The resturant is beautiful and in a great area (French Quarter) it took over the space that St. John was recently in. The service was great and the waiter was fast with everything. The food was outstanding! For appetizers we got: Gumbo- This was a big shocker I didn't expect it to be this good packed with flavor. Calamari- fried to perfection the batter was well seasoned and the meat wasn't chewy. Fried Ribs- Very tender, fried and nicely seasoned I just wish it was a better sauce to dip it in! Entrees: Half a rooster- A fried half of chicken breast and wing. To be honest it was well done, had a great taste. It came with a marinara sauce under it initially it threw me off but it complements it well. Shrimp & Grits- The Grits were buttery and salted nicely not too watery. The shrimp were cooked pretty well the sauce made the whole dish! Overall I love what they have going on wishing many blessings to them.

The bites and fries were great, cooked perfectly. I did not enjoy the oysters they were off. For the entrees we ordered pasta, shrimp n grits, cajun wings, and sampler. The pasta has good seasoning but the seafood tasted old. The wings were salty and a joke for the size. The sampler was trash! The jambalaya was spoiled, the red beans had a weird taste and the gumbo was ok. My husband said the shrimp n grits had a different flavor n was different. I wont be back here, I wasted a $177.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

The red front door is the marker. Sorry for the lack of pictures, but we were so focused on the incredible food, we forgot to take food pics. Sorry. Look on Google. We go here every time we are in NOLA. The food is consistently excellent and it does not matter what you order. We have at least half the menu plus some specials and each time so happy. What makes the meal even more incredible is the servers. We seem to get a different one each time, so the show is different each time. When I say show, I mean the entertaining interaction you have with the staff. It's awesome. Not only do they know their menu, but also let their personalities run wild. The last guy actually served us dinner and grabbed a chair and told about his travels....like while we eating. Haha. So fun. The place isn't much and it doesn't need to be. It's a mush mash of art and paint and other stuff. AND IT ALL WORKS. it is comforting and interesting. All in all a great time and a great meal. A must go.....if you can find it. The red door!!!!

You go up a steep staircase to tell the guy you want a table and he says he'll call/text when it's available. The food was delicious... especially the entrees. We started with an appetizer of mussels. These were small so there wasn't really enough for us each to be satisfied. Someone thought they were slightly overcooked. We ordered the flounder special with ocean sauce. The double flounder was topped with shrimp and wow, the special cajun ocean sauce was delicious! They said they are known for it and it's understandable why. My kiddo ordered the veal (with ocean sauce) and it was perfectly tender and also delicious. We also ordered the chicken parmesan which was very good as well. It took a while for the food to get to us but given the level of expertise by the chefs, it totally made up for any delay. All of the entrees come with either salad or pasta which hits the spot and is coursed very well. There is a bar downstairs where they had live music which was nice but not exactly what we wanted to listen to. Glad we went to dinner there because of all the amazing flavors. Had a great first night in the French Quarter of New Orleans due in large part to Adolfo's .

We started with bottles of wine and sparkly beverages, not to mention the bruschetta and garlic cheesy bread. The only sad part about the cheesy garlic bread is that I wish there was more! We then moved on to chicken parmesans and some other fabulous pasta dish that I don't remember (again, bottles of wines). From there, we were easily convinced to do dessert - chocolate cake, cheesecake, and limoncello cake! Again, you would not have heard one complaint for our table (except maybe being too full??)! I can't wait to go back and sample more of the menu. *chef's kiss*

Spare yourself the disappointment and pass on Mona Lisa…read more I'm a server in New Orleans and have been in the hospitality industry my whole life - so trust me when I say that this place is a joke. I eat just about anything. I don't shy away from Taco Bell, or even gas station food but I also frequent high end restaurants. I'd rather eat McDonald's over Mona Lisa. The only decent aspect of my meal was the decor in the restaurant. Even the server was short and cold. The food at Mona Lisa is all low quality frozen stuff that they buy from restaurant depot. It was all bland and boring. I would say that at-best the food is mediocre but edible. It feels to me like an elevated Cici's pizza in there. Being in a city that's known for having amazing food and great restaurants - do yourself a favor and pick literally any other restaurant over this place. There's no shortage of amazing Italian restaurants - Irene's, Paladar 511, Pulcinella!, and Giana are just a few other options. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner of this establishment.
