I've been here twice this week. The first time was for the airbag recall. It was my first time here and it was great. I had an early appt and drove up into the service garage and was greeted by smiling faces. I was first greeted by Gary whose energy is very warm and positive and then Ernest who assisted me with getting checked in. I waited about an hour and half for this service which is what Ernest projected and they finished within that time frame. Not only that, they did not try to tell me other things were wrong with me car, they just fixed what I came there for. Perfect! My second appointment was for fixing my driver side door lock which had been giving me trouble for months on my 2003 Civic (my key would not work on the outside of my door). I had ignored it for months, reaching in to unlock the driver side door from the passenger side. With winter coming I decided to stop procrastinating. This visit was slightly longer, a little over 2 hours, but once again I was greeted by Gary who remembered me from a couple days earlier, and another gentleman, Jeff/Geoff, who was equally as nice and friendly. Jack assisted me with getting checked in which was super nice while Ernest was busy with another customer. Luckily I brought magazines, my own snacks and water while waiting (vending machines and free coffee are available). This time, I decided to sit in the quiet waiting area no TV (which is a lot brighter and more spacious than the other waiting area with the TV) and found an electric outlet to charge up my phone. My only suggestion is that they attach electric outlet strips to the few wall outlets so other customers can plug in while sitting nearby. Other than that, my experience on the servicing side was fine. Since it was pouring rain out, my car was waiting for me inside. So glad I didn't have to pull out my umbrella when I arrived and when I left. When I arrived I must say kudos to Gary who assisted an older lady in the rain by walking her to her car with a large umbrella and still insisted in helping her when she said she was fine walking in the rain. Good to see chivalry isn't dead. I know dealerships can get pricey when it comes to getting work done on your car, but I found them to be fair in price (which I kindly negotiated) and the customer service was awesome. They fixed my door lock + actuator, not adding anything else unrelated to my door, so thank you for that. This was the first time ever that I brought my car to get repaired without a person telling me there were more things wrong with my car. This was the easiest process when it came to buying a new Honda Civic. I'm the type of person that lives and dies off of Amazon so having to spend the time to visit multiple dealerships and haggling the price with salesmen/women was the last thing I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted another Honda Civic (since my previous car was one and last 12 years) so I communicated with this store and a few others entirely by email. Other dealers were stiff with their prices and I had to negotiate the price of a new car whereas Sport Honda started out at a lower price and would match anyone that could beat them. I'm writing a review solely based on service. After arriving, I was standing in front of the guy who I made the appointment with to stop doing paperwork and acknowledge my presence. After 7 mins, he finally greeted me. Gave my car to have it inspected. I waited in the waiting room for over 2 hours. Way too long for just a simple check up and check engine light diagnosis. The guy came back and told me what the deal was and I told him to go ahead and fix it. It took another 2 hours. Well, there goes my whole day right there! The guy was actually really nice and was able to get the quoted price down by a little. Overall, not bad experience. The time it took for everything is unexceptable. C'mon guys! This weekend Little Sister and I purchased a Civic EX and CR-V EX, respectively. Shout out to Brandon Smith who comes across as a direct and genuine salesdude. Sis and I are very satisfied with our purchases, but while I do believe that sales people and dealerships are responsible for respecting your time and making the process smooth, it is the customer's responsibility to get the best price. Ultimately the satisfaction with your purchase lies with you! We spent all President's Day weekend at the Autopark, test-driving Hondas, Mazdas, Fords, Toyotas (off Cherry Hill Road), and Nissans. When we arrived on Saturday, we were greeted promptly by Andrew then Brandon Smith came up to us about 90 seconds later. After the unaccompanied test-drive, Brandon informed me about the temporary deals on the CR-V, and was very eager to sell me one, asking 'what will it take for you to take one home today?' I laughed and honestly answered "Nothing!" I don't make any large purchases on the first day. He relaxed a bit and reminded me that the specials were for President's weekend only (duh!). We spent about 45 minutes there test-driving and gathering info. We returned on Sunday to test drive the Civic. Phil another salesman, retrieved our test car quickly and was very friendly. We spent only 20-30 minutes there that day. Monday was the day of reckoning. After calling three other dealers, and calling Brandon repeatedly to let him know my sister was torn between the Sentra and the Civic, he assured us he could go down a few hundred dollars to tip us towards Honda. At my request, Brandon gave us another $100. NOTE: Sport Honda's initial quotes for the CRV were the lowest among Herson's on 355, Germantown Criswell, Bethesda Ourisman, and College Park Honda. Sport's initial price on Civics were the second lowest. Also Sport's dealer fees are $189.00 versus the average area standard of $200.00. Unfortunately, my sister spent about seven hours at Sport on Monday closing the Civic deal, waiting for finance and getting her spare keys. GEEZ! Not sure why-- lack of staff, they kept forgetting about her...? As for the CR-V deal, I was trading a 2007 Accord EX. The initial trade-in quote from Sport was on par with Carmax at $6000, but $2000 less than Ourisman Honda. The condition of my car