CASH ONLY! Went and got my haircut here today. I also came here once 5 years ago, and loved it then too. This shop is owned by a couple team. I believe they are Chinese speaking - Cantonese and Mandarin - but I could be wrong. That's just what I heard them listening to haha. If you're a quieter person like myself, you'll enjoy the limited conversation and no-frills cut that this salon offers. I asked to remove 2-3 inches and he did a great job. I came in with my hair frazzled and a little oily looking after walking there from the Target on Hesperian. Some shops would have commented on this, but I felt no judgement whatsoever. I also have light chronic dandruff and a sunburnt scalp, and again no judgmental comments about this which I was so grateful for. I didn't realize this place was cash only, so when I asked if I could wait while someone came to drop off the money, they were very sweet and understanding. I am so so happy with my new cut! I specifically said that I wanted to even out my layers and cut evenly around and get rid of my dead ends and keep it all one length. Paul did exactly that and his wife is so nice and helpful. I will definitely come back for my root touch up. I'm glad I took a chance here and I can see why they have been around for 20 years. They paid so much attention to the details and kept making sure it was how I liked it by showing me the mirror in the back. Very happy that I was able to find this business as the location is perfect, the owners are friendly, and there is decent/safe parking in the back (however, I missed that 1st time and parked in the one spot in the front instead) Many other locations around the area were either a lot more expensive, closed on a Sunday/shortened hours or both! The pricing here is reasonable, as you can find cheaper but the quality of the business location or the haircut might be far worse (you get what you pay for) I don't need much as far as a haircut ‍ and I'm not too picky but I do want to be able to trust that I can get a decent haircut without worrying, thinking or spending too much time micromanaging the person on how to cut my hair for a simple haircut. This place wasn't where I would've found or picked it out through Yelp as it's a bit hidden and the pics on Yelp don't help highlight how the location is confidently nearby a Target and on a less busy street than say Hesperian. read more

He talks less and cuts your hair per your requirements. He would also suggest you appropriate hairstyles per your face-cut. I like to call him as a celebrity hair-designer. My friend introduced me to Hair Expression. Two people worked there when I visit, which I think they were couple. The husband helped me, and I thought he was very professional and polite. The haircut was very nice and pleasing. The mood inside the salon is very relaxing too. The only down side of this salon is its location. It's pretty hard to find this place and there weren't many parking option. I don't think I would ever find this place if my friend didn't tell me about it. Paul & Hera have been running Hair Expressions for years at this location. They are very trustworthy, kind and honest people. There is ample parking and enough space to accommodate a wait of people (and this place is popular so do expect at least one or two other patrons). Safe for kids. They do all kinds of hairstyles but also know how to pay attention to your face and head type. They won't do something that they know will look bad, and whatever you want that could work they will make work as best as possible. They are very talented and have a reputation for giving the best cuts in town for a reason: these people really know what they're doing. I've been going here for years. Paul and Hera are so nice and they always do a great job with my hair. I have thick, voluminous Asian hair and I've been going to them since seventh grade! They never do me wrong. Usually it's best to call in ahead of time to see if they're free because they have a lot of walk-ins. I get my hair cut once or twice a year, and this is the only place I've gone back to multiple times. My hair is just long and unlayered, so there's not really anything going on there, but Paul somehow makes my hair look really nice and layered/styled. I usually hate getting hair cuts because I have to adjust some pieces of hair when I get home. True Hair Expressions is a on-line site that sells indian/brazilian hair. I purchase a bundle a few months back and I'm totally disappointed with the quality of hair. Since day one when my hair was installed it has been shedding nonstop. Every time I comb it, it sheds. Even when the hair is wrapped and I comb it out it shed's. I have never been so miserable when it comes to hair weaves. There is hair all over my entire house just from shedding. The hair is also dry looking and doesn't curl great. I should have know there was a problem when the seller text me the night after we met telling me to inform her of how my hair turned out. The next day she text me all day asking if I was finished with the process of the hair being installed I told her no. She replied by saying text me when your done and let me know what you think. I text her and let her know the quality wasn't so great, I mean the hair just came out the pack and wouldn't curl, it also had a long hard strand that looked like some kind of fiber. She informed me that, that particular hair will be DISCONTINUED! AND OFFER ME many discounts on my next purchase! I will not be using their product anymore! Buyer BEWARE! WOW! Anyway! NIGHTMARE!
