Read several reviews about the bad customer service here and fortunately for my family and I, we did not experience that. Bad points are that they are busy in the mornings and may be prone to forgetting a few things (my son's toast) and not very attentive at the register. Probably because they were busy. As far as my sons toast, the waitress/cashier was running around handling all the customers when she told us she would bring it to us. Halfway thru the meal my son no longer wanted it so no sense ask at that point. We ordered the Ham and Veggie Omelet: wife said it was tasty and had nice chunks of veggies in it. Roast Pork: It was good and it was a lot of food. Not great but at least it was filling Pancakes: There were 3 thick and chewy pancakes, if you like that type then you will like these. We loved em! Breakfast plate: spam eggs and rice. Eggs were under cooked and runny. Not the yolk being runny but the whites still being partially translucent. Prices are what you maybe pay at a Denny's or such. I would have given this place 4 stars if not for the eggs and slight forgetfulness of the busy staff. Also, if you go there for the first time, you order and pay at the register even though it looks like a place to be served, they will bring the food to you. read more

I go Almost every Saturday since they started serving smoked beef brisket because it's irresistible. Tender, juicy and full of flavor it satisfies all my cravings. The garlic smashed potatoes are perfection with chunks and delicate skins to confirm it's made from real potatoes not powdered. And the green bean casserole side is such a treat! (The current temperature and local altitude, I mean, local attitude for today at the Spinners Cafe is.....) WHATEVERS!! This review is based on the fact that I had to deal with Spinners Cafe as its in cahoots with the Dolphin Excursions tour. You have to pay for your pictures here after your trip and some of the workers in the Cafe are part of the tour. I didn't know it at the time, but one of the kitchen gals came out of the bathroom early in the morning and I said "Hello" to her as she came out of the stall but she ignored me. She had a Dolphin Excursions shirt on. Maybe she didn't hear me, whatevers. I walk over to get a coffee for my hubby at 0630 before the tour and the cafe was empty. There were only two workers behind the counter, a man drinking coffee at a table and myself standing at the counter. The girl had her back turned to me the whole time and I stood there a few minutes. Don't tell me her peripheral vision didn't work because a man (I'm guessing an old timer) was proclaiming he couldn't function without his coffee as he walked into the Cafe and promptly got his (free) coffee. I got coffee (paid for) after him (which was good) and headed to the Dolphin Excursions store where we had to be fitted for gear. It was the same girl who came out of the bathroom fitting us for our gear. My husband was in a great mood as this was his Father's Day surprise and was laughing and joking but the sullen girl who came out of the bathroom was just there to do her job to fit us for snorkels and fins. I could see thought bubbles in her head saying "whatevs shut up already" After the Dolphin Excursion tour, I was told to head over there to pay for photos and pick up lunch, which was the wrong information. You only pay for the optional dolphin tours package there; your lunch is already at the staging area. So I wait at the counter for ten minutes looking at the six workers in various stages of busy-ness rolling burgers, flipping stuff at a grill and talking story. Miss Whatevs comes up, sees me at counter but avoids eye contact at all cost, picks up the ringing phone to take an order. What the hell. I didn't have my credit card but it didn't matter, I don't want to deal with a distracted worker who can't even look at me much less take an order for a photo package. She did apologize though, saying "we're really busy today" and went right back to being stressed. Whatevers. We are all human but we like to be treated like people too, you know, cuz? It wasn't only Miss Whatevs, but the others in the cafe too. The food was only so-so. Take your own coffee in a thermos and maybe pack your own lunch to avoid the Whatevs' read more

I was so excited to come here and try their breakfast as I saw the great reviews. I ordered ahead via Uber eats for pickup and upon arriving ordered the Loco Moco for my boyfriend as well. I initially waited to be serviced for about 20 - 25 mins just to get my Uber eats order that was ready for pickup, & to place my secondary order. I waited an additional 20-25 mins just waiting for my boyfriends order, which I was originally fine with, because based off the reviews, the food would be worth it. When we got home , my plate was good, & perfectly fine. But my boyfriends Loco Moco plate was a disaster. There was no egg, & the plate did not look appetizing one bit. I do not find this acceptable, & I do not believe we will be eating here again. Bad service, long wait time, & the food is a hit or miss. read more

Had lunch here as part of the dolphin excursions package. Ordered the loco mock which is onions mushrooms gravy on top of hamburger patties with rice and eggs. It was SUPER GOOD. I recommend getting the eggs over easy. Its comfort food, Hawaiian style. Would definitely recommend stopping here especially if you are just finishing an ocean tour in the harbor. read more

Went to spinners today for the first time. Before we could get to the front door, someone came out and asked if my dog (registered service animal) was indeed an RSA, and if I had proof. A. I highly recommend the staff at Spinners cafe learn how the ADA laws work. It is illegal to ask someone for proof. B. Don't then take the proof (in this case, an ID card) and take it behind the counter then start declaring only animals that help someone eat are allowed inside (also illegal). I don't know if they expected my dog to be trained to hold my fork for me while I eat, but the staff very adamantly declared a tour was coming in so they didn't want my dog there. (Also illegal to refuse service.) Any business that treated a registered service animal and it's owner like Spinners Cafe did today can be slammed by fees/penalties per federal and state law. Highly recommend you don't come here expecting nice human beings to be working behind the counter. Good luck. read more

