Went to Spiros last week for the first time and this is gonna become a new weekly regular spot for me and my friends. Loved the decor and atmosphere! As a Greek person myself i always appreciate authentic cuisines that reflect my heritage and Spiros met that mark. By far the best part of our experience was our bartender Christiana. She was inviting, helpful and went above and beyond to make the experience that much more enjoyable. We lost track of time while sitting at her bar because she was so intensive and personable. Spiro's has moved to Wellington. Located in the former Lutina's pizzeria on South Shore Blvd.. The restaurant is beautiful. They did an amazing job decorating it, and you truly feel transformed instantly. Service was great, although this literally was opening week. Food was terrific. My partner had a request of well done your meet and that was a little thick for her liking, but everything else was fantastic. They have a euro quesadilla which I opted for. Unique I liked it. The salad dressing on the Greek salad is phenomenal and a beautiful shade of pink. Yes somehow they made salad dressing look pretty. read more

We came here for lunch. We were told they've only been open for three weeks. The restaurant was fairly busy which is always a good sign. There were a lot of appealing items on the menu. We decided to each have the Greek lemon rice soup. It was served hot. We added a squeeze of a lemon wedge and some salt. It was a good starter. Then we shared their souvlaki platter. This was a good idea as the portion turned out to be really large. We chose salad (you could also have soup) and for our side, Greek lemon potatoes. They delivered the Greek salad first. It had romaine lettuce, red onions, grape tomatoes, black olives, pepperoncini, and feta cheese. The souvlaki (pork) was well done as requested. The plate also had soft pita wedges, a bit of salad, and a very good tzatziki sauce with dill which we used liberally. Our neighbors at the next table had a combo plate of moussaka, pasticchio, and spinach pie that looked good -- and was huge! Our server, Michael, who was actually the marketing manager filling in, did a very good job providing extra plates and special requests -- like lemon wedges (do this if you like more lemony soup or potatoes). Decided to try this new addition to my neighborhood restaurant options. The place was nice and clean...the service was on point but the food was wayyyyy too salty and the baklava tasted store bought....in my opinion not the best Greek food that I have tasted. I love Greek food and unfortunately this one is at the bottom of my list. I will try it again at some point giving them enough time to figure out the salt to food ratio. read more

A nice lunch today at this new eatery in Wellington. Open now for just three weeks, they do have a nice menu and a service oriented staff. We split a Souvlaki platter which came with a Greek salad and pita. We added a side of Lemon potato wedges. We each started with a bowl of the Greek Lemon rice soup which was good. Or server Daniel was helpful and Senior management was receptive to feedback. They should do well here! read more

Staff and service at Spiro's are warm and welcoming--they genuinely appreciate their customers, and their attention to detail really stands out. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with a nice bar area in the center that adds to the atmosphere. I had the gyro along with the orzo soup, and both were enjoyable. . read more

It was a great experience and love the atmosphere. We had the opportunity to meet Cristiana and she was lovely along with the owner Julia. They gave us some suggestions and we ordered the spinach pie and pork medallions. The food was delicious and tasty, well worth the visit. Was very excited to see Spiro's open so close to home. Until now, the only Greek style restaurants were Gyromania (casual Fast food style) and Chris's Taverna (always packed but food is meh). First off, they did s great job decorating this space: looks terrific. Service was extremely friendly and helpful with ordering. I started with the Lemon Chicken soup (I won't even begin to pronounce the Greek nsme) and it was delicious. Followed by the grilled Chicken Platter with lemon potatos, also very good. I don't understand the comment by a previous reviewer about the Tsidiki (sp?) because it was very light and delicious. It all a very good experience and I will be back. read more

We were a party of 12 for lunch. We all received our meals at the same time without any errors. Fantastic service and delicious food.

