Food wasn't far behind, I did a sausage egg and added cream cheese instead of having the American cheese it comes with. Everything bagel is their best one in my opinion. There's some outdoor counter spaces, and a few picnic tables, but not tons of seating. There is a drive through and we saw a number of people picking up food they'd ordered online. Today there were so many detours in Point Loma that I ended up in Ocean Beach and decided to treat my friend and I to my favorite Chago Chino, and she wanted to try some of their pastries, so she ended up ordering the bagel of the month, which was a peanut butter bagel with bananas foster cream cheese . We split the warm bagel and made a big mess with every bite because the cream cheese was oozing out of the entire bagel each bite we took. I got it all over my face and she got it on her shirt and her hands everywhere. That's a sign of a good bagel with enough cream cheese for every bite! My Chago Chino was ordered at room temperature which they call kids temp so I guess I'm a kid at heart which is the truth ! My friend also ordered an apple cinnamon muffin for later since she is a bakery lover, and doesn't like to bake herself. The bill came to $20 so you can decide whether that is worth it or not. This place is pretty awesome. First I had to say that the staff was super helpful. I didn't know what I wanted to get, ultimately I was told that they have a special food thing every month so I just went with that. Turns out ube bagel with ube cream cheese AND fresh strawberries is probably the best bagel I've ever had (shown in pics). I also got a cold brew with flavored whipped cream on top, which they also have several flavors of. There's a seating area in the back if you want to chill out. First of all, the place just looks dope. Before you even get to the coffee, the whole setup already has you in a good mood. The outdoor seating is formidable in the best way: tables, chairs, open air, and that good old Ocean Beach energy doing what OB does. It's a whole vibe. Jon and Sam were super dope brothers -- welcoming, kind, and clearly serious about what they do without making it feel pretentious. So naturally, as a self-appointed connoisseur of vibes and flavor, I had to test the monthly special: a bagel with ube and a latte with taro. Now let me be clear: I do not normally like ube or taro. That was the test. And somehow, these guys made me question my entire position. The strawberry cream ube on the bagel was amazing -- sweet, smooth, balanced, and way better than I expected. Then the latte came through with that taro flavor adding another layer without overpowering the coffee itself. The coffee was already delicious, but the taro gave it this unexpected little plot twist. And because details matter: the bathroom? Exquisite. My husband recently discovered this place when looking for breakfast to order for himself. He left it so much he ordered it for us again over the weekend. I got the lox bagel . It was actually pretty heavy so I ate half yesterday and other half today, happily surprised that it tasted just as good today! The only thing I will comment is I took the bagel apart because it was so large and all of the toppings were not very nicely distributed, I was just a little disappointing cuz it felt like it was rushed to be made. I love Spill the Beans! This was my first time at this location. I went through the drive through and it's not like your typical drive through. You pull up to the door and someone walks out and takes your order. I got my usual the iced basic stich but this time she convinced me to get cold foam. I think it was white chocolate macadamia. I also got an everything bagel with plain cream cheese. I came around 10 or 11AM and she said a lot of bagels were already sold out. Everyone that works at Spill the Beans is always so nice. My husband and I needed sustenance before making our way to the Zoo Safari Park and rolled up to this gem. we opted for: - a medium iced OTP - cold brew on tap, cinnamon simple syrup and oat milk - a bacon, egg and cheese on a habanero bagel + avocado - traditional bacon, egg and cheese on a plain bagel ....and OMG! So, So good!! My coffee was the perfect blend of sweetness to coffee, and the sandwiches were HUGE - freshly made eggs with thick cut bacon and an entire avocado - absolutely delicious!! I like that this is a drive thru spot, it made it quick and easy for us. The drinks are pretty sweet, but still tasty. I would probably ask for it to be less sweet next time, but would def come back. I visited twice when in OB for the week. I like how you can just walk up to the counter and order. Service was good both times. First time I tried the strawberry lemonade and it was really good! I wanted it again on the second visit, but they were out of it at 8 am. Only other option was orange juice and I declined. The blueberry muffin is sooo good! The cream cheese is very flavorful as well, we even got some to take back to Vegas. I'm not a fan of the bagels. They are too dense and chewy for my liking. This is a cute little drive-thru coffee shop. I went through the drive-thru, as I left I saw another side/window for walk up ordering and some outdoor seating. Service- 5/5 She was kind, helpful, professional, and had a chill vibe (which I appreciated). I had like 20 questions. Coffee- 5/5 I had the blonde mocha which was delicious; not too sweet, and the coffee was tasty. Bagel- 5/5 San Dieggo BBLt They were both scrumptious, they didn't skimp out on the bacon either. Bagels were fluffy, lightly crunchy, and soft on the inside. Prices- I bought 3 bagel sandwiches and an iced coffee and paid $50. I paid for quality and was satisfied/full. I feel like that's the going rate for fast food in this economy. I will definitely be back to try the assortment of bagels, spreads, and more coffee. Side note: This place only accepts card. First things first, these ladies rock! Service was great. It was my first time, they offered all the options from cold foam to sandwhiches. They had monthly specials for February I think one is chocolate covered strawberries iced coffee and then some sort of matcha! I ordered just a drip coffee and a sandwich with Sun Diegggoo sandwich with pizza bagel. It was by far, the best bagel sandwhich I've had in a long time! My sister-in law got a chocolate covered strawberry ice coffee. They have a nice seating area bar kinda and side of the building seating. The area is quiet and calm. I would say it wasn't busy. Decided to stick it out since I was hungry, until I found the second hair and spit the rest of the sandwich out. Usually finding hairs isn't the worst thing in the world (yes its gross but we're only human) but more than one suggests there's more. Needless to say, ill be eating elsewhere. Also, the chick with short hair working the front was rude off the get go. Who tells people they don't serve iced coffee at a coffee shop. I felt like emmet in the first scene of the Lego movie. #everything is awesome. THEN I opened up the behemoth that is the thighmaster. JEEEEZ I was sweating. I had to take it home and eat it with a knife and fork. I also wasn't expecting the sheer amount of garlic aioli oozing out of the sides and making the bagel eating experience sloppy as heck.
