From the moment the valet greeted us I knew that this would be a great dining experience. As we entered the beautiful unique outdoor space, I thought that I was back in SoCal as the vibe was awesome. Seated immediately for our reservation, our waiter promptly greeted us & took Beverage requests. Started with a Hendricks Martini ($21) and bottle of sparkling water (unfortunately it's was domestic Mountain Valley & not Pellegrino) and surprisingly priced at $12. As we waited for drinks, we perused the menu. What caught my eye was the many great salads & different from the norm entrees. I started with the Leek Soup ($18) which was outstanding. Flavorful & Vibrant. Next we tried the Green Salad, ($23) perfectly named as it had many kinds of lettuce only. It was incredibly Fresh & served with a light vinaigrette. A large portion. I loved it. Others ordered the Beets & Goat cheese salad ($25) which was delicious as well. Our entrees were: A whole Branzino ($49 and plenty for 2 to share) which was beautifully roasted and served filleted with tail on. A large portion of perfectly sliced & cooked lamb chops ($52) Really good. We also had a side of local roasted baby carrots ($19) with greens still on. Pricey, but maybe the best tasting carrots I've ever had. We finished with one dessert recommendation from our waiter. Sticky Toffee pudding ($16) which was a soft moist tasty Bundt cake with a too small scoop of homemade pistachio ice cream. Good but not up to the standard of the other items we had this evening. Service: we had a perfect experience from our waiter & waitstaff. Incredibly professional and around when needed. Overall the food is really good and justifies the higher prices which in South Florida isn't usually the case. Upon leaving I told the owner/GM that this was the best restaurant I have eaten in 2026! Don't wait until you hear about it getting a Michelin star and go now. You heard it from this Foodie. The night started off weird as we had an issue with.the valet, but the manager quick responded to address it, assuring us it should not and would not happen again. We chose to sit inside as our friends suggested the main outdoor area can get very loud, making conversation difficult. Service was spotty, I had to ask for a glass of ice 3 times and he disappeared towards the end of the meal, as he got busy attending tables outside. It is a small menu with limited options. We started with the mussels and Mediterranean dip. It was very nice but served with a cold whole pita which everyone needs to touch and tear apart. I ordered the steak and frites ( substituting a salad over frites) which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Hubs and another had the flat iron chicken which was very moist, but charred which is not only carcinogenic but bitter in taste which I did not enjoy and would not have eaten. Our friend had the lamb chops which she ordered medium but they came rare but tasted good. We ordered the soufflé and affogato for dessert. The young lady drops off the small dish of vanilla ice cream with the soufflé but no espresso. The soufflé was cold and undercooked. It took awhile for our server to return, and he brought out the espresso which might have sat outside the whole time as it wasn't even hot...our waiter never returned, so we still ate it but it wasn't as good.. A few notes which took away from our experience was the service, cold/undercooked dishes, and the chicken entree lacking as they serve fries but no veggies unless you order carrots or cauliflower at $20? The vibe was great, felt like i was back in greece. Im shooting for a 4.5, the brushetta was fresh as well as the octupus but the bread was just air. Artistic but not enough to enjoy the plates with. It's a really bad business practice for a manager to call a customer and insult them, especially by saying that "no one else had any problems with the chicken." That kind of response is dismissive and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food itself was also disappointing. The meal arrived cold, the chicken had a gummy texture, and it was extremely salty. It was not enjoyable and felt poorly prepared. The restaurant is very pretty and has a nice atmosphere, which makes the experience even more frustrating. Sadly, the food leaves a lot to be desired, and the way feedback was handled only made the situation worse. I expected much better, both in food quality and customer service. read more

