Spice Indian is a nice little spot for authentic Indian food. I came for lunch and had a very good experience. Here's the deal: Ambiance is fine. A smaller restaurant with approximately 15 booths/ tables, able to accommodate parties up to 12. The restaurant is a more casual setting feeling like a cafe had it not been for the Indian music and a large TV with music videos playing. The restaurant was very clean and otherwise comfortable. Service was very good. My server was attentive and accommodating, the food was served quickly. The food is the star here at Spice. I had chicken tikka masala and the lunch portion was more than enough. Served with chunks of green peppers and onions which is to my preference and something I look for in this dish. The sauce was less creamy than some but I thought balanced without too much of a tomato forward flavor. The amount of chicken was just right. I ordered mine American hot and it was more on the mild side. I would suggest ordering a step up from what you might typically order. Overall a great dish and recommended. The lunch specials come with a samosa appetizer and small desert which rounds out the lunch really well. I ordered garlic naan in addition to this. The naan was actually a bit below par compared to the rest of the meal but not bad. For those of you who want a bit more than soda or tea, the restaurant offers beers, wines and wells. Ordered carryout and unfortunately wasn't a fan of either dish. The Chili Garlic Noodles lacked the balance and depth of flavor I was expecting, and the Gajrela didn't really land for me in terms of taste or texture. Packaging was fine and the order was accurate, but overall the food just didn't work for my palate. Likely a personal preference, but I wouldn't order these items again. read more

This place is a true hidden gem. This is the only Indian restaurant in this immediate area but it is an incredible find. The service is fast. It is in a strip mall but don't let that fool you. The place has a delightful ambiance. The food is outstanding. Well cooked with tremendous flavor. The spice level can be adjusted for any dish to your taste. I really cannot recommend this restaurant enough, however once the secret gets out everyone will want to try it!! read more

Lunch menu is good value and the choice is varied. Best eaten sitting in. Our experience with carry out left much to be desired. Delightful lamb seekh kebab came drowned in restaurant base curry gravy. Non-veg platter was generous with 3 tandoori shrimp, on-bone tandoori chicken and a dry chicken tikka again sadly drowned in the red oily puddle. Overall, unpretentious fast service indian cuisine with a long menu and good ambience. From dhosa to chaat and kebab to tikka. I will be visiting again very soon to find that rare gem of a dish I crave so much. Sure it's hiding somewhere on the menu. Enjoy! read more

We have ordered takeaway from here many times, obviously because their dishes are very delicious. In fact, one time, it was so good, my daughter wanted more, so we ordered for her immediately and we took two orders within the same hour. Their service is extremely good, patient, courteous and welcoming. We will definitely be their permanent, long term customer. The Punjabi chicken curry was superb, tawa roti and butter naan were my son-in-law's favorites. Keep up the great quality of food and stupendous service. My husband and I have been waiting for about 8 years for an Indian restaurant to come near VCC. We tried Spice last week and loved it! They've updated the old Chinese spot. The interior is clean, bright. I think there were about 12 tables/booths. We heard a lot of diverse hip hop from the mounted big screen, which didn't bother us, but FYI. The food was excellent! I had chicken saag that was creamier than most, and very flavorful. We shared a butter naan that was crispier than I've had, but I appreciated that. Servers, and the owner, checked on us frequently. The best dal tadka I've had. Period. I am not from this area, I was just passing through and needed some food. I ordered the dal tadka and aloo gobi, I didn't want to leave. Just fantastic. I received an advertisement for a new Indian restaurant in my neighborhood called SPICE! I am a huge fan of Indian cuisine and thought they would be good fit to the area. We entered the restaurant and the aroma was amazing. We were sat immediately with water, wafers and dipping sauces. I wish we had consumed more, but unfortunately we never got our drinks or appetizers. Those that came after us did though. We left due to the disregard. I hope you have better luck. read more

Outstanding Butter Chicken (0 spice)and Vindaloo (Spice level 7) along with great garlic naan and a complimentary crisp app with two excellent sauces. The service was attentive and friendly and tasteful decor. This as our new go-to Indian restaurant after the closing of Malabar years ago. read more
