They are so personable and loving, they allow you to watch what they are doing and let you know exactly what is going on through the process. The first time we went my Toby had been injured on his paw and it was broken; they set it and gave me instructions on how to take care of him and to contact my vet for follow up. The next and last time I took him in the middle of the night they found a mass in his lower spine, and we had to euthanize him so he wouldn't suffer. We still don't know why she didn't want to eat or anything not by the fault of the hospital or anything. Our dog is just a mystery. We had a follow up and liver enzymes had decreased which was a good sign. Our dog is still with us but not sure for how much longer since she is a senior dog who still refuses to eat her kidney food. But we are doing what we can but we are happy with the way our dog was treated here. Everyone was very nice and attentive and answered all of our questions.

I told her to stop petting my dogs wound Because she had just been attacked by another dog. The assistant manager didn't seem to care why my dog needed help, she cared more about her feelings ( both my dog and I were traumatized after the attack) than my dogs severe and serious injuries. Instead, I trusted my instincts and took him to my regular vet. With proper care and Lasix, my boy is alive and thriving. I'll never forget when the ER doctor looked me in the eye and said, "As his doctor, it's my job to advocate for him." No -- I'm his mom. I raised him from a kitten. If anyone is going to advocate for him, it's me. And thank God I did. When I left my first review, the Medical Director responded saying he couldn't find me in their system. I find that hard to believe since I once paid over $5,000 at this same facility for another pet's hospitalization. There are good, kind people who work here -- I've met them. But readers should know this facility isn't an independent practice. Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is backed by large investment firms, including private-equity and hedge-fund-style investors. That kind of backing often prioritizes profit over pets, which shows in the way care decisions are presented. Please, don't let anyone pressure you into a rushed decision, especially euthanasia.
