Just had the best service appointment EVER for my Vespa! So here's what's up, I needed the tires changed on my 2009 vespa LX150. I was floored by the insane price ($400) the vespa dealership in Schenectady was trying to charge me so I started looking around. The vespa dealership tried to tell me the high price was because it was "labor intensive" and they had to take the muffler off. IDK if it's cause I'm a female or they thought I was too stupid to google it but it LITERALLY involves 4 bolts! Needless to say I won't reward this nonsense with my business so I ended up buying my tires online for a total of $130 then I took them to sportline and they charged me $100 to swap them out! So yea, for $230 I got the work done and the guys were FANTASTIC, they let me know my tail light was out and fixed it too. Needless to say they have a customer for life now! read more

Was over here from Vermont. Service was first come first served during the Americade. So I got here early. Have an older Goldwing (1997) that dealers frown upon! So I rode over to get new tires. They got me in quickly and did the tires while I waited. I know since it was the Americade, they wanted to get people on the road as soon as possible. I got my new Dunlop's for a price that didn't kill me and am very happy. The owner and his sons run the place, but everyone was helpful and attentive. Like the owner. It's nice to see someone whose positive personality is reflected in the business and employees. It is not seen enough these days. Thank you and I will be back. read more

My son was purchasing a new motorcycle through this company, paid a deposit to buy it and told them he'd be there Saturday to get it as it's a 2 hour ride to the dealership. As we were headed there Saturday they called, said it needed a recall fix and wouldn't be ready for a week!!!! Mind you, we were 30 minutes away. He wanted the bike today so called them back and said never mind, knew for a week we were coming plus we called at 9:00 to confirm it was ready. Now they WON'T refund his deposit Which he WASN'T told was non refundable! Absolutely ridiculous. The deposit is so they don't sell it to anyone else but technically they can't sell it anyway if it won't even start without the recall being fixed!!! The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and personable. They listen to you, and return with honest conclusions, not try to impress with hyperbole. Let me see you find that at any other bike shop! I can change my own oil, but that's about it. When you drive a bike, and you drive it aggressively, you have to have complete confidence in the service techs. I've had my bike here for some engine work . I was driving it hard upshifting down shifting Wilton MTn road and messed up some internal seals. The bike was mishitting and had a sputter to it. Took my 95 Concours up, while I busted one of four, they recommended doing them all. I drive it hard, let them do the work...smooth sailing. I thought it was a reasonable price for parts and labor. I bought Connie 5 years back with 28k, popped that thing at about 35k, she's running smooth at 50k.. They impress me, they are good, never waste your time.. Sure the sales guys always invite me to take something for a ride to buy and when Connie putters out or my kids are out of college, I might bite. My son and my friend recently dropped off parts for a diagnosis. They were there on a Saturday and was told they would have an answer on Tuesday. On Friday when they called the service technician stated they hadn't got to it and wouldn't until next week and promptly hung up before any further of a conversation could occur. I might add that my friend bought TWO four wheelers on the same day. In our garage alone we have two motorcycles, three four wheelers, and two dirt bikes....it's not the only show around for my families needs. Their loss. read more

I had ridden up to Lake George for Americade and on Monday morning, 6-3, had a check engine light came on when I started my bike. I rode down to Sportlune hoping they were open. When I arrived one of the employees was outside and I told him what my issue was. He told me they were closed but he said he would ask someone in Service if they read the code to let me know what the code was. Not only did they read what the problem was they cleared it and let me know what it was. This got me back on the road with piece of mind. Changed the deal as check was being cut by bank!!!!!! I had worked on a deal with this dealer for over a week for the purchase of an Yamaha Grizzly 700 ATV with a complete Warn plow package, I was also trading a motorcycle as part of the trade. They asked for photos of the bike which I sent them as well as full disclosure of any issues that it had, which were small. It had a few small scratches from a previous owner which was sent in photos and the back tire was nearing time to be replaced. They offered me $3800 which I reluctantly agreed to. I dropped the bike off and they assessed it and agreed we were good to go. I got insurance on the ATV and the bank was cutting the check and I had arranged to have the title for the motorcycle for the dealer as well. I had advised them I would pick up the ATV the next morning. I then received a message from them that they would only give me $3500 for some reason...... this is AFTER I was told everything was set and the deal was made. A $12,000 deal broken because they used shady tactics and tried to squeeze another $300 from a customer. Very poor business practice with the bait and switch tactics. By the way...... Less than thrilled with their service. My husband's motorcycle was purchased there and has been taken their annually since it's purchase in 2000. Since taking it there about 2 years ago, the bike has not run right. We brought it in again this April for it's annual service. When we made the appointment 2 weeks earlier, we were told we would be one of the 1st appointments of the day, yet we didn't end up getting a call to pick up the bike until about 15 minutes before they close. To add insult to injury, when I went to pay for the service and ask them to leave the bike outside to have my husband pick it up later, I happened to notice that our service paperwork said nothing about an inspection, which was our main purpose for dropping it off. I brought this to their attention and they proceeded to argue with me explaining "the bike has definitely been inspected, I saw a 2016 sticker on it." I insisted that we go out and double-check the sticker which of course, was expired. The bike had NOT been inspected. Fast forward 2 months and add countless hours of us trying to figure out why the bike is continuiously stalling and not running right. Much to our surprise we find that instead of their mechanics properly reinstalling the carb, and air hoses, they just shoved everything back in there, both pinching and failing to re-attch the ventilation hose to the carb. Needless to say, we will never be purchasing or brining any of our equipment to Sportline again. Why pay someone to care for your equipment when you just have to fix it yourself the right way anyway? read more

