We stopped by Spitz in Prosper, right across from Prosper High School on Frontier, on a weeknight and were pleasantly surprised by how lively it was. The place has really colorful, fun décor and a relaxed vibe that makes it feel welcoming right when you walk in. They had great music playing and the atmosphere was comfortable with plenty of seating options -- booths, tables, and space for families who were clearly enjoying dinner together. One thing I really liked about Spitz is the variety of fresh Mediterranean offerings, from gyros and wraps to hearty salads and bowls. It's also great that almost everything can be customized to be vegetarian or vegan, which makes it a great option for different dietary preferences. I ordered one of their salads and it was fantastic -- packed with quinoa, chicken, cabbage, corn, pickled onions, and cucumber. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and the combination of textures and flavors was delicious. My fiancé ordered the Mediterranean wrap with beef and lamb. He was a little hesitant at first since Mediterranean food isn't something he usually orders, but he ended up really enjoying it. Even though it was a weeknight, the restaurant was pretty busy with families and had a great neighborhood feel. We were nearby for a family little league game and thought we'd stop in. Very good! The service was fast and friendly. The food was very tasty. Giant portions, enough for lunch the next day. Get the quinoa salad as a side, very good! My one complaint is that the wrap I got was hard to unwrap from the waxed paper, it really stuck to the grill mark spots and smelled like a burt candle. I usually go to the Spitz location in Frisco, however I've been here a couple of times and the quality and consistency is just as good. When I asked they said they're connected in ownership to that location. The service is always good. They're very patient when you're ordering and welcoming. I'm a regular to Spitz so I have my go to orders. I get the Spitz Gyro with mixed meat which is chicken and gyro meat..this is very tasty all the ingredients come to together well. I get my wife the Berliner Bowl, which she loves and says is always fresh and flavorful. I recently tried the full pound of wings. Imthe wings were plentiful and friends perfectly. They were tasty and a good sized portion. Spitz is definitely worth being put into rotation especially if you're into healthier meals they have those options. read more

I'm assuming it's for the meat, but the vegetarian option isn't much cheaper. For myself and my child our total was $35 for a combo meal and a kids meal. For my meal I got the treet Cart Doner Wrap Combo Meal with lamb/beer - $23.00 Garlic aioli, fried lavash chips, romaine, cabbage, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber, and tzatziki + SIDE + DRINK My child got the Kids Lavash Wrap Meal with lamb/beef and sweet potato fries $8.40 (average price for a kids meal! ) A simple kid-sized lavash wrap (meat wrapped up), kid-sized side, and juice box. We came on a weekday night so the place was quiet but still had 2-3 tables occupied. My sister and I shared a Street Cart Doner Wrap Combo Meal, and it was enough for 2 people! They really piled the fries high, and the dip that came paired well with it. I loved how crispy it was! While the wrap was very flavorful, I was a bit overwhelmed with all the flavor profiles. I felt like some stuff overpowered the beef and lamb that I couldn't really appreciate it. We paid $24 total with the meal and tip, and that was more than most places for just one meal! It's the garlic aioli that made everything taste really good the only thing is that the Spitz Gyro is a bit on the higher sodium side. It wasn't salty but it was where it had the tanginess and salt made you needing water after every bite. The fries are really crispy and fluffy. The fries err on the thinner side.