Terrible experience here on our first visit. We decided to give it a try even though we have our "go to" Greek restaurant when we feel like Greek food. It started with the waitress (older lady). She acted like she was under the influence of something...not sure what but everyone at the table agreed (even the party next to us noticed as well)! It was very bizarre. She then spilled a drink on someone at our table when she brought out the drinks. Accidents happen but there was NO apology and she acted like nothing even happened! What made matters worse is that the owner/manager (pretty sure he was the owner) was well aware of the situation and he did not say a word to us about it nor did he come over to ask if we needed anything or bring something to get the mess cleaned up. He could have come over, acknowledged it and handled the situation. But he chose to ignore what happened and just shook his head at the waitress. Very unprofessional! As for the food, mediocre at best. More of a "fast food" type food but in a nicer restaurant setting. They don't give you pita/tzatziki like other restaurants do and side salad was extremely watery. Needless to say we won't be returning. We will continue to give Chris's restaurant our business. read more

Perfect addition to the Wellington food scene. First visit yesterday was excellent. I've never been big on Greek food, but Spiro's Taverna definately opened my eyes. The Chicken Gyro was so delicious and overstuffed with flavor. The Grilled Chicken Plater was delicious. Definately try the Lemon Chicken Soup and Lemon potatoes. I can't wait to try the house made Baklava. The ambiance is bright and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The owner, Michael, was super friendly and very helpful. read more

We visited Spiro's Taverna on May 27 and unfortunately had one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. From the moment we were seated, our waitress seemed abrupt and out of it. She took our drink order and returned a few minutes later, but while serving the drinks she spilled an entire glass of iced tea all over my daughter. Accidents happen, but what was shocking was that she never apologized. She turned to walk away, apparently to get something to help clean up the mess, and then walked directly into a wall. At that point, another person in our party voiced what I had already been thinking since we sat down--that the waitress appeared impaired. She eventually returned with a few napkins, but there was still no apology. My husband went to speak with who we assumed was the owner or manager to ask if we could be moved from our flooded table. His response was equally disappointing. He simply looked over, shook his head, and showed little concern for what had just happened. He never came to our table, never checked on my daughter, and never offered an apology. The complete lack of customer service from both the waitress and management was unbelievable. Unfortunately, that was only the beginning. If you're expecting food comparable to Chris' Taverna, prepare to be disappointed. The atmosphere is pleasant, but the food felt more like fast-food Greek cuisine than the quality dining experience we expected. We also noticed that we weren't the only table having issues. The table next to us spent approximately 15 minutes trying to get the attention of both the waitress and the manager so they could pay their bill. Eventually, they gave up, left cash on the table, and walked out. The restaurant wasn't even busy, which makes me wonder how they would handle a full dining room. This experience was disappointing from start to finish. Between the poor service, lack of professionalism, indifferent management, and mediocre food, we have no reason to return. Lesson learned. We won't be back, and I suspect this restaurant may face the same fate as many others that have occupied this location before it. read more

I want to start this by saying I'm not one to bash a restaurant. The menu contained a mispronunciation of tzatziki, which at a greek establishment is concerning. that being said the tzatziki was also underwhelming, very little flavor. I ordered the marinated grilled chicken platter with lemon potatoes and rice pilaf. unfortunately, the chicken was bland and the vegetables in the rice were raw and crunchy. The lemon potatoes were probably the most disappointing, as they were extremely inauthentic and were basically just pan fried roasted potatoes, no lemon flavor whatsoever. my sister and her friend ordered the salmon with the sauté francese sauce. I was trying not to burst into laughter when they brought the plates to the table. It looked like someone had regurgitated all over the plates. i'm so sorry but this is my first negative review. i feel really bad but the food was also bad so i guess that evens it out. read more

Had a wonderful Sat lunch. We all chose the chicken gyro sandwich on pita. The plentiful chicken was nicely seasoned and served with tzatziki on a fluffy tasty pita. Overall 10/10 experience! We are local locals that have heard about this place and decided to walk in on a Sunday afternoon and give it a try. I'm someone that cooks every day and bakes so it's hard to be me when dining out. I am generally the one and done type unless it is worthy of adding to spots that we love. We walked in and the ambience and aesthetic was perfectly Greek and very clean. Delicious smells and great music softly playing overhead. The service was professional and fantastic. My husband and I both ordered the original lamb gyro that comes with a side. We chose the Greek salad which was paired with a delicious pale pink creamy dressing. Both portions were very nice and both items were fresh, robust with flavor and prepared to perfection. We ordered a chicken Gyro and salad as the side to go for our son. Our server was sure to follow all the details regarding his dairy free requests. We normally don't do dessert early in the day but with how great the experience was, we decided to try the baklava cheesecake and it did not disappoint.! We loved Spiro's and can't wait to go back!
