I used to go here years ago for the self -wash. It wasn't ok back then. Then I came here last year for the automated car wash. That was just okay. I wasn't satisfied because my car wasn't fully dry. Tried to go thru the drying part slow to get all the water off, but I guess its on a timer so it stopped and I didn't have any towels with me to finish drying it off. What a waste... So today I call myself saving a few $ and getting a little exercise by washing my own car. First the change machine only accepts 1$ bills, not 5's and 10's as posted... that was the start of project rip-off, luckily I had 4 singles... So they must have called themselves upgrading and putting a new operating machine in each stall. Well it is actually a little further away from the hose and brush that you need to use. Which means more of your time going to change the various settings. , like from scrub to rinse. That was the next part of project rip-off. So I wash my car, using all $4 in change. Normally I would get quarters to extend more time, but bcuz the machine is further and it seemed like the hose was a little shorter(less movement/flexibility), time was definitely an issue. So I see there is a credit card machine attached. So I'm like I'll pay another $3 - $4 to finish rinsing off my car. 3 something is the only price listed. Swipe my card, takes less than 3 minutes to finish and I end up with a $10 charge on my debit/credit card.... WTF??? What a rip-off A few more $ and I could have went to my place to get a hand washing and vacuum. Learned my lesson. I guess that's what I get for cheating on my normal car wash...

The windows were incredibly streaky which didn't show up until I drive away and the sun came out. I've had to take it back the last 2 times that they have washed it so I am done with Splash Update: after voicing my concerns management at Splash Car Wash reached out to me to address the issues. I was told that they would speak with the manager at the Shelton location. I was given a free wash coupon in an effort to make the situation right. I am happy to say that I did try this location again and the results were very good. They vacuumed so thoroughly that they found a missing umbrella and ear cuffs that I had lost at some point in time. The car was cleaned well inside and out! There were a couple of very minor streaks on the windshield that I cleaned with a paper towel later when I noticed them. I am happy that the company is responsive to customer issues and that they make necessary changes to improve the quality of their service. I am a Splash customer once again!

I rolled my window down while he was walking around practically hand washing BEFORE I drove through. I needed to tell him it was the best service I'd ever had there.... He actually asked me to drive through again to remove a tiny bit of residual dirt he spotted. My car is spotless. Great customer service! I will be back!
