I visited on a Monday noon and was surprised to find the place almost packed. The dining space is spacious with a sleek yet cozy decor, and parking is a breeze too. Highly Recommended Dishes: * Pad Thai: Rice noodles coated in rich, flavorful sauce, paired with crisp bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. * Panang Curry: Creamy and thick with a nutty peanut aroma, it's loaded with tender chicken, crisp-sweet bell peppers, and fresh basil. * Must-try Appetizer: Chicken Satay Skewers--marinated in coconut milk and grilled over charcoal, they're absolutely delicious when dipped in the creamy peanut sauce. Drink Pick: Go for the classic Thai Iced Tea. Its tea flavor blended with coconut notes is perfect for cutting through the richness. You can customize the spiciness level from 1 to 10 (mild to extra hot). I opted for level 2, which was just right--not spicy at all but full of flavor.

Lunch special veggies with tofu in peanut sauce

I've been frequenting this place on and off for over 15 years (back when the average lunch special there cost about $12 vs the $20 it is now). I have a feeling it may have changed hands again recently as I did not recognize any of the usual servers and the walls had been stripped of their traditional Thai embellishments. They are now stark white and bare minus the Christmas decor which honestly just felt weird. Especially coupled with the loud Christmas music. I don't recall there ever being music in there before. It definitely detracted from the experience and any hint of authenticity had been removed. In the past the soup that came with the lunch special used to have what appeared to be hand cut veggies in it. This time there were your standard frozen peas, carrots, etc that felt as though they were still thawing out. They even changed the wrappers and filling in their potato dumplings which for years were my favorite. These tasted flat and flavorless. They used to use wonton wrappers that would bubble up and have texture. These were not those. Also they used to use fresh celery in their dishes and there was none in my veggie dish. Maybe they were just out (who knows?) but it was something I would always look forward to. And even their Thai tea fell flat. They hardly put any coconut milk so it was darker than I was used to. Finally, when I asked for chopsticks, they removed my fork. It actually took me by surprise and it was removed so fast I didn't have a chance to say anything. Just because I requested chopsticks doesn't mean I don't want a fork as well. On a positive note, the veggies and tofu in peanut sauce looked good and tasted fine, but it was just ok. In the past this place was great. I'm surprised I never reviewed them over the years because in the past they would have had 5 stars for sure.

Our family has been coming here for years. I really like the remodel that I saw when picking up our dinner for take out. We usually get take out and bring our dinner to the beach for a picnic. I love that they get the food packaged so well that it's still hot by the time we eat it at the beach. We usually get chicken pad thai, yellow curry or penang curry, and then top it off with a thai ice tea. So yummy!

I work nearby, so I've been coming here for over a decade. I normally order their lunch special, which comes with a tom kha soup, salad, and wontons with an orange sauce that I don't remember the name of, but it's all delicious. My normal order is either the pad thai or the Panang curry. Both are very good. The chicken tends to come out a little dry, and I don't like eating beef on warm days, so I tend to opt for the tofu. I'm not a vegetarian, but I actually prefer the food with the tofu (they fry it, so the consistency is really yummy). The prices have gone up over the years, but that's to be expected with the times. The staff is always fast and helpful. The restaurant has lots of traditional Thai decor and art, which is pretty cool. I normally get it to-go, but it's still fun to stop by the front and grab some of the mints for the end of the meal.

I got the BBQ pork pad thai at lunch and it came with fried wonton and spring roll. The pad thai was a little more saucy than usual, but it's not bad; it does not come with peanuts, so if you like peanuts to go with your pad thai like I do, you'd have to ask them for the spice tray. The portion is ok and I like the ratio between the protein and the noodles. I also got the Thai iced tea and it's also alright. Nothing really stood out but it's not a bad lunch place.

Tum #15 Tom Kha Coconut Soup (I think)

My team came here for lunch to celebrate birthdays and a work anniversary. It was six of us and we were seated as soon as we walked inside. They have a nice patio for dining outside as well. It is located in a shopping center complex so there is plenty of parking. Upon walking in, I was a little confused as it seemed that the front part of the restaurant is used as a storage/office or something because there were boxes and papers surrounding the area. It was sectioned off by folding shades. Our server was nice and greeted our table as soon as we sat down. They had the typical choices that I expected and enjoy! I decided to go with my go to which was the Pad see eyew with shrimp under the lunch specials which came with soup, two Wong tongs and an spring roll. The soup was the Tum kha soup which was very light and refreshing. It had a small kick to it which was a nice touch (not too spicy). Our main courses came out pretty quick after receiving the soup and I was not disappointed. My dish was very good and tasted as I expected. I didn't get much shrimp, maybe 6 pieces but overall it was a good dish. The flavors were there and I only did a 3 on the spice scale which goes to 10. It had just enough spice to go with the flavor without it being too spicy for me. Overall, it was a good experience and would definitely eat here again on my lunch break at some point in the future.

