I do t try too many pizzas but I came here to get some pies and it just gave me that feeling of New York style thin crust large slice pizzas. They are really good but I think they could be better. The crust wasn't as doughy and perfect as other pizzas I have had in the past and the thin part sometimes just fell apart. But flavors were on point and good for a classic pizza. Make sure you tip well and make sure you tip Michael making the pizzas in the back cause when he is there I felt like the pizzas were 10x. The ambience is like a tourist spot with high in and outs, but also with a cool treehouse looking bar. Music is a vibe so it keeps people in and out. And service is always quick and on point. Glad we discovered this little pizza bar across from Armstrong park in N.O. There is a large "tree" in the center of the bar with bright lanterns hanging in the branches. Fun & funky decor. Music was loud but fun, and some animated films were playing on a screen hanging on the wall.We ordered two drinks, the Bryce and the Travis. The drinks were $14 each. Very tasty and they didn't skimp on the alcohol. We also ordered a large supreme pizza. It appeared to be served by the cook. The toppings were plentiful and evenly distributed. The crust was thin and crispy. After reading some reviews suggesting the ranch sauce, we asked for some. It was dill-icious! Love. Love. Love. The Rampart Treehouse is such a unique space. I love the decor and the tree in the middle gives it a whimsical vibe that is unmatched. We stopped in after watching the Fourth of July fireworks and even though it was close to 11PM, we were still able to get some delicious pizza. I opted for the pepperoni and my date did the supreme. I tried them both and they were SO GOOD. The perfect slice! The slice comes at $6 but it is worth it for the hot and ready deliciousness. The bartender was so nice and had the brightest smile. Came here as part of a ghost tour stop. I was afraid it would be like so many other tour stops. Overrated, under done and a tourist trap stop. Boy was I wrong. This place is !Friendly eclectic delish! Just what you want from a place that serves great drinks along with some good pizza. The vibe is cool, casual and fun. The pizza is served whole or by the slice. I thought when I first saw it that it just didn't look great. My friend ordered any way. The pizza is warmed to order and satisfies. It tasted so much better than it looked. It gets better here. They offer vegetarian options too. Did I mention? The ranch dressing is fire! The drinks are tasty good. They have regular drinks, frozen drinks and craft beers. Despite getting busy every one is tended to and there is no feeling of neglect. In fact the guy tending bar that night was amazing. Downright sweet and attentive. There is a bar area some booths and a couple of tables. So much to see. There is art everywhere. Even in the bathroom where there are flowers? On the wall? Yes. This spot is different and sort of in an area by itself off Bourbon St. RT is located near the Armstrong Park and isn't in a busy area which is nice. But if you're at the park, you could easily swing by here too. The interior is unique and is dark and mysterious. You also free like you're in a treehouse when you're sitting inside. If you're looking for good food and drinks, I recommend stopping here. read more