was average: I have a few door and bumper dents due to my inability to navigate parking garage spaces, but no structural or electrical issues. This is when the quibbling began. After one hour and three walk-out threats they increased the trade-in quote by $850 (which I still think was too low), and reduced the CR-V price another $200 (reasonable). In the end, I was satisfied. But I do wish they would have taken me seriously without me having to almost walk-out several times. In finance, Bill was conversational enough, he only tried to sell me one of the 5 add-ons offered at signing, but when I rejected the extended (redundant) warranty, he didn't bother asking about the gap insurance, lo-jack etc. Brandon helped me pair my blue-tooth and unload my old car. Thanks dude! The whole deal took about 3 hours. I would recommend this dealer and Brandon Smith to friends/family. Overall, do your research and bring a calculator/excel spreadsheet so you know exactly how much you'll be paying. read more

After spending a lot of time talking to sales rep about a used car, I went to dealership to buy the car. Before going, I asked the sales rep if they would honor the Edmunds.com Price Promise Guarantee (no haggle price $300 less). Sales rep said yes they would honor it. At the dealership I spent time looking at car, test driving car, then went to buy car. Sales rep then said they would NOT HONOR the Edmunds.com Price Promise price. He spoke with the Manager and said the best we can do is offer you a measly $100 less. The car had damage on the front bumper, rear bumper, and all over the roof. Had a moment of panic when the sticker said $12999 but was reassured by Malik that they honor the on line price. From walking in the door with my 12 year old trade in to walking out with the new car - less than 2 hours including the test drive. Overall happy with the experience. Only reason they didn't get 5 star - because when they cleaned the mats they put them in a pile in the trunk so the trunk and mats smell like a wet dog. I bought a 2015 Certified Pre-Owned Honda Civic last week. Honda's Certified Pre-Owned cars come with a guaranteed 182 point inspection done by Honda specialists to ensure the car is in great condition. The next day the car shuddered and nearly died on my way to work - check emission system light came on, check power steering, check TPMS, check VSA. I had to drive 40 mph on the highway to get the car back to the dealer and get my money back. That's the fastest I could get it to go. The posted speed limit was 50. This experience pales in comparison to the service I received when I bought a 2009 Honda Accord at the same location years back. Service and the appearance of the place have dishearteningly changed. Don't buy a Honda just because of Honda's once-upon-a-time good reputation. Thoroughly check out the dealership on Yelp and elsewhere. Car servicemen and sales people are generally vermin scum of the earth who could care less about anything about you but your money. Customers pay for quality. Not to be hustled, lied to, and conned out of money. read more

This review is based on vehicle service. No sales experience here. My point of contact is a gentleman named Jack. Jack is friendly without being overbearing and is experienced, competent and professional. I would have liked a couple more follow-up calls from him but that is my only complaint. Excellent service. I have had one major repair, covered by Honda, and one other service performed at Sport Honda. The major repair was accomplished in amazingly fast time and involved serious engine work. Now, months later, the engine is still performing beautifully so the work was clearly good. The alignment and 4-wheel balancing and rotation was reasonably priced and because I work on this car myself I watched the tech the whole time through the service bay doors (from a very respectful distance). The tech moved with a purpose and clearly knew his stuff. After he completed the work he stepped out for a breath and I thanked him for working on my vehicle - at which point he spoke to me about what he had done and took a couple of minutes to shoot the breeze about mechanic stuff. My purchasing experience here has been great. I worked with Elliot Robinson while in the market for a new SUV. The staff here are very knowledgeable on both Honda and competitor products, easy to work with, not pushy during the buying process. We were able to quickly come to a price that was acceptable for both parties. Another nice thing, they don't put a giant dealer logo on the back of your car either. Contacted dealership about test driving a 2016 Pilot. The Sales Manager said to come in and they are willing to make a deal since it is the end of the month to meet their quota. Upon arriving the sales person says there is a couple waiting on the vehicle I'm about to test drive but no pressure! That in itself is a little rude to tell me. Did the test drive. And afterwards felt completely rushed like my business wasn't wanted. As soon as I got out of the car we're standing outside the vehicle and he starts talking numbers and says the price is nonnegotiable. He did not even invite me inside to sit down and talk it through. The vehicle was sold to the couple waiting apparently. PLEASE do not tell potential customers that you are willing to make a deal and then waste their time by not budging! I found much better professional dealerships in Annapolis where my hard earned cash is wanted. I had been debating between two makes and models of vehicles before coming to Sport Honda. Although my mother purchased a CRV from Sport Honda nine years ago, with a fantastic experience and a vehicle that is still a great drive, I was fully expecting to purchase a vehicle from another automaker and dealer. To say that I wasn't looking forward to visiting dealerships would be an understatement. My visit to a competitor dealership was everything I dreaded: trash talking the competition, refusing to show written quote, trash talking sales staff, bringing out a vehicle that wasn't what I wanted. I barely wanted to test drive their car and was glad to leave. Headed to Sport Honda