It seems to be Hy-Vee on steroids as far as size and mass of merchandise choice. However, today, I want to compliment their Salad Bar. DD#1 and I were working out at Planet Fitness and our poor planning allowed both of us to neglect having anything to eat before our session, so we were pretty hungry by the time we walked out the door. It turns out Hy-Vee has a very well stocked Salad Bar. All the fruits and veggies were super fresh and there were an excellent selection of 'add-ons' and at least eight types of salads, such as pea salad, broccoli salad, potato, macaroni as well as several others. Protein sources were plentiful, as well, and included julienned ham, sliced grilled chicken breast, hard boiled eggs and more than one type of shredded cheese as well as red kidney and garbanzo beans. The only minor down side of our experience was that they had neglected to put more dinner size plates out after the lunch rush and, although, another diner pointed that out to a deli employee, no large plates ever appeared during the time we were there. Not a huge problem and I would definitely go to the salad bar again one of these days.

The furniture part was actually very beautiful and I enjoyed everything that they sold here. They had outstanding salt and pepper shakers that my wife was looking for! They have a whole aisle that is nothing but ramen and soup from various countries. They have a lot of assortments of grab and go drinks. Nothing's cold though or don't even expect freezer items too. They even have a great selection of patio furniture as well. Overall, I thought the store was very unique and interesting. Highly recommend checking out this store it's truly one of a kind.

My goal was to get a hostess gift and I was able to achieve that goal. They have a nice selection of candles in unique scents that are not overpowering. They have an International for section and a small wine and beer department. I picked up some place mats that will match my new table and desert (ginger cookies) for a holiday event. My cashier, Sabrina, was wonderful. Got me signed up for the generous loyalty program. Sabrina was also personable and I was not 'just another customer'.
