We tried Spin for the first time a few weeks ago. The staff was super friendly. The pizza wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. I made my own with chicken and veggies. I do like that you can make the pizza to your liking with a lot of choices and can choose an individual pizza. Their minestrone soup was really good and they have happy hours for wine etc and they gave you a good amount. Price is good for what you get. read more

Very good and offers gluten free which is wonderful. I had the five cheese blanca pizza, which was nice and garlic-y. The pepperoni was spicy too. Can't wait to try it again, especially their hummus and gelato selection. read more

Ate here on a recent Saturday evening. The set up of this place is a little confusing. Menu is posted on the wall as you walk in and you place your order with the cashier before you are seated. If your not sure what you want and someone behind you does it creates a little confusion and holds up the line. After you are seated many different waiters and waitresses serve your table. So you never actually know who your server is if you need something. The pizza is very good. Tastes very fresh. Salads were good too. read more

We went on a Sunday evening about 6 p.m. Service was very good, we came in the back door, were noticed immediately and directed to the ordering line. After we ordered drinks and salads were delivered quickly. The salads were fine, nothing remarkable. I had a 6" whole wheat crust pizza with sundried tomato and portobella mushrooms. There were 4 slices of mushrooms on the pizza. Even though the pizza crust was not burned, it had a burnt taste - maybe it was where it was sitting in the oven, because my husband's pizza didn't have a burned taste. I thought the sauce was lacking complex flavor and the crust other than the burnt flavor was fairly tasteless. I would have liked some more cheese on the pizza. We had piccolo (small) bowls of gelato. Actually, it's really the amount of ice cream one SHOULD be eating - about a half cup. I had chocolate mocha, my husband had blueberry. The flavor was good, but I didn't care for the mouth-feel of it. Mine had some ice crystals as well as parts that tasted gummy - maybe it was an older batch. All in all, it was an OK meal, but I wouldn't go back. I just didn't care for this type of pizza. I prefer Minksy's. read more

Really good pizza. I have only eaten in once. I hate the idea of waiting in line and ordering. If I'm going to spend $60 on pizza (I have two teenage boys), I'll be damned if I'm going to order at a counter, so we do carryout. Also, if you are planning on leftover pizza for breakfast the next morning. Expect to eat it cold and quite possibly chip a tooth (and BTW, I AM willing to run that risk) It does not re-heat very well, especially in an oven. read more

You can't go wrong with Spin! Everything on the menu from the wonderful pizzas to the awesome salads are great...you really can't go wrong. Every time I have ate here I have had wonderful service. My last waiter was Cam and he was incredible. He got to our table right as we sat down and never left us waiting for anything. Food is mostly good. Service can be very inconsistent. I'm guessing a pretty high turnover rate for servers. Update: The service has improved over the last month or so. Hopefully this continues. We enjoy the food and convenient location. read more

If you're into Neapolitan pies this is certainly a good choice. Over the years I've tried about half the pre-built options available and I haven't had a bad one. The food is always good and the staff is friendly as well. My only complaint is that its only about a 40% chance if you order an appetizer that it comes out before your food. Additionally I've never cared much for the other menu items they offer outside the pizza, but hey it's a pizza place first! read more

This place recently opened up and we thought we would give it a try since they had some gluten free stuff that my wife could eat as well. We waited in line for a good 20 minutes. There was only 4 people in front of us. Nobody seemed to have a clue what was going on and it was very disorganized. We had a young man ask us how many were in our party. It was me, my wife and 2 kids. We told him and he walked off never to be seen again. When we finally got to order, we were told there was no seating available so we could wait or sit outside. With a quick glance around the dining area, I could clearly see empty tables that needed to be cleaned off. At this point I was just ready to get our food ordered and get my family fed so we took the outside seating. MISTAKE. After being seated, we were told our waiter would come take care of us. We had multiple people come out asking around all the tables out there who had ordered what. There were other people out there that only got half their food. The other half they didn't get for about 30 minutes. We had another long wait before we got our 2 pizzas, drinks and salads. This was my first and will be my last time going to this place. Maybe they were still trying to get all their kinks worked out from being a newer place but you should have that done before you open up. As for the food. The crust of the pizza's was lame and the toppings were sparse. I'd take pizza hut over this place and I don't even like pizza hut. Stick with Minsky's or Wheat State Pizza and save yourself the headache and get a decent pizza. read more

This was my girlfriend and I first time to the restaurant where we live close by. It is undoubtedly one of the best places to eat for experiencing a variety of food options as well as taste. Love their salads and the salad/small pizza combo. Have only got carry out so cannot comment on atmosphere. However, decided to just get carry out salads one evening so ordered them with chicken. Was thoroughly disappointed with the deli style clumps of chicken that had the bad taste that deli chicken usually has. Thought Spin would use at least use some real chicken breasts to complement their fresh salad offerings. Then to make matters worse, got all the way home and realized they forgot the dressing! My experience eating at spin pizza was much different than the reviews that led me to eat there. Unlike the reviews, the customer service that I received was very unsatisfactory. I arrived at spin at 6:52 to see a long line and only one of the two cashier stands in use, after waiting around 10 minutes my friend and I both ordered a "mini mia" meal which is a salad and small pizza combo. After ordering at 7:03 we received our drinks at 7:11 which seemed like a long time after waiting in a line. Once out drinks were brought out our server quickly sat them down without introducing herself or letting us know she would be our server. While waiting for our salads we noticed the people who ordered after us had already gotten theirs. 15 minutes into our stay and we revived our pizzas, which made good time but we then notified the lady who brought us our food (who was not our intended server) that we were missing our salads, she told us she would check on them and went back to the kitchen. The salads then came with the same lady about 5 minutes later, while both of us had already started eating our pizza. We enjoyed the food but we did not see our server again until I waved her down to ask for a refill which had been empty for a few minutes. She refilled my drink and when she returned I asked for a Togo box. Upon leaving (after at least 50 minutes) we noticed what seemed to be the manager stop by the table next to us. The manager who had not visited our table the entire stay. She told the family next to us who apparently had the same issue of their salads not making it to the table before their pizza, that she was sorry for the inconvenience and offered to take all of the salads of their tab and still bring out the salads. I left the restaurant very upset that I was not approached by a manager nor offered a way of fixing the issue I had. I do not know why I was wasn't checked on but I felt very invaluable as a customer. The food was good but it was not worth the wait and the random decisions of managerial duties. read more

Food is great, but service has really gone downhill as of late. I recently had to walk out due to being completely ignored while three staff members watched the cashier ignore me while the only customer ahead of me in line was being served wine samples at the bar. read more

Since I have been to this spin pizza I have to say I have found myself sneaking away from my friends just to go there. Spin has excellent food. The service is always good. I've yet to try many of the sandwiches but they look terrific. Pizza is always hot and incredibly flavorful. I like to try their combinations but also make up my own as well. Give it a try, well worth the $. read more

We eat at SPIN pretty regularly and have done so at multiple locations, Prairie Village and Leawood, before moving out west and close to the Renner location. When we first started coming to the Renner location we were pretty disappointed in the service. Same great food but less than average service. However, since Amy took over it has been drastically improved. They are now far more focused on customer service. This has certainly brought us back more frequently. read more
