Five stars just for the fact that they have holographic anime stickers here. I've been wanting to buy some for my friends for Christmas but they're pretty pricey online when taking shipping into account. This shop has the same stickers I had my eyes on anyway plus more and I don't have to pay for shipping. Hoorah. They've also got other interesting anime stuff here but none that particularly caught my interest today. I'll definitely be back though, if only for the stickers.

It blew my mind considering she's a manager and should know better. I never allowed my associates or fellow shift lead/managers at my previous job talk the way she did. She was incredibly rude and it was the most aggressive a passive aggressive could get. The other workers seemed to be just as displeased with her behavior. Zumiez has always made me a bit nervous because workers are always up your rear, but to be up my rear and rude about it is insane. It's a shame you have people like her running the store.

After the event, in which my entire immediate family and I attended - were about to leave as event was over. Because I'd known Addie for a long time, and to me it was more like a party get together for Steiff lovers - I wanted to pay my respects and properly say bye. She was at the time behind a table with a line of 15+ ppl waiting to pay for their items. I had bought one item that day. I was one of the first in line to pay - but Addie asked me to wait, and my little sister was with me at the time as well - in line. Addie said she "had something for you and your sister.". My father was in a rush to leave - but I waited patiently. Addie then handed my sister and me 2 boxes. I replied, "Oh no Addie, I cannot pay for these right now - I cannot take them.". She then replied, "No-it's okay - take it.". To which point, I accepted them as gifts and profusely thanked her. I was shocked but exhilarated. I thought maybe this is being for a loyal customer the last several years, creating a Yelp review for her and always purchasing Steiff from her for gifts, etc. Little did I know this was a way of coercing me to buying 2 items I was not ready to purchase and did not come to purchase at event that day. Very sneaky trick, and sales greed at it's lowest form. Needless to say, I've cut all ties with this business. Really sad because now I have to go elsewhere for whatever Steiff related gifts I now purchase - it could've been all with her business, but her shadiness made it all sour.

The person focalizing the sorting/kit building area in back helped two in-person and one phone customer while I was there. She did her level best to find the pieces I needed, told me why odds of finding them were slim and suggested alternatives in the midst of the joyful chaos! I watched her help other folks too, and she was consistently kind and patient! She gave me background on the store's history and it explains a lot! Go in and ask! It'll make you want to go back! Her consideration was echoed by the younger person at the register when I finally bought the few things I'd found. And it even extended to folks like my son who are not Lego-obsessed, with a pleasant waiting area somewhat out of the melee! Admittedly Lego is pricy and Costco would be cheaper but for loose parts, well organized shopping areas , pre-owned and new sets and service beyond compare this is THE PLACE TO BE!!!!

At the very beginning of the conversation, I was asked about my availability. I explained that I am available Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays from 2 PM through closing because I attend church in the mornings. I also shared that I can work opening shifts on Fridays but would need to leave after 6 PM for Bible study. Almost immediately after clarifying that my Sunday mornings and Friday nights were connected to my faith, I was told they are looking for someone with completely open availability who can "make this job their whole entire life." I was then told, "this isn't going to work, so why don't we end it here?" The interview was over before it even started. What stood out was being told that school-related scheduling needs are considered, but faith-based commitments were not viewed the same way. Hearing that school-related commitments are accommodated but faith-based ones are not leaves an unsettling impression. Whether someone's availability is shaped by school or by church, it should not determine whether they are given the opportunity to be evaluated on their experience. Despite offering availability five days a week and bringing 10 years of experience in customer service, sales, and fast-paced environments, I was not asked a single question about my qualifications or skills before the conversation was cut short. Applicants deserve to be evaluated on their abilities and experience. Although uncomfortable, I remained polite and kept the conversation cordial to avoid unnecessary tension or escalation, not because the situation felt appropriate. Ending an interview before even discussing someone's experience immediately after they disclose faith-based commitments speaks for itself. California and federal law generally require employers to provide reasonable accommodation for sincerely held religious beliefs unless doing so would create an undue hardship. I hope this location carefully reviews how it handles conversations about religious availability moving forward. I also hope the company reviews its policies to ensure they align with state and federal employment protections. Applicants whose schedules revolve around school commitments may not encounter this issue as vocalized to me personally. But applicants who value their faith may want to ask very clear questions about how such scheduling requests are viewed before investing any time in their interview process. Overall, this experience was deeply disheartening, and based on it, I personally would not consider working for or shopping at this company again.

Each invitee got a $20 gift card to use toward anything in the store, and every purchase made that day also got 20% off! It was a great deal and my two dusghters LOVED it. They had us come before the mall opened, so all the little ones got to really enjoy having the store to themselves. The staff members working were so sweet, patient and helpful to our littles. They also were allowed to get their makeup done which included gems next to their eyes, sparkle hair spray and hair gems! I thought it was such a great idea for a girly girl who loves to shop or accessorize! After that we went to Red Robin for lunch, which is literally right across the way in the mall, so it was such a perfect birthday party. I highly recommend!

Ah the old swap meet located at the drive in theatre in Concord…read more I grew up around here and have countless memories of both. We went on a Sunday- $1.50 per person. Back in the day it was different, at least in my mind, it was more wholesome. People selling their goods or crafts. Almost immediately I was very aware that much of the stuff I was seeing for purchase was also the reason all of our stores now have everything locked up. Cleaners, laundry soap, odd assortments of random new stuff. There were still some decent vendors. I bought a few crystals. Keep in mind you can barter here. I also very much enjoyed talking to a regular vendor there that makes and sells these adorable Mexican cowboy boots and dresses. I am going to come back to get my granddaughter a cute little outfit. There were also some isles that were just piles of crap ran by some questionable seeming folks. I actually purchased one of my rocks from one of these sellers, I got it for a dollar because it was covered in something gross. It is awesome after I cleaned it up. Glad my husband went over and looked through that pile! I would absolutely come back just to wander most likely in summer. Oh and food trucks lining the outside are the way to go if your hungry although the theatre food was open too.