This word gets overused and underappreciated, but in one word this restaurant was amazing! We had made reservations (highly recommended) and came to dinner over the weekend with another couple. In all the years of dining out together, I've never known him to say that this was one of the best dining experiences that he'd had in a very long time. Especially since he is very picky and opinionated, but we love him dearly all the same. And all of us agreed that it was wonderful. The restaurant is located on the east side of Dixie Highway. Once you are seated in the open-air covered venue, you seem quite removed from the hustle of the street. There are ceiling fans throughout for cooling, but there was also a slight breeze. Even though we normally crave air conditioning, the inside area which is quite small is very unappealing. We didn't have that much of the menu, but what we did have we really liked. We were given rustic sour dough bread slices along with a black olive tapenade. The bread was addictive. And we took our leftovers home (they made great french toast for breakfast, btw). We enjoyed conversation and adult beverages while waiting for the rest of our food. We wound up sharing an heirloom tomato salad. We weren't planning on sharing, but it was a larger portion than expected and we all wanted to try it. The various tomatoes -- yellow, red, small red cherry -- along with some greens, a few black kalamata olives, a few pieces of hearts of palm, and a wedge of avocado were all bathed in a light vinaigrette. This was a very refreshing start to our meal. After the salad and bread, I had their wild prawns for my main dish. Four huge crustaceans with their shells and heads on. I used the grilled lemon half to douse the greens and prawns, then easily, but slowly, ate two of them with my sharp knife and fork. I took the other two home, as I wanted to save room for some dessert. Both the gentlemen had the mussels appetizer as their main. Each was a nice sized portion and came with a slice of that same sourdough bread. The guys thoroughly enjoyed not only the mussels, but the seasoned broth that had saffron, fennel and tomatoes in it. His wife had their burger. She'd requested it well done -- which she said it actually came cooked that way. Two thinner patties that were perfect along with a plethora of thin, crispy french fries. For dessert, we shared a warm chocolate souffle. We'd been advised by our waiter that it took about 15 minutes to prepare, so we'd ordered one mid-entree. It came out nicely puffed. Another server sprinkled the top with powdered sugar and proceeded to gently break the top crust. She poured some of the creme anglaise from a tiny pitcher over the top. If you like chocolate, this is the dessert for you. Even though they were quite busy, we were able to have a leisurely dinner and never felt rushed. We had excellent service from Adrian who handled all our questions and special requests with grace and patience. The complimentary valet parking was quite convenient. And yes, I want to go back here very soon. Put on your nicest sun dress or fancy Hawaiian shirt and enjoy rubbing shoulders with the "in crowd". Awesome new spot in WPB on Dixie Ave. The place was jamming when we arrived on Friday evening in January. It looks a bit like a pop up as it's basically outdoors on a parking lot, but hey, I am all in! We started off with a few cocktails at the bar while we waited for our 8pm reservation. Everyone was dressed to the 9s and it was busier than August in Montauk (think same crowd too). For food, we went with the caviar dish (very good), the grilled halloumi (a favorite), the heirloom tomato salad (very light and healthy), the main lobster spaghetti (good, mine came out a little warm, not hot. Lobster itself was okay), lamb chops (crowd pleaser), and chocolate ganache dessert for a friend's birthday (delicious). It was a chilly night, so they had a bunch of heat lamps on, which was a nice touch. It does look like it was built on an empty parking lot, which was different, but hey, it's working! Just not understanding the popularity of this restaurant, not at all. Before stating the negatives, there are several good factors of The Blue Door and they include: Easy valet parking, fantastic service from all staff and a nice laid back vibe but I went for the food and it was not very good. We had a few appetizers and while the Mediterranean Dip was plated nicely it was average and not much more and even the Pita Bread wasn't very good. The real disappointment was with the main courses and with such a small menu I was surprised that both of the entree's we ordered were lackluster. Spaghetti with Clams had a stingy amount of pasta with a forgettable sauce and even with the small portion size I didn't bother eating much. The really bad dish of the night was the Flat Iron Half Chicken and it might sound a little dull but it tasted worse and it's like the cooks forgot to include flavor and it was also tough. The best item I tried was a poorly presented chocolate with ice cream dessert and plating aside it was excellent. This is a nice restaurant for a drink and dessert and not much more. read more

