all night. He was not aware of the bread situation, but he understood, and went back in the kitchen and came out and said yep...no bread but suggested a bowl of white rice to go with it, which is certainly an acceptable accompaniment to the Curry and that pretty much saved the day. And yes like all of the Dishes at Spice it was great. The most memorable thing I can really say about the food here is how well balanced the dishes are. You experience all the flavors of each dish without being overwhelmed by any of them. So.......This is a 5 star worthy restaurant, I hate giving them a 4 and it's not because they were out of the bread......its only because the girl that brought us the Mussels just kind of put them down and said they were out of bread and walked on. She should have asked us if we still wanted the dish or suggested an alternative. Now I may be nitpicking a bit, but the service industry is a competitive one. Restaurant bars are a true refuge for me and I believe for many of us. So it is okay for us to have a high level of standards. And as such we should thank the people who take care of us when we are filling out the bottom line on our check. Many restaurant workers are still bouncing bank from COVID and I am forever thankful for those that have stuck it out. I want it to always feel like home when Im out to eat. And Spice and Drew really did that for me. Ill be going back soon.......and I have no doubt, I will be adding that 5th star. read more

The only thing that I would change about Spice is having a location near my house. Maybe this is a blessing. Gratefully, this location is close to work and my friend suggested it for lunch. I saying yesss, before she could finish because this place was on my wish list. The reviews had me curious but it was the green curry that was the most tempting. When I told my coworker where I was going, she said, ohhh their green curry is really good!! Will you bring me back the order of green curry with tofu? That did it. I knew exactly what I was going to order with one minor difference - green curry with chicken, not the tofu. Let me tell you that it did not disappoint. The plan was to save some for later but before I knew it the bowl was dry. The fortunate thing is my tiny coworker finished hers too. This made me feel better about eating my entire bowl with the serving of rice to soak up the remaining green curry. The restaurant is located in the gem called Kingsley. It is clever how the former Springs Mill is now a mixed-use but there is not enough parking during peak hours. So be aware that you will have to hunt down a parking space. The inside of the restaurant is laid out well. The hostess stand is directly in front of you when you walk in the door and to the left is a couch and chair and additional seating outside should there be a wait. The bar and seating is to the right and beyond that space is a small patio. The place was packed at 12 noon and quickly emptied by 1:15. Our server was not as attentive as she needed to be - we were in need of refills for the last part of our meal. She brought the checks out, and the takeout order arrived before she returned to refill our drinks. I am still going to give it five stars because I have not been able to stop talking about the green curry with chicken for two days. read more
