I seriously dislike writing bar reviews but this one isn't good! My stomach hurts as I'm writing this from the cheese coney I got there earlier. It literally was like a bar s weiner ,on the cheapest bun they could find, the worst can chili they could find, old onions, and cheese. Did I mention it was barely warm?? I knew as I was eating it that I shouldn't have.. If a hot dog ,the most basic menu item can be this bad,how much better can the menu get. Nice people and I hate writing unpleasant things about a place I've come to since high school but truth is truth.

Pickles were over cooked "burnt" and tasted like old old oil, and pickles were cut paper thin slice, not recommended

A classic Norman establishment owned by the same family forever. Forget other drive ins. This one is the best. But get real for a bit, it's just a drive in. Too many reviews on here are expecting gourmet food. Weirdos! You go for the nostalgia, variety of drinks, good burgers, Cajun fries, and PICKLE-O's!!! It's the perfect place to go in the summer after hanging out at the pool and need a slushy cool down.

As a student 10+ years ago, I never tried Classic 50s. I had come back to Norman over the weekend and decided to try it. I figured if it was still in business all these years, that it should still be good right? Nope. I ordered a large Cajun Pickle-Os and a small pina colada slush. I was quite shocked by how the fried pickles looked and the small amount they gave for a large. I'm not sure if they gave me a regular size instead, but this was a large, then that's pretty disappointing and not worth the money. Not only did they not look good, they also didn't taste good. Some were burnt and they mostly tasted too greasy (like they were fried twice or more). The slush was good but was a little melted already. To be honest, I don't know if I will order any food from here again, but would try other slush flavors.

My buddy was taking me around Oklahoma and showing me some of his favorite places he used to eat at in Oklahoma. We wound up here at Classic 50's drive-in. I got the bacon cheeseburger, crinkled cut fries and pickel-o's. The burger was flavorful and the bacon on my burger was crispy. Also enjoyed the batter they used on the pickel-o's. I would for sure stop by here again if ever in the area only next time would ask them for less ice in my drink.

Need to hire more people, onion rings have great batter, but mushy inside. Great shakes. +10% on menu prices.

Also had an Elvis shake, it was good, but I thought the bacon was a little crispy. Otherwise I enjoyed this place to try. You'll like it. They get great service and a good ambience.

My father recommended this burger joint around the corner from his house. This place did not disappoint right out the gate.! Wait time at the front door was a little longer than typical but nothing you shouldn't be used to when going in at lunchtime. If you're mad, you have to wait you might wanna go somewhere else.. Anyway, I digress as we sit down I take a long look around and check everything out. Poor little spot or TVs everywhere. Good beer selection or great for that matter. The cocktail menu is just as epic but let me tell you right now. You're gonna wanna start your day with the fried deviled eggs and they shaved fried pickles. I know the shaved part probably throws you off but when I tell you right now, these were the best fried pickles over ever had.... As we move onto the burgers, my wife keeps it simplistic with getting your now when I say basic bacon cheeseburger that's selling it short it was fantastic seasoned and cooked perfectly! I decided I wanted to step on my game and try the heat wave. This burger was epic, super hot and everything. I wanted it to be.!! I got the onion rings for the side we also had a side of mac & cheese for our 15 month old. Both of them were fantastic. The onion rings were crispy and seasoned, and the mac & cheese was just as epic... I appreciate the excellent service as well as the recommendations we are so glad we got to experience this place. We love a great burger joint and that's definitely made a great trip. Thanks for a great afternoon.

I'd heard about Oklahoma's famous onion burgers for years, but somehow never managed to try one. With a conference taking place across the street, Tucker's gave me the perfect opportunity to finally check that box. I'll be honest--burgers usually aren't something I seek out unless there's something unique about them. This was different. The Oklahoma onion burger absolutely lived up to the hype. Simple, messy, flavorful, and a great example of a regional specialty done right. The staff was courteous, the service was quick, and my food was out before I knew it. In fact, it was so good I ended up tucking my tie into my shirt to keep it out of the way. If you look closely at my photo, you'll spot my tie bar sitting on the table after I surrendered to the inevitable. The napkin dispenser's warning--"You're going to need them"--turned out to be pretty accurate. No regrets at all. If I'm back in Norman, I'll happily stop in again. If you're visiting Oklahoma and want to try something that's actually part of the local food culture, Tucker's is worth the visit.

It's lacking the necessary fresh toppings and meats that give a proper sandwich flavor. Very disappointing. The place itself is void of atmosphere, boring, with nothing to draw you in. Their staff add nothing to the experience. Just blahh. Like fast food minus the customers and workers. The only draw? Booze...Oh, and their wings. They were cooked right -- crispy outside, tender inside -- and tasty tossed in that Golden BBQ sauce. Plus they are 50% off on Sundays. And yet the wings feel like an afterthought here, like they just needed one more thing to keep the fryers going. I just don't get this concept. So new and yet it's already a ghost town in here. And the few diners that do come in hover over their food with their head down, like they're ashamed to even be seen here. It's just not a social place, not bright or inviting..not fast..not friendly..And definitely not healthy. Me thinks Mark Cuban may be kissing off some investment money on this one.