One of the best meals I've had in West Palm Beach. I am shocked that this place isn't more highly rated. It was so amazing. I recommend sharing everything. Our favorite dishes: - branzino -- must get! it was unreal - tuna carpaccio -- massive and delicious - buratta -- the tomatoes in this dish were unreal and I'm so glad I saved some bread for it! A beautiful and unpretentious restaurant hides behind this blue door, aptly named. You can't go to a Mediterranean restaurant and not order seafood , so seafood it was from start to finish. We tried the tuna carpaccio, shrimp escabeche, grilled octopus, mussels and branzino. My favorites were the octopus , mussels and branzino. The mussels portion was generous, enough to share between 2, when usually I am used to ordering this same dish and getting a handful of mussels with bread. I must do a better job of noting what wines I order with my meal to better serve fellow yelpers, but I can say we had an excellent white wine to pair with our meal. Service was good, but not especially noteworthy. Prices are $$$. But when you're valet parking your car next to Porsches and Maseratis, you know it's probably not going to be a hole in the wall kinda place. I'd give it five stars but for one complaint: Measured Pours. When you're paying Palm Beach prices, the pour should be better than "measured." They are already making a profit with the markup. We will probably avoid going back since there are dozens of great choices that don't have this flaw. read more

Came in with my girlfriends for a night out. I do love the blue door concept and the beauty of the restaurant when you walk through. It's an open area with a lot of light tones which gives it a sleek look. We sat on the patio area in the back which gave us some sense of privacy. The server was very sweet and accommodating. He seemed to have helping hands throughout the night, from dropping food to clearing the table. However my rating is based mostly on the food which we felt showed well but tasted mediocre. We got the hen of the woods, snapper crudo, heirloom tomato salad, smoked potatoes, Brussels, half chicken, lamb chops and the bronzino. The crudo paired well with the grapefruit but think it would have been better in smaller slices of fish instead of rolled up chunks. Hen of the woods is basically a fried type of mushroom which was unique but nothing to rave over. The half chicken was literally half a chicken pounded out which was tasteful in flavor and had a nice char but probably best dish to split with others cause you just get sick of the chicken a few bites in. I had the lamb chops which everyone at the table thought was the best choice but they were just plain in flavor compared to other restaurants I've dined at so I didn't think much of them. A round of our spicy tequila drinks came out without the peppers having no spice so we had to send them back to get fixed. The bartender or the server should have noticed this before dropping the round. Chicken dishes got dropped without the fries which took a while of us seeing the server to even mention that they didn't get dropped for him to correct the issue. The food runners should have dropped the fries with the dish or shortly after. We ordered desserts one of which being the pear crumble after hearing about it being warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. However the dessert came without the ice cream then after waiting for it the server came back and said they were out of vanilla but we could get another flavor. Told him to bring whatever flavor. After waiting for what seemed to be a long time the manager then came by to tell us their freezer was out and there was no ice cream for the night. At this point she comped the pear crumble but we wish we knew before we ordered it. We would have opted for another choice. Place is nice, service was good but I feel like with so many hands on deck they need to work out some kinks. I felt like all dishes are $5 higher than what they should be for quality of food. Becoming a favorite spot for me! The food is very good. The branzino is incredible. Same with the gnocchi. Snapper crudo is great. Hen of the woods mushrooms are also great. Wasn't impressed by the grilled halloumi though. The wine selection is awesome... tons of Italian and French wines. They even have orange wine! We had a bottle of the La Chiazza (Tuscan red blend) -- loved it. Would like to see some more variety with the cocktails. Driving along Dixie Highway you think you must be lost but there in the distance is this amazing restaurant. The space is beautiful and was packed this past Friday evening for good reason. The service was stalling a little which is expected from a restaurant that recently opened. The manager and some of the other waitstaff are knowledgeable about the menu and the produce. The food was certainly outstanding with its freshness, however it lacked a little something. A lot of the dishes incorporate mint, but the leaves are just placed on top rather than being incorporated into the food further with possibly a mint sauce for the brussel sprouts. The octopus had a strong charred flavor which is great but overpowering in this execution. The tomato salad needs a lemon zest to give it a pop. The space has a European layout with coastal vibes. The music is perfect. Only note is that the outside area closer to the tall wall of bushes could use some heaters as it is a little chilly at this time, and some additional lighting in the form of string lights maybe. read more

