We had tom yum soup and drunken noodle!! The food was good!! And the service was phenomenal!! They also have a deck that you can sit outside to eat! I eat Thai food across the US, as well as in Europe and Asia. I would say the food is authentic here! The drunken noodle ranks up there with the best ones I've ever had! They were selected as one of the top 50 Thai restaurant in the US as mentioned on the sign by the entrance door!

So glad we found this place! It's near a Harris teeter and some other bigger stores, so nice parking lot, in the Cotswold area. We stopped in on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. They had both indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice, including some booths. They had a sushi special going on at the time - buy 2 get the third free. We ultimately opted for hot dishes instead. The food came out quickly and was delicious!! Our waitress was so kind as well. I also felt the prices were very reasonable, and portions were pretty big. We both left with leftovers. So glad we found this spot, we will absolutely be back!

Had a great first experience at Thai House! My food and my cousins food was very flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The service was a solid 8/10. Not much to say on the ambiance, but the restaurant was clean and traditional. I would definitely recommend!

We had dinner at Thai House last night and really enjoyed it! We started with the steamed chicken gyoza -- they were perfectly tender and flavorful. My sister and I split the pad garlic chicken with white rice, and ordered a side of peanut sauce to add an extra punch; it was delicious and hit all the right savory notes. My boyfriend went for the spicy noodles with beef and shrimp, and he loved the bold, well-balanced heat and fresh ingredients. Overall, great flavors, solid portions, and a cozy vibe -- definitely worth a return visit!

It was decent. Service was fine, location is fine, food was just ok. I had the Alaskan Roll which was delicious but the cucumber roll one I had was too soggy. Soy sauce was poured either over it or poured on the plate before putting the pieces on the plate. Soooooo it was too soggy because of that. Spring rolls were delicious. Husband had the pad Thai and it had an interesting flavor. Not bad...just different to what we were used to. (Not that we are experts) restaurant was clean and had lots of space. Solid 3 stars

So first time here, I did take out and ordered the chicken pad Thai. It was way too saucy and the sauce wasn't a good flavor. I don't like that they put onion yellow onions in their pad Thai, very uncommon. Second time that I tried it was to dine it. It was a good experience. The waitress was very nice. We got the duck which was delicious and so was the hamachi. Drink was good too. The ambiance was they weren't that busy for a Thursday night. It is in a good location but I guess not a lot of people are fans of Thai house. I would go again for the dining but not good for take out.

Sushi and soup were good, the atmosphere was ok and the waitress didn't interact with us very much. Not sure if it was a language barrier or just the norm here. I enjoyed the sushi with the wife during our Christmas shopping. I'd probably give it another shot when I'm in the area again but I wouldn't travel just to go here.

I usually go to the Thai House on E W T Harris and have always had a great experience there. Today, I was closer to the Cotswold location and called to confirm it was the same business. I was told it's the same owner, so I felt comfortable placing an order. I only ever order one of two things from Thai House: red curry or basil fried rice. I paid over $20 and was shocked at what I received. The presentation was awful, it honestly looked like vomit, and unfortunately, the taste didn't help either. I ended up eating it anyway, not because it was good, but because it was the only meal I had all day and I couldn't justify wasting that much money. Still, it was a disappointing experience all around. This location doesn't come close to the quality I'm used to at the E W T Harris spot. I won't be returning to this one.

This is the most adorable Thai restaurant I have ever been to! All the wood carvings throughout the restaurant make the ambiance so great. They have indoor and outdoor covered patio seating. We were sat right away on a Friday night. Shared the chicken pad Thai and chicken panang curry. My friend got the crab rangoons which she loved. Lots of people were getting takeout but the restaurant was also nearly full. Love this local place hidden in a strip shopping center!

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

The Chicken and Dumplings were amazing as well. I always worry about the balance of chicken vs dumplings but this was very well balanced and delicious. The dumplings were cooked well and the chicken was very flavorful. The Southern Fried Steak was fantastic and well. No complaints about this dish either. Every component was well made and delicious. The only complaint I had was the service really went down hill after we got our meal. Our server didn't check on us until she delivered the bill which was disappointing because initially the service started out so well. The Southern Pecan is a good spot. Stop in and grab a bite.

We had reservations but it wasn't overly busy so I don't think they were necessary for that day and time but I would definitely recommend on busier times. I love the fact that this is more of a tapas style restaurant so you can order and taste a ton of options. Plates are generally around $14-22 per plate and they have enough for three or four (tapas style). We started with crab dip and oysters on the half shell (raw). The crab dip was rich and creamy and served with buttered crusty, buttered bread. The oysters were amazing too but a little nuance about these: they are listed by region (e.g. West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, etc.) and not listed as they type of oyster. Oysters vary greatly within a single region so I would encourage you to ask what specific oysters they serve for each region (they will look it up and tell you) to make sure you know what you are getting. We also ordered the calamari, small salad (unlisted option for the salad listed on the menu) and poke bowl to share. We went in hungry and probably ordered too much because this was all to start off. Everything was really good and worth ordering. For my "entree" or ordered the trout which comes with lentils and broccolini. This dish was fantastic and highly recommended. The trout was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was amazing and did a great job. Additionally, this is the perfect spot for a "dinner and a show" since it is right beside the Knight theater. Parking is easily accessible at the Green Garage right across the street.

This restaurant is very nicely designed. It's visually appealing with tables indoors, a bar area, and an outside dining area. The hostess and my server were professional and extremely nice and made my dining experience very pleasant. The reason I am giving three stars instead of four or more comes down to value. Seafood is expensive, I get that. But I don't know that there's much value to be had here. Portion sizes are small relative to what you're paying for. And in my opinion, while the freshness and the quality of the seafood may be there, the flavor is not. I have no doubt that the quality of the seafood here is good. But I did not enjoy anything I ordered. I wasn't put off by the food, but I wish I had wanted to savor each bit. I ordered the cajun grilled oysters and the miso sablefish. I thought both were too salty and despite paying over $40 for the meal, I left still a bit hungry.