So I've been to two Thai restaurants within a span of a few days and this one was the better of the two food wise. I would've liked more of a spice hit. It isn't much decor wise - just a space with tables and chairs. The servers are nice. We got the Panang curry and the drunken noodles for 7/10 and 8/10 spice level. Both dishes tasted good. Good quantity also. Personally speaking though, I could've had more heat in both. I'll definitely be back and ask for a level 9 next time!

Separate barriers give a sense of privacy. Great waiting area for to-go!

Love this place There are a lot of choices around the parking lot - rest assured, this place is a great decision. Fantastic service and really yummy food. They've redesigned the place. It's gorgeous! Outdoor area for large groups and a place to your left for meeting areas. I love the calamari with spicy mint leaves and they accompaniments that come with the lunch are amazing well worth the price and so good. It is a bit cold inside, that's my only minus - food gets cold fast, so eat!

We were lucky and were able to grab the spot right out front. For drinks we each ordered a cocktail. It did take a bit for them to come out but once they did you can tell time and effort were put into making them. They were beautiful and all tasted great. We ordered 4 dishes to share, the wasabi scallop ceviche, crispy baby crab, braised beef panang, and crab fried rice. The ceviche was definitely one of my favorites. Super flavorful, fresh, with the perfect amount of wasabi. The crispy baby crab was savory and easy to eat, especially since you're eating the whole crab, shell and all. The curry in the braised beef panang was so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it. The crab fried rice was tasty and filling. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. The mangoes were fresh and sweet. Overall pretty standard but still yummy. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. All the food came out in the timely manner. The vibe of the restaurant is casual but can be a little dressy for a nice date. Overall I definitely recommend a try here. They were so flavorful and crispy, I cannot recommend them enough. The taro fritters were a close second, the tamarind sauce was also a highlight of my dinner experience. Service was quick + amiable, and the inside of Sovereign was clean and inviting. The decor is dark and moody, with live plants throughout the establishment. Parking is metered & limited, but definitely worth the hassle.

Place is quite dim, decor is beautiful with real plants, & some local vendor items for sale by the entrance. The menu is front & back so a lot of delicious choices, but I wasn't feeling too hungry so my friend and I just shared dishes. We ordered the sausage fried rice and the chef special basil stir-fry with crispy pork (also comes with a side of white rice). My friend and I loved the crispiness of the pork! And the way that egg was fried is one of my favorite ways of it being cooked. It made me want to order an extra egg. But other than that the sausage fried rice was also delicious. The sausage was very tender, slightly sweet but not like Chinese sausage style. I definitely loved the way it tastes. We had to ask for some spice on the side because I just knew both dishes will tastes better with some kick. I'll come back again just to try some of their curry dishes. I see why a lot of my friends have recommended this spot and why some of them do come back.

When we ordered, our server took the time to explain their spice scale (1-5), letting us know that a 1 is already about a medium spice level. We settled on mostly 2-3, but wow--the Thum Khao Poon (shredded green papaya salad) still packed some serious heat! Even my spice-loving kids were challenged. The server also gave us a heads-up that it's very fish-forward in flavor, which we appreciated and happened to love. The absolute standout of the meal was the Nam Khao Tod. It was hands down the family favorite--crispy coconut rice with pork sausage, crunchy peanuts, fresh herbs, and so many incredible textures and flavors in every bite. We could have ordered a second plate! We also had the Drunken Noodles with chicken, which were slightly oily in the best possible way, making them extra rich and delicious. The Chef's Special Basil Stir Fry with Crispy Pork was another winner. Our server brought over a chili vinegar that elevated the crispy pork to a whole new level--it was so good drizzled over every bite. Great food, thoughtful service, and plenty of dishes we're already looking forward to trying next time. Can't wait to come back!