Rampart first caught my eye while planning my trip to NOLA as a vegetarian. They have really great veg/vegan options! Plus, we lucked out because our hotel was only a few blocks away. The tree in the middle of the restaurant is beautiful! The ambiance is chill and lowkey with the bar located right in the middle. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We ordered a Caesar salad with vegan chicken and a Margherita pizza. The salad was so good!! It's always a good sign when a place can make a great Caesar salad. And the vegan chicken was a great add on. Now the pizza, omg. It's a NY style thin crust but their crust had a kick of spice to it! I wish I asked what it was. But that just made it like anything we've ever had before! My fiancé and I only left one piece behind. I think that says it all. They also sell by the slice but if you want the full experience and can share with others, I would order a fresh pie. This place has been on my radar for quite some time. I was initially intrigued by the flaming pizza. (It's no longer on the menu.) I finally had the opportunity to check it out. The décor is very charming with festive artwork lining the walls. The bar is built around a "Magnolia" tree, which is covered with over 500 hand painted flowers. The drink menu offers $14 craft cocktails and specials such as Vodka Lemonade (2 for $10) or premium Hurricanes (2 for $15). Today I was here for one thing and one thing only - PIZZA! Unfortunately, I couldn't stay so I asked for a slice of cheese pizza to go ($6). (Whole pies are available including gluten free & vegan.) The bartender told me it would be a few minutes because a fresh one was just coming out of the oven. Thankfully, I was only a few blocks from home because I couldn't wait to take a bite. When I finally did, this NY style slice was pure bliss! The top crust was slightly chewy & the bottom was foldable. The sauce had a good flavor. I could tell they used quality cheese by the way it melted. The addition of herbs and parmesan made it extra tasty. Whenever I'm in town, a stop at Rampart Treehouse will be on the agenda. Rampart Treehouse was one of my first stops in New Orleans. I had bookmarked it on Yelp and when I checked into my hotel, I realized it was withing walking distance. The menu is super simple but fun. This is a great spot to stop by for drinks and some pizza. We actually stopped by 3 out of our 5 day trip to NOLA. The first day was during happy hour so we got vodka lemonades and pizza. Annie was our bartender. She was awesome! So cool and she's super stylish. She took great care of us. The pizza was SO good. I'm back home and I still thinking of that pizza haha. There was also ranch dressing made in house, it was sublime. Drinks were nice and strong. Interior decor was amazing. Music was perfection. It's such a chill place. Some of the walking tours start here. I missed mine but the bar was so inviting I decided to stay. It was an odd time of day so not sure what it's like usually but I had the bartender's attention so I decided to sit for a while and try out a cocktail. They have pizza by the slice here and I am required to sample every Pizza by the Slice that I encounter so needs must, I ordered the pepperoni and joined in the conversation among the ladies at the bar. I was encouraged to try The Scar cocktail which features bourbon, black tea, lemon, and crème de pêche, of all things. I went with it and enjoyed a strong afternoon cocktail and probably the best slice of pizza I've had in a few years. Extremely disappointed. Worst service our entire trip after visiting numerous establishments. We were really looking forward to trying the vegan pizza. Upon arrival we were not greeted, no "come on in" or "grab a seat", no direction of where to order, so we grabbed a table. Walked up to the bar to order drinks and pizza but was not acknowledged for over 10 minutes. A regular customer at the bar got the bartenders attention and pointed over at me letting her know I've been waiting on her to which her response was she takes care of her bar customers if I am not standing under the "order" sign. I told her I was not aware that there was a spot to order which I walked around the bar to an area that had a sign for "Togo orders here". Which I then get the bartender's attention and order the vegan pizza and she follows by saying she needs to check if they have vegan ingredients and unfortunately they did not. Doesn't make sense as there are multiple ingredients on the pizza and they did not even offer any alternative. It seemed with such a miserable attitude that they simply did not want to accommodate us. It was late in the night and we were depending on that for our dinner so we were left with few vegan options in town. Thankfully another spot with vegan options took care of us with a positive attitude and fed us well. It worked out for the best in the end. Would not recommend this spot for anyone who is looking for a good experience. As for any vegans- do yourself a favor and try something else for dinner. read more

Complete joke of a bar. Maybe we just happened to come here on an off day, but this bar is probably the worst run bar I've EVER been to...and I've seen some pretty shittily run bars. A perfect textbook example of how to run your business into the ground. We came here on a Sunday around 8:30pm as it serves as the pickup location for the Haunted History Tour that we booked for 9:30 pm. In the 30-40 minutes we were there, I seriously saw the bartender serve one slice of pizza, 2 soft drinks, and a beer while pointlessly running back and forth from the bar to the POS machine that they curiously have closer to the kitchen than the bar itself...all the while about 30 people were waiting to place an order. I have no idea wtf the bartender was doing...completely ignoring everyone and doing absolutely nothing, while an additional 2 other employees were idly watching from the kitchen. I even tried to get his attention 3-4 times...and instead of apologizing each time he could've easily taken our order. Complete amateur hour. With a steady flow of customers coming into the bar while waiting for the haunted history tour, this place should be absolutely killing it...I just don't get it. We visited the Rampart Treehouse a couple of times on this trip. What originally caught my eye was the beautiful tree decor. It's prettier in person than on pictures. While there we had some delicious pizza slices! The perfect amount of thin, crispy, cheesy and saucy. The drinks were good, as well. I wish I could remember the names of the ones in the photos. I also wish I had gotten a picture of the Anna drink. It was my favorite! Speaking of Anna, the bartender that it was named after was very friendly and helpful. The vibe here was very relaxed. We had our 10 and 12 year olds with us and they were welcomed and not out of place. If we are in town again, this will be on the visit again list! read more

I learned from our last vacation to find a place for lunch because after flying all morning and getting to the destination you want food! So I tried to find something unique and this fit the bill. Awesome looking decor, pizza surprisingly good! I mean we're from NY so it's hard to beat ours :P I never thought to put ranch on my pizza and omg it was so good. They make their own and it was just the best ever. I love ranch so that was just the icing on the cake. Service was good especially as my son who wanted mcdonalds refused to come inside this place as we waited for our pie lol.
