Came for date night, ordered sm pizza & a hot sandwich. We could not get a beer due to no "assigned pourer", meaning no one aged 21. We saw so many people come & go, great, happy for business prosperity. Ate our salad, that was pre-made in a plastic to go box. Not what we expect for in house service. We waited 25 minutes then asked about our order. Told the pizza just went in the oven & it would be 6 more minutes. 40 minutes from ordering we get told our 2 items are ready. Now I am super hungry, and disappointment sets in hard! Bland, bland bland! Really no flavor for either the pepperoni pizza or the chicken parm. Terrible. This is supposed to be "the best place"? Five stars for a pizza joint? And one that is really sort of a dive-hole-in-the-wall in an out of the way podunk town? OK, that is harsh. It IS in the small town. And it IS sort of dive looking. That only accentuates the contrast with the pizza, which is sublime. From the crust to the topping, each bite is like taking a quick trip to Little Italy in (you name the city), USA. If you're passing by Spitony's, keep going. The place is run by kids who aren't managed by anyone. No leadership, no one taking charge. Called in a carryout order, told them I was there, they told me my order number and said it wasn't ready yet, so I waited. After almost 20 minutes of standing there, I asked if my order was ready. Turns out it was there the whole time. At 5,10, or 15 min in, no one asked me what I was waiting for. No one offered to check on my order. Kids more interested in shooting the breeze than providing customer service. A poorly managed restaurant. And to top it off they got my order wrong. Not going back and do yourself a favor, when you see the sign, just keep going. Gainseville is just a few minutes up the road and much better offerings. read more

I'm done. I've been here twice and have lived in Warrenton for about 21 years now. First time subs were gristly. 4 years later, today I try pizza again. Flavor was ok. It was just doughy crust. I was so dissapointed. I like thinner crust with a bit of crunch. I don't know how they have all these stars. The only thing I like was the young man who took my order. He was a sweetie. Backstory: I used to work at Pete's Park n Eat in high school and my go to pizza was a Pete's special with onions (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers.) I still order it in that order. But alas, Pete retired. He deserved it. Anyhow, my pizza go to was in a quandary. Wanting to support small local business, I gave Spitony a try and much like Katy Perry, I liked it! The mark of a good slice, to me, if you can eat it cold. Spitonys does. They also offer spinach as a topping, which I like. I do wish the apps where made in house, especially the fried mushrooms. It's painfully average pizza but c'est la vie, if you want pizza this is a place that will give you a pizza. We got two pizzas and quite frankly it seemed a bit expensive for what we got. The pricing of the toppings are really expensive even though the base pie may be cheap. The sauce and cheese are fine and the crust is quite average. This was was our second time ordering their pizza. The white pizza was yummy and the pepperoni and the everything pizza weren't bad either.

Love the look and feel of the place. Definitely reminiscent of an old school NYC pizzeria. However, the pizza was not the best. To be specific, there's a lingering tart aspect to the sauce which overwhelms everything else. The dough was not bad at all, a bit flakey if that makes sense. A little dive on the main drag of "New Baltimore" We used to go often when we lived in Haymarket. The pizza is still just as good as I remembered. Fresh - we watched them make it. Read the reviews and decided to give Spitony's a try with a friend of mine (we love trying new places together). We each got a pocket pizza (like a calzone) and I splurged on the Jalapeño Poppers with a delicious berry sauce. When our order arrived at the table we were chatting but our conversation was totally derailed when we took those first bites. We looked silently at each other as if to say "Does yours taste as incredible as mine?" We were both impressed to say the least. And the prices are quite reasonable. Plenty of parking, and you can eat outside at a picnic table or inside. 3. It is 5 mins from church...and we leave right at 12, so we're always starved for lunch at Spitony's. (Detracts from the sermon a little when I get wrapped up in the decision making process: Oh noes! Pizza? Sub? Pizza? Sub?) 4. I'm originally from Philly, i.e., I KNOW my pizza and subs.
