This is such a fun place and they are serious about their dogs! You really need to be adventurous and try something new, and you just might find something surprising, like I did. The paradise on the prairie is fantastic. But what really surprised me is the PBJ dog! Who would have guessed? Delicious! The fries are spiraled and kind of thick, which is usually not my thing. These fries are so crispy on the outside with a soft inside. Incredibly delicious. When we went in, the owner greeted us and asked if we had been in before. We hadn't, so he gave us the low down on the menu. He checked in on us after we got our food, and gave us the backstory behind the restaurant. Great dude and the dogs are named after family members. Been here a couple times. Have not been in a long time. Hot dogs are on point. The deserts are really good as well. I would recommend sharing one rather than what we did but they were all good to try. We have tried 6 different dogs. They are cognizant of gluten free folks like my wife. Came by this place today and holy macaroni was it was packed and the wait was long but, boy was it worth it. I don't think the wait times today is a norm being they were understaffed and it seemed like 1/2 of Moore and Norman came to support them. So first things first. It's always good to find somewhere that makes a Chicago dog. I like that you have the option to pick a beef frank, polish sausage, or hot link. Now that I got my Chicago dog fix, I'll have to come back to try the other menu items. We were driving through Oklahoma City and googled the best family friendly lunch spots, and this looked interesting. It was about 25 minutes out of our way (i40) but so very worth it! The owner told us all about some new specials coming out and made some suggestions. We tried a wide variety of items and everyone (2 adults and 4 kids) enjoyed everything. We had one plain hotdog with ketchup and pickles, a meatball sub, loaded fries, a pasta kids meal (which came with honey bbq Fritos (spiral shaped!)) and three of their specialty hot dogs. The hot dogs were spiral cut which helped the toppings be in every bite and made the hot dogs easier to bite while keeping everything on the thick (Texas toast type) bun. After lunch the kids got specialty snow cups. They were huge and delicious. Both were vanilla ice cream topped with ice and then the flavor, whipped cream and cotton candy, the Big Top also had frosted animal cookies and blue lagoon had sour straws and a pixie stick. They were delicious and a huge hit. Everyone that walked in was treated like family, stories were shared and it was an overall wonderful experience. read more

The food here tastes decent but I don't think I'll return just because it's expensive. I had a hot dog with sauerkraut and mustard. I ordered the nacho thinking it would be the listed toppings in their spiral potatoes but it came on the spiral chili cheese frito type chips. Still tasted good, but not what I was wanting. Their spiral fries are pretty thick. I was hoping for the spiral sliced potatoes you get at the fair but this was thick and coated, not what I thought it would be and I didn't care for them. Food tasted okay but for 2 plain hot dogs, one sauerkraut dog and one chili dog, two fries, one nacho and one drink we spent almost fifty bucks. Mom and Pop Hot Dog Shop - This place is so divey and delicious! We'll be back again without a doubt. When we arrived, the owner gave us a run down of the menu and made suggestions. He told us how the dogs are named after his wife and kids. They have hot dog bowls that are out of this world tasty! The bowls have hot dogs, a ton of toppings, and fries at the bottom. He told us that customers have ordered their hot dogs like that and he decided to add bowls to the menu. The owner and his wife were very friendly. They made us feel welcome and appreciated. It's not every day you get service from the owner himself. He also told us they want to make sure that no one leaves hungry. He wasn't kidding. We are so happily stuffed full of hardy chili and hot dogs. One thing I really love is trying weird and strange foods. This spot hit the mark for sure. Absolutely amazing! My partner and I were greeted by the owner. He made sure to review the menu with us and answer all of our questions. We ordered the Grand Ann and Carter's Corn Dog; both with Polish Sausage. They were nice sized, juicy and flavorful! We also ordered the Mac Daddy and the Aly-Ooop bowl. Both were delicious and had well balanced sauce to pasta ratio. We were stuffed by this time and wanted to share a shaved ice to split. After paying under $7 for this dessert we were not expecting the sheer size of this. It was larger than we expected! We ordered the #2 (I can't recall the name) and wow-- so unique! Super eclectic menu and quality ingredients abound here. You can get as straight laced or as creative as you want with the menu. Either way you go about it, you'll have a great time. They have a great family atmosphere and the versatility will keep the pickiest and the adventurous eaters in your group plenty happy. They also have the most over the top snow cones I've ever seen anywhere. They treat them almost like a full dressed Bloody Mary.... but for a snow cone. Some have pixy stix, cotton candy, donut skewers, ice cream, peach rings, tons of chocolate and other accoutrement garnishing them. But back to the dogs. The spiral cut dogs really give the other ingredients they're dressed in the ability to shine and the hot dog acts like an umami protein vessel to carry it along. But the most impressive part here was the inclusion of the toasted brioche buns instead of a standard hot dog bun. That's the star of the show here. All that said, this is a family ran restaurant and you can see the immense pride they take in this place. I can't recommend it enough. read more

This place hasn't been open very long and it's kind of nice that it is a hotdog joint. The previous business before was a hotdog joint. Now I enjoy hotdogs so I wanted to try this place out. I got their version of a Chicago dog. It was kind of lackluster. I forgot to put the onions and sport peppers on it and the hotdog itself was mushy. The dog was spiral cut which didn't do anything to help the mushynesss. The bun didn't hold up very well. It was soft and a little buttery so that was nice. The bun is like the ones used for lobster rolls in Maine. They do offer polish sausages and hot links. I might try them if I go back. I usually like to give new places a couple tries. Let me start off by saying that this place came recommended and social media was blowing them up! I was in town visiting my husband at work and decided to stop by for a late lunch on my way back home. Now, I had my 10 month old son with me and he just had a bottle so I anticipated him being a good boy for mama. He's always a happy little chonk. The volume was still somewhat steady even at 2 PM, so I anticipated a little bit of a wait which is no big deal. After about 30 minutes, I'm thinking OK it shouldn't be too much longer. I did notice several larger tickets so again no big deal. After an hour, I can feel my eyes start to get heavy, and even Ms Rachel on YouTube wasn't doing enough to keep my child happy and calm anymore. At this point I'm trying not to get frustrated, but I'm ready to ask for a refund and go home. But I figured if I have already waited over an hour, I might as well get my food at least to-go. Plus I hadn't eaten yet, so I was hungry as hell. I want to clarify that my circumstance is not their problem. But for a single individual waiting over an hour for two hotdogs seems a little ridiculous and not really worth it like you thought it would be. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt, because the kitchen was quite small, and there were three employees collectively operating it and taking orders. I would presume that orders are made first-in-first-out because of this. Although, there was a tinge of disorder. **They would really benefit from some table flags or order numbers because the food runner was having some trouble finding the right guests.** If you've got a child or baby with you that's on a schedule, I wouldn't recommend coming here because both of y'all are going to be cranky-exhausted and ready for a nap by the end of it before you even get your food. But if you are riding solo or with a friend and you don't have anything going on the rest of the day, it might be worth your wait. I don't need the food to be excellent for it to be worth the wait; I just want my food and good service. Sadly, I don't think I'll make the trip for a second opinion. read more

Now im not no Keith Lee, but I'll be honest like he is. Ordered right at 3pm on the dot and didn't get my food till after 4pm. I got 2 of their specialty hot dogs, but didn't think it would take that long. Someone got up and asked for a refund because they had waited for over an hour. I will say the hotdog was good! Nothing special, but would definitely go back if they got a better system on getting the food out in a timely manner. They weren't ready for the influx of customers and I didn't see any urgency.