Ate breakfast here quite a few times. Parking is easy & the service was always quick & friendly. Order at the counter & take out style but they also have a cozy area to dine in. The loco moco is probably my fave loco moco on in Waianae- gravy is winnahz & generous portion. I love their giant pancakes with macnut sauce too. My kids love their fried rice & they're usually pretty picky eaters. read more

It is the only place in Waianae Boat Harbor with a giant Locomoco! For $12.95 and the can of Monster for $4.99 I pay over $18 bucks. WADR the rice was soggy, gravy and beef Patties had no favor but if you are stuck out here it's the only place you can get something to eat. Otherwise you will be starving. I've been here on a few different occasions. Each visit was great. Food is good, customer service is on par, and I have to say their prices are really reasonable. So, we use to LOVE this place... had great food... but the TERRIBLE customer service has just out weighed the good food! We went for breakfast today, twenty minutes after we ordered we were told they were out of hamburger patties... they were grilling some, I could see them... We opted for meatless LOCO MOCO... 45 minutes AFTER we had ordered we were asking for our money back because our food WAS still NOT ready... Sadly they are more focused on getting the "tour" meals prepped and out the door than the local customers. To make the bad service, and not getting breakfast even worse... they were receiving a food delivery when we pulled into parking lot... We did some stuff at the dive shop, walked our dogs, and then went in to order... the 45 minutes went by that we waited and the food that had been delivered sat in a pile on the floor... no one put anything in the cooler... it just sat in the hot kitchen... YUCKY! They were busy... but I am a firm believer that if your business is making money, put some of it back into your business and HIRE MORE PEOPLE! read more

My friend and I heard about Spinners Cafe and wanted to check it out for some breakfast. I called before we left her house just to make sure they're open (their hours aren't here on Yelp). Worker: Hello Me: Hi, I just wanted to know if you guys are open right now? Worker: Well I answered right? Me: Oh wow..... Okay. Worker: *hangs up* My friend was upset at how we were spoken to and called back requesting a manager. A worker named (spelling) Chantelle said the manager was off. My friend said she'd like to complain about how we were spoken to.. And if it was her. Chantelle said no and claimed it was another worker she just let on break (we literally called 30 seconds apart from the first time we were rudely spoken to) named Noe. I'm not sure what to believe but we will not be eating at this place, ever! Which I'm pretty bummed about because food looks great! First impressions are extremely important. Very glad we tried this place . The loco moco was one of the best ive had and I had a lot! Gravy was excellent with mushrooms and onions were grilled fresh ! The fried rice Iwas made fresh you could tell by the steam coming from the rice . I New it was going to be ono! I wasn't disappointed. Pancakes where nice and fluffy also very good. The food was solid but the extra star is given to them for their delicious macadamia nut sauce for their pancakes. AMAZEBALLS i will come back just for that. Wow, what a great find in Waianae. The menu is simple...not too many choices, but that's a good thing because you know everything you order is relatively fresh. The mac salad is definitely in the top 3 on the island in terms of texture and flavor...it's not just macaroni with mayonnaise. I ordered a daily special: mushroom chicken, with rice and Mac salad. It was very good (flavorful). Usually I just eat half a plate, but I stuffed myself because it was so good. The gal at the counter was very friendly as well. I'll definitely be back. read more

Spinners Cafe is delicious! I've tried: Kahlua pork tacos, bacon breakfast burrito and banana pancakes. I've loved everything. I order a short stack of the banana pancakes with bacon every time I go there now. The Mac Nut syrup is the bomb! Even my pancake hater boyfriend now orders these. The service is always quick and although not outwardly friendly always helpful. I've been greeted each time and even when the clerk is busy prepping and has herbs I turned she will tell me "I'll be right with you" The coffee is okay nothing special. But the do usually have half and half and French vanilla creamer. I like being able to choose. Place is clean although tables always seem a little sticky. Might be the Hawaii humidity because they always clean them promptly. What really gives this place an awesome review is there prices. I can easily go in and buy breakfast or lunch for 2 and spend $15. It's really hard to find a good deal like that on the island. Definitely coming back. read more

Amazing customer service with a smile. Pancakes were fluffy with fresh bananas, omelette was huge and very tasty and the garlic fries were onolicious. Very good, small spot to go to. My husband ate there before and had the loco moco. I went there today and tried it and it is definitely delicious! My daughter got the breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and a pancake. I asked for scrambled but I do not think she heard me and we got over easy. So my daughter did not eat the eggs but I just put it with the leftover loco moco. I also got the tuna sandwich to go. Pretty good, although I was hoping they had sprouts like someone else pictured on here! Prices are reasonable and you get big portions. Place is clean.