We had a 2007 Sea Doo with 60 hours on it. It was running perfectly fine, however the Super Charger had failed so the power was a little less. We finally decided to get it repaired and brought it to SportLine. They rebuilt the supercharger and we picked it up, over $700 dollars later. We put the machine back in the water and went about 20 yards when an alarm went off. We called Sportline, they apologized and said to bring it back ( another hour trip) They had our machine again, and we were called and told the " engine was cracked", and they would need to take it apart to see what was " went wrong" . We were then told that it was "nothing they did" and it was an " unfortunate coincidence" , but a factory installed screw that held the oil pump on backed its way out and went into the engine, cracking it. After that call, I contacted technicians at Bombadier , the manufacturer of SeaDoo, and was told they have never had one incidence of this being reported as an issue. I also called 4 other SeaDoo dealers, who said they never heard of that happening before, BUT... it was more likely that debris from the failed supercharger was not removed from the engine during the repair process. I contacted Sportline and talked to one of the owners. At that point he had not heard of the issue on our Seadoo. I told him my concerns and what I was told by other dealers and Bombadier. He said he would look into it and get back to me. When he contacted me again, he said Bombadier " lied" to me, and the have been instances of a screw backing out of oil pump before. He also said " they got all the debris and washers" out of the engine during the repair. He said his tech had access to a " blog" on SeaDoo where other techs reported such a problem. I asked him to send me the information. He said he would, but I never received it. I called multiple times, finally received a fax that said the information from the blog was not exactly " on point" and he would get back to me. He never did. I then called several more times, the last time I spoke to the other owner, who is also the " Service Manager". He was curt, and asked me " just what exactly did I want". I told him he should file a claim with his own insurance company due to the damage to our engine, and fix it. He asked me why, and I stated I believed they failed to get the debri out of the engine during the repair process. He then asked me " How were we supposed to do that?". Seriously?? I explained other dealers used a camera to look in engine and remove debris... I also told him he should ask the other owner if he didn't know "How they were supposed to do that" , since I was told they supposedly had done it. He then got very short with me telling me I was " confusing" the whole issue by talking to different people at the dealership. I told him it wouldn't be so confusing if the had the same story and response to my questions. All said and done, we had a perfectly good machine which was brought to them for a repair and it is now totally shot, and they are calling it an " unfortunate coincidence" , stating the damage was done by something neither the manufacturer or other dealers have ever seen or heard of happening. Bottom line... if you are considering bringing something to them for repair.. think again. read more

Sportline repaired my 2002 Grizzly but the quad still didn't operate well. The engine was fine but the quad would not go into gear - and i thought it was fried. Turns out that the service tech had installed the one-way bearing reversed, when I turne dit around, the quad ran well and shifted easy. I contacted Sportline, I emailed the ower since I was pissed about this mistake. Glenn emailed and called me back and asked how he could make this right. Ultimately, Glenn and Justin (Service Manager) offered to fix up my other quad FREE as compensation for the mistake on the Grizzly. I know mistakes happen and when Sportline found out about their mistake they went to great lengths to fix it. Thats the way things ought to be. I am satisfied that these are good guys to deal with. read more