where the experience was calming and professional. Was greeted by a young man who asked me what I was looking for and went to get a salesman to assist me. Boyd, the salesman, listened to all the specifics I wanted and had the exact CRV located and ready for me to test drive within fifteen minutes of walking in. The vehicle was fantastic. A huge upgrade from the other make I was considering. Boyd was professional, engaging, attentive and completely put me at ease. He provided a written quote and walked me through other options. He listened to all my questions and truly seemed to care about getting me into the car I would be happy with. My very first car was a 1996 Honda Civic so that tells you how long I have been servicing my car here. As a matter of fact my mom had a 1990 Honda civic and I believe I brought it here as well. Back then I believe I patronized them when they were on East West Hwy. While they still have a service location there I prefer Automobile Blvd. In any case, that should say something about their service and my loyalty to them. I appreciate business' who take customer service seriously as I too am a small business owner. My go to person in the past was Joann. She would always make me feel welcome. Whenever I came for service it didn't feel like a chore with her, it felt more like I was visiting a neighbor who knew the ins and outs of my car and made sure that I got the best service. But she moved on I saw a number of other service techs but my go to is Brian Viegas. Brian is always willing to answer any questions I may have, he provides options and will usually look for ways to save me money by applying the coupon that is most beneficial to my needs. THAT'S always a plus, especially when it comes to service. I appreciate Brian's ability to be personable, cordial and respectful to me as a customer and he's always upbeat no matter what's going on. When he needs to provide you with more info he takes his time, explains everything to you and then writes it up for your notes. He is aware of your service history and double checks with you to make sure your car is up to date with repairs. Should you need to have your honda serviced I recommend Sport Honda and that you ask for Brian. He will be sure to take care of you to the best of his ability. read more

He always helps me out by making sure my car is in tip top shape, running smoothly, and he never price gouged me to death (unlike some other places). Rewind, I visited this place January 19 for a routine check up. They caught so much damage just from the wear and tear of my car that Ernest advised me not to drive and lets get it fixed. Recently purchased an Odyssey EX at Sport Honda after extensive search and price comparison between six Honda dealerships in the region. Will at Sport Honda gave me the lowest price and the pricing was straight forward without any hidden fees. I was surprised how easy it was. Will was great. However, Bill, the finance manager, was not so great. Ask for someone else. Lesson learned- check truecar or other online websites, compare dealership prices through emails, and ask tough questions. Make sure you are comparing apple to apple. Ask for out of the door price for easy comparison. Other dealerships "add/offer" extra services or options to inflate their prices. I didn't find this to be the case at Sport Honda. read more

Mike was very upfront about pricing details and helped me decide to wait for a particular color that I wanted. Julius provided in depth information on the car and purchase process. We had been looking at variety of different manufactures and finally decided on the Honda Pilot Elite. My 2016 car wouldn't start, so I had it towed to the Honda dealership. I was told that the fuel line flooded and that is why it wouldn't start. I was charged $120 for Honda to clean out my fuel line. I later discovered that it typically costs between $50 to $80 for that type of service. This is exceptionally disheartening because I brought my Honda to Sport Honda religiously for 10 years for all service needs, traded in my old Honda at Sport, and then bought my new Honda at Sport. I've been here twice and both times my experiences have been excellent. The first time I needed to get a routine inspection done but only had a couple of hours before I had to be at work. The customer service rep made sure that my inspection was done before I had to go and explained everything they found to me so that I could understand. I had to return because there were problems they had found from my inspection. I didn't make an appointment but they still got me in without a problem. They made sure to let me know everything they were going to do beforehand and also got everything done in a timely manner. Jackie was the opposite. She was responsive but didn't pressure us at all. She was truly a pleasure to deal with in every way. Not only did we get a good deal, they didn't add on anything extra like wheel locks, pin striping, running boards, etc like some of the other dealers. The only negative was that the finance person tried hard to sell us on an extended service contract. Do your homework on that before you go so you can be an educated consumer. I've purchased two cars from here in four years and have left each time confident I got the best deal around. How do I know? I did my homework. I had my trade-in appraised at multiple dealerships. I priced out a new vehicle with the same trims at multiple venues. No one came close to both the trade in value (they beat the competition by $4k on my latest purchase-- and they had no idea I did so much homework.) They area Honda dealers by another $3k for their lowest price on a new car. Want the same experience? I'll tell you how to do it in three words: Ask for T.J. I am always skeptical of dealerships, and I never buy the first time around. I noticed they were selling my dream vehicle I wanted for solo car camping in the spring. I got Tim vo as the salesman who helped me out, but Customer service all around was unrealistically good. I never leave reviews, but I hope someone comes across this one and feels comfortable going into sport Honda and looking around.
