A Cotswold Thai gem -- and save room for dessert! I've been to Thai House before, but this visit was prompted by an American Airlines miles promotion combined with OpenTable points. Honestly, I'm glad it gave me a reason to come back! Located in Cotswold, Thai House has its own private parking lot, which makes getting in and out easy. I was warmly greeted as soon as I arrived, and the friendly, attentive service continued throughout my meal. I already knew what I wanted for dessert, so naturally I planned dinner around it. Priorities! For my entrée, I ordered the Pad Krapraw with chopped chicken ($17.95), a spicy basil dish loaded with chicken and vegetables. It was absolutely delicious, flavorful and generously portioned. There was easily enough to take home for another meal, which makes the value even better. Then came the real reason I had been saving room: mango sticky rice ($8.95). Oh, my goodness. Fantastic. The mango was cool and refreshing, the creamy coconut sauce was also chilled, and the sticky rice arrived warm. That contrast of temperatures and textures made the dessert especially delicious. Sweet, creamy, fruity, warm and cool all at once. I would come back for the mango sticky rice alone. Service was quick, genuinely friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. I also learned about a dine-in promotion where guests can purchase a frozen meal for $9.95 to take home for later. That's going on my list for next time. Authentic, flavorful Thai food, generous portions, friendly service, good value and its own parking lot. If you're in the Cotswold area and craving Thai, Thai House is absolutely worth a visit. I was craving Pad Thai and decided to stop by. I've ordered takeout from here plenty of times in the past, and it's always been good, so I knew I could count on a great meal. When we arrived, Kimberly greeted us with a warm smile and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We originally wanted to sit outside because the patio was nice, but it was a little too hot, so we chose to dine inside where it was much cooler and more comfortable. Alicia took our order, and I have to say she was one of the sweetest people I've met. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We were offered soup to start, which was delicious. For our meal, we ordered the chicken Pad Thai and roasted duck with BBQ sauce on the side. Ordered to go as this restaurant is near my office. I have been craving good Thai food since I moved down from NYC area. There are some amazing Thai restaurants in NYC so that sets the bar pretty high. I ordered the Pad See Ew with shrimp which is definitely one of my "go-to" Thai entree selections. A couple of things I noticed. First of all they used regular broccoli in their version. I have never once seen regular broccoli and not Chinese Broccoli in this dish. That was disappointing. Then the shrimp had the talk on it. I've never had a Thai restaurant leave the tail on in a noodle dish. I found it to be annoying to have to wrestle with it. Unnecessary fir a noodle dish. Finally the sauce wasn't as sweet as o was used to. The recipe is usually made with a SWEET soy sauce. This was clearly regular soy sauce and quite honestly it tasted good first bit but there was a weird aftertaste that I can't describe which made me want to stop eating it even though the first bite was ok. Not sure what that aftertaste was but I'm not a fan and will probably never go back to try something else there. I'm gonna go gargle with Listerine now. We had tom yum soup and drunken noodle!! The food was good!! And the service was phenomenal!! They also have a deck that you can sit outside to eat! I eat Thai food across the US, as well as in Europe and Asia. I would say the food is authentic here! The drunken noodle ranks up there with the best ones I've ever had! So glad we found this place! It's near a Harris teeter and some other bigger stores, so nice parking lot, in the Cotswold area. We stopped in on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. They had both indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice, including some booths. They had a sushi special going on at the time - buy 2 get the third free. We ultimately opted for hot dishes instead. The food came out quickly and was delicious!! Our waitress was so kind as well. I also felt the prices were very reasonable, and portions were pretty big. We both left with leftovers. It was decent. Service was fine, location is fine, food was just ok. I had the Alaskan Roll which was delicious but the cucumber roll one I had was too soggy. Soy sauce was poured either over it or poured on the plate before putting the pieces on the plate. Soooooo it was too soggy because of that. Spring rolls were delicious. Husband had the pad Thai and it had an interesting flavor. Not bad...just different to what we were used to. (Not that we are experts) restaurant was clean and had lots of space. So first time here, I did take out and ordered the chicken pad Thai. It was way too saucy and the sauce wasn't a good flavor. I don't like that they put onion yellow onions in their pad Thai, very uncommon. Second time that I tried it was to dine it. It was a good experience. The waitress was very nice. We got the duck which was delicious and so was the hamachi. Drink was good too. The ambiance was they weren't that busy for a Thursday night. Sushi and soup were good, the atmosphere was ok and the waitress didn't interact with us very much. Not sure if it was a language barrier or just the norm here. This is the most adorable Thai restaurant I have ever been to! All the wood carvings throughout the restaurant make the ambiance so great. They have indoor and outdoor covered patio seating. We were sat right away on a Friday night. Shared the chicken pad Thai and chicken panang curry. My friend got the crab rangoons which she loved. I usually go to the Thai House on E W T Harris and have always had a great experience there. Today, I was closer to the Cotswold location and called to confirm it was the same business. I was told it's the same owner, so I felt comfortable placing an order. I only ever order one of two things from Thai House: red curry or basil fried rice. I paid over $20 and was shocked at what I received. The presentation was awful, it honestly looked like vomit, and unfortunately, the taste didn't help either. I ended up eating it anyway, not because it was good, but because it was the only meal I had all day and I couldn't justify wasting that much money. Still, it was a disappointing experience all around. This location doesn't come close to the quality I'm used to at the E W T Harris spot. I won't be returning to this one. read more

The food is still good (still best Pad Kee Mao in CLT!), and the service is great, but nothing can justify how expensive this place has become. The portions also seem to be smaller now. Great Thai food is hard to come by in Charlotte. When you find it, hood on tight. I discovered Thai House from a food delivery app during the pandemic and I've always ordered delivery or takeout. Next time, I'll dine in. From what I see of the restaurant, it's beautiful inside. Customer service is always good (from the mobile or carry out perspective) and the prices are standard for the type of cuisine. It's not cheap - maybe moderately priced, but it's always hot, fresh and you get great quality and quantity. There is parking onsite in the plaza where the restaurant is located so accessibility isn't an issue. I highly recommend Thai House. It's in my top 3 Thai restaurants in town. read more

Always a solid and consistent experience for us. We've ordered carry out, dined inside before and this time on Sat night dined on the covered patio for the first time. No wait to get seated. They seem to do a robust carry out business. The beer selection while large, is lacking any local beers which is a drawback. My bride ordered #47 Nam Prig Paow and enjoyed it and mentioned the chicken being very moist. I went with #57 Green Curry with Chicken and it was excellent....well proportioned and the spice level was perfect. Service was fine....they seem to be short staffed so the people working are running hard. We will continue to come here for both carry out and to dine in. read more

Friendly service and decent Thai dishes here. I would characterize the food here as Americanized Thai food, well made but not the most authentic. Appetizers and soup here are better than some of the entrees and sticky rice with Mango dessert is the best here.
