Came here on a weekday during lunch as their sign had caught my eye since it was new. This seems to be a family owned business and the staff was nice and friendly. The place itself is clean and spacious. I do love that they have a tiny wooden table for kids to sit. We ordered take out in which the food came out promptly (15 mins). How this works is you pick your base: dry or soup ($8.99) and then add anything additional for more money. The base does come with some noodles, lotus roots, seaweed knots and some veggies. For my order, I had the base soup with fatty lamb and we also got the spicy base with fatty lamb, enoki mushrooms and tofu skin. My husband enjoyed the spicy one as it was full of flavor. My base one was good but a bit bland. I'm not sure if due to being take out, the portions were not as big as I thought they would be BUT it does fill you up. I'm also not sure what the difference is between the VIP pricing vs regular as we were charged regular. Overall, it really adds up as you're picking additional toppings. Next time, we'll probably give it a try in person to see if portions are comparable.

The homemade DanDan noodles were our favorite, which are served with ground pork in a spicy peanut sauce. We also got the three cup chicken which was so good, with a sweet, licorice-like glaze. Some other favorites were the black pepper chicken and the long hot chicken, if you enjoy spice. We had the ginger and scallion dish and was not our favorite, as the chicken had a unique consistency and was quite limp. Overall, good service and a relaxing ambiance in a bustling city.

Unfortunately the experience at pickup wasn't the best. I asked if they had included utensils and the gentleman at the counter said no. I asked for some since I was bringing the food back to my hotel and wouldn't have anything to eat with. He was pretty dismissive and didn't seem to want to give me anything. (I also didn't get any napkins.) Just a little strange when ordering takeout, utensils should be included right? Or at the very least be readily given out when requested? He begrudgingly gave me 2 pairs of chopsticks and a fork, said he ran out of spoons. I didn't notice the lack of napkins until I got back. Now for the food. We ordered dan dan noodles, a chicken lo mein, and Taiwanese minced pork rice. The noodle dishes were decent but the lo mein was a bit too al dente for our liking...especially for our young son. Didn't get a chance to eat the rice because we were all too full from the noodles. Appreciate the generous portions at least. Will see if the rice will make it home safely with us and reheats well. Can't speak on the ambience. Wasn't in there long enough to really look around. Will I order from them again or try in person in the future? I'm not sure. I wasn't blown away by the food or service so...

When I first walked in, I was about to walk out as the atmosphere was very hipster-est & not of traditional Chinese restaurant. We sat down. Gave us a menu and tea was served immediately. Good sign. Ordered a twice cook pork and garlic eggplant. It was very good. What impressed me the most was that the food was out within 10 minutes. Now that's authentic! Service is good. Poor server (Angela) was by herself and always kept a happy face. What a professional! Highly recommend if you are looking for good Szechuan food with good service.

A bit on the higher priced side for this dish but as I've had some great food from a different Han Dynasty location I didn't mind trying them out. Portion size was average on the chicken. The spice level says 8/10 but it was definitely on the weaker side. Maybe the peppers themselves were older / dried out and the flavor faded too much vs fresher peppers right before cooking. Maybe a bad choice of dish or an off day but as compared to a few other Sichuan dry pepper dishes from other restaurants around Philly it was a clear step below them. Might try a different choice if I order again.

Picture this. It's a rainy day in Philly. You've just come out of a midweek myofascial release HAZE…read moreand you're craving something hearty and rich. Ramen? No. Too commercial, gentrified even. Then you come across Spice-C and their hole in the wall feel beckons. The -2222- in their phone number signals to you that this was a heaven sent idea. (Note- the service is noticeably grudging aka providing what is required but with no warmth or even acknowledgement of your presence, very perfunctory but alas. We're in 2026, we're blessed to be joyful and alive, and we move) The soups base was rich, and made even richer by the table side accoutrements. I could spread my brisket with my chopsticks, my tripe was flavorful, and my steak also melted in my mouth. The house special was a knockout, and the never ending fountain of hand drawn noodles was the cherry of top.

The ambiance inside can be described as family friendly and good for small groups of 2-4. We did have to wait a little bit for the table, but service was quick once we were inside the restaurant. The menu had a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian noodle and rice dishes. I'd definitely recommend trying a noodle dish as they're known for hand pulling the noodles. We ordered a seaweed salad and mixed veggies with tofu (rice and noodles). All of the dishes were seasoned well, priced appropriately for the portions, and were good for sharing. I'd recommend this place when visiting with a family in Chinatown.

Food was phenomenal! Everything we had was delicious, very tasty. The general tso's soup dumplings were delicious. The pork bao buns were an explosion of flavor! We also shared a Kim Chee fried rice and Korean bbq beef satay. The rice texture was perfect and so flavorful with plenty of shrimp as well. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones chocolate pecan and vanilla guava!!! I could have eaten 10! Definitely going back, excited to try other dishes!!!

We ordered the crispy chicken bao buns, crispy shrimp, general tso soup dumplings, wagyu beef, Korean bbq beef, and hamachi ceviche. We were a group of 3 so one thing that was nice was that our waiter added 1 additional skewer/bao bun for the meals instead of ordering 2 plates of them. Out of all the food we ordered the most delicious were the meats; the wagyu and Korean bbq beef. They were so tender and lightly seasoned because the beef quality itself was good. The Wagyu beef was paired with an apricot dip that was really good. The chilli crisp chicken bao was also good but didn't have much sauce, so it was on the dry side. It was supposed to have chilli so we expected it to be spicy but it was not. We all really liked the crispy shrimp--it was truly crispy. The sauce and the radish paired really nicely with the shrimp as well. The one meal we did not enjoy were the soup dumplings. When we got them they were dripping of raw dough and had no soup in them. The waiter was kind enough to replace them but we still didn't really enjoy them. I did not try the hamachi ceviche because I'm pregnant but it was also a favorite from the group. For dessert we had the mini ice cream cones. The waiter again added an extra one for us. The flavors were chocolate banana and mango. They were good, small bites. One of them melted so quickly and fell on the table and the waiter was really kind and got us a replacement. I did use the bathroom and absolutely hated it. It was unbelievably dark in there and there were weird sounds playing in there. I went in there to make sure I didn't have food in my teeth but couldn't even see. Super inaccessible, hopefully that's something that can be changed. The service overall was clearly excellent! I would recommend this place, especially if you come for the meats. It was surprisingly filling too.
