Overall, a cute, new spot with friendly staff and quick service. I wanted a little nibble and was craving oysters. I ordered the Oyster Trio: Included Rockefeller, Pimento Cheese, and Herb & Garlic Butter served with the most delicious crostinis. They were all of decent size and the Garlic Butter & Herb were my favorite of the 3. Pimento Cheese came in second and the Rockefeller was my least favorite but I'm not a big fan of a lot of toppings on my oysters so take my review with a grain of salt as my favorite way of eating oysters are raw, fried, and charbroiled. If you love oysters with toppings this might be just what your taste buds crave. I wasn't planning on drinking but when I saw that they were infusing their vodka for their Bloody Mary's, how could I refuse. Not bad but I prefer a hint of a thicker texture with mine.

Char grilled oysters . Delicious. Charred sprouts were fine. Too much glaze and the peanuts? Added nothing . Then we ordered the steak frites. "Medium rare". The waiter gave me a weird look. What he brought to the table was a crime worthy of a 911 call. I would like to report a murder. Go look up "medium rare strip steak images" then look at this "steak". No. Waiter was extremely puzzled why we were sending it back. You tell me.

Incredible experience! The food was one of the best dishes of our lives, the staff was lovely and the ambiance was great! We tried the Oyster Trio and it knocked our socks off! 11/10 recommend! We've been thinking about them all night and can't wait to come back for more!

We started with a dozen raw oysters and the alligator bites. Our three year old LOVED the bite sized gator app! For our main we ordered the shrimp and the oyster poboys with truffle fries. all of the food was excellent and the truffle fries WERE TO DIE FOR!!!! we experienced no wait time and the restaurant was nice and clean. Beautiful counter tops throughout.

    Frog legs

Pros: Nice seating. Attentive staff. Cons: Food was too salty, especially the gumbo. Fried frog legs were definitely not fresh. Both the fried dishes of frog legs & gater bites were salty.

Great respite from galavanting in the quarter- best Pimm's cups I've had and the Cajun Oysters are melt in your mouf good! Everything we had was so tasty. Great service too. If you can get a seat on the balcony at night, it's a fantastic spot for people watching and listening to the tunes on the street. Thank you, Cajun Flames! You made our weekend at Funk fest that much better. xoxo

    Flaming burger 10/10

Our server, Adam was great, atmosphere was beautiful, the burger was one of the best I've ever had. Red beans & rice were good as well, not the best I've ever had.... But I would absolutely order again!

Was walking around looking for a place to eat with friends and found this place. We ordered a bunch of appetizers including the frog legs which were very well seasoned crispy and delicious! The oyster trio which were all good but the Cajun style took the cake. The gumbo and red beans from the sampler trio were delicious but the jambalaya was just alright. Tasted more like dirty rice. The crab and oyster dip was a little grainy but fresh! The drinks were strong The service was ok waiter seemed a little confused but was nice. The booths were nice and clean and you can see the chefs making your food. Overall 8/10 experience

    Menu

Happened to walk by and the menu caught my eye. Figured I would give it a try because I wanted some Cajun food and I'm so glad I did. The food was amazing! Great location. Very calm atmosphere even with Mardi Gras going on. An amazing place. I got the seafood pasta and the gumbo and it was incredible

The restaurant and courtyard are beautiful, with a rich history that adds to the experience. Chris Hannah is one of the best bartenders in the business. He took the time to learn what we enjoyed and crafted cocktails that were absolutely spot on. Beyond the drinks, he was warm, engaging, and even shared a list of local recommendations that ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. Outstanding cocktails, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable start to our New Orleans adventure.

We were seated in the upstairs area and tried some of their drinks. We got the Brandy Crusta which is their most popular drink and the Pouvez-Vous Poulet which is a seasonal cocktail. The Brandy Crusta has the cup dipped in sugar with a fairly strong cocktail within. Definitely get this when you are here as that is one of the best Brandy Crustas and is historical. The Pouvez-Vous Poulet is a duck fat washed rum cocktail and is also very delicious. You cannot really go wrong with any cocktail, but definitely order the Brandy Crusta for the true experience here. Though, honestly, while the cocktails are good, it was not as memorable as the other Top 50 Best Bars in the World that I have been to, but I won't dock a star off because of this, since the cocktails and overall experience otherwise were fantastic. Service is good but can be a bit slow, but it is an acceptable tradeoff for a more quiet ambience compared to downstairs.

While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars. We had such a great time sitting at the bar that my wife and I each finished two and a half Sazeracs, which tells you everything you need to know.

Atmosphere/Appearance: It's EXTREMELY BUSY and very loud in here. Lol. As mentioned above, the bar is located inside the hotel so once you walk in through the front door you enter the lobby then head to the right. It's a first-come, first-serve situation (at least it was for us at the time). So of course, the carousel bar is the highlight. It's a slow rotating bar rail and it's adorable. Lol. Almost the entire bar is eyeing any available spots so you have to be quick, but be respectful. However, there are tables and such sprinkled throughout the bar where you can hangout at as you stalk the actual carousel. My wife and I sat in the window which made for some excellent people watching. Lol. Eventually after what felt like an hour or we did spot some spots on the carousel, my wife held them for me as I closed the check then finally got to sit... and SPIN! The bar completes a full revolution every 15 minutes so you definitely won't get dizzy. Service: We had no issues here whatsoever. The staff is just super busy all over the place, but they didn't miss a beat. Food: For my first drink I checked out their Oaxacan Midnight which was like a tequila play on the Old Fashioned. It was delicious, a bit lighter than an Old Fashioned, but certainly stood on it's own. For our first appetizer bar bite we tried the Blue Crab & Corn Beignet which didn't come out as I was expecting. Lol. I'm not mad, I just pictured the big, fluffy things from Cafe Du Monde, but maybe stuffed with goodies! These were more like fritter than I absolutely loved so much I ordered a 2nd plate. Lastly we tried the BBQ Shrimp which was grilled to perfection with a good snap, excellent flavor and good char along with a tangy, cream sauce on top. Value: It's pricey. Food and drinks were decent, but a SMIDGE overpriced, but... they know you're going to pay because you're on vacation, you're a tourist and you wanna be in this novelty bar. Lol. Regardless, I had a blast and you can say you did too whenever you check this place out! In conclusion, I've now been there, done that. Lol. I don't have to do it again, but if you're in the area, check this place out. It's a good time.

The Apothecary was the cure. We grabbed seats mid bar and before we even finished settling in, there were waters waiting on the bar. Inside is low light and old time apothecary mood, menus like a spellbook, but it's not gimmicky. The bartenders move like they've done the reps. Calm. Precise. No frantic showboating, no syrupy cover ups, no sloppy pours even with the parade energy banging on the door. We ordered two and they were both dead on. Alchemist Elixir: pea flower gin, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon. It shows up pale violet with an orchid on the rim and yes it's pretty, but it's also disciplined. Floral without tasting like perfume. Bright without being sour. A drink that makes you slow down. Plus a magic chemists surprise. Corpse Reviver #2: local gin, Lillet Blanc, Grand Marnier, absinthe, fresh lemon. Cold, crisp, citrus first, then the herbal edge and just enough absinthe to remind you what city you're in. Served in a textured coupe with a cherry skewer, details handled like they actually matter. Outside, the streets were selling amnesia in plastic souvenir cups. Inside, The Apothecary was serving adults. Let Bourbon Street keep the grenades. Give me the anecdote .