I've been thinking about trying this restaurant for a while and tonight I did and I'm very glad that we did. I must say it's very unique. The blue door is a blue door and you go inside and it's all like dining alfresco as soon as you walked in the hostess was very inviting and nice. We had a nice table in the outside area really most of it is in the outside area. The waiter Carlos was excellent he answered all our questions served us so well that we were pleasantly surprised of the special services cleaning the table off putting new forks knives, one after each meal always available if we needed anything !!the sourdough bread which is made in house was outstanding. I had the halloumi it was delicious. You can't usually get it in a lot of places so I had to make sure that I had it and it was even better than I thought The pear and fennel salad was delicious and the flat iron half of chicken was really good and tasty great spices We also had the scallops with lentil which was really good three large scallops. They have valet parking. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other things on the menu, this is a small menu a unique menu. Make sure you read all the things they have because it's not usual normal type of food. Everything is spic nicely Even the hamburger was more exciting than usual. This place should be called Morton's. Not because it's a part of the steakhouse chain. It's because salt seems to be the primary ingredient in every dish. I don't want to seem salty, but who the heck was checking potassium levels coming out of that kitchen? The salad with pear and fennel? Obliterated by salt. Branzino? Salt. Gnocchi? Salt. Mac and Cheese? Salt and sugar. Ambience was nice. Most of the restaurant is outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Not salty at all. Bar was great. (Thankfully had no salt.) We all got sick as dogs. the morning after our visit. We shared one plate. Possibly the snapper crudo, the least salty item that we had. Even beyond the poor and possibly putrid prep, nothing that we tried really shined. Great look. Scrap the kitchen. Send chef Sodium Sal, in the back, to Hypertension Anonymous, and start over. The Island crowd has taken to it. It will likely succeed. When blessed by the Bahhhhs (Sheeple) in Bentleys, does it really matter what you serve? The Blue Door, to me, is more like an invitation into a culinary Stephen King moment than to a welcome hang. Won't be back. read more

I wrote my first review about The Blue Door 3 months ago and I'm pleased to report that it's as outstanding as it was the first time we dined there. We have enjoyed no less than 10 meals there with a variety of friends and everyone always leaves there sated and happy. Even my service dog Bones receives the royal treatment from Tamara and her staff and gives The Blue Door his paws up. The people watching is superb, and you never know who you will spot sitting quietly in a corner watching you. Until you find out it's a girl from high school you haven't seen in over 40 years! An impromptu dinner with friends on a Saturday night lead us to an early reservation at The Blue Door. It is a very cool space with fully covered outdoor seating so you can really enjoy the Florida weather without fear of sun or rain. Our server was very friendly and made great recommendations Off the menu as far as dishes and amount of food needed. We started with the steak tartar and snapper pate. Both were beautifully seasoned, light and elegant. The greens salad is huge and must be shared. It had bright vinaigrette. The burger was disappointing. It was two, thin, smash style patties which were dry and the toppings were not very flavorful. The chanterelle special was nice with the sheep's cheese and watercress and adding that to the top of the burger did help a lot. The flat iron chicken was juicy and tender and everyone at the table agreed it did not need more butter on top as the menu specified (we got the butter on the side). Sober scallops with lentils were quite good and the boys enjoyed the creamed spinach. Chocolate soufflé was on point definitely order that! Wine selection was decent, beer offerings were short but they have a well stocked bar. read more

Service was great and drinks were okay as well. Unfortunately our steak was overcooked to the maximum. Everything was EXTREMELY salty.
