Spotless Carper & Upholstery Cleaning is fantastic. I have a very fussy cat who liked to use my roommate's sofa as a bathroom in protest. Spotless gave me a great quote which included a deep clean, disinfection, and application of a Scotchgard coating to the couch. When they saw that the rug was dirty, they offered to throw that in too, and told me to bring the rug from my bedroom out to be cleaned as well! Spotless was also very sensitive to my hectic schedule, and worked with me to find a time when I would be home for them to come do the work. They made sure to follow up the day before the appointment, and again the morning of and showed up promptly to preform the work. When all was said and done, the couch looked brand new and I had two clean, wonderfully smelling rugs! The next time I something cleaned, I will be calling these guys back! read more

At first I was very excited to have this business come. They were super responsive and were able to come the next day, BUT the price was outrageous! They wanted to charge us $1000 for ONE SOFA. Way above our budget. We settled on having them do 2 couch cushions for almost $400. I had another company reach out (unfortunately after already having Spotless clean) and they would have only charged $200 for the FULL SOFA. This company is insanely priced and a scam. I gave Spotless a call after discovering that my wonderful dog had decided to show the new couch exactly who was boss, leaving it smelling like a cross between a kennel and a frat house. I needed it cleaned ASAP, so I requested a quote from Spotless at about 9:30 on a Thursday night. 20 minutes later I had a text and e-mail with an estimate. The next day, they called me to follow up and schedule an appointment for over the weekend. Day of our appointment, Yossi and his team of two cleaners came and gave a more thorough estimate for both the couch, and a high pile shag rug I'd let go for too long without a proper cleaning. The on-site estimates were more expensive than I'd been quoted, so we negotiated and arrived at a price I felt comfortable with. I found the price to clean my couch incredibly affordable, and got an excellent package deal that will help preserve my new clean couch in the future. Just called me up on the phone and started screaming at me calling me "an asshole" and telling me that I seemed like trouble and he didn't want to help me any further?? Holy moley. These guys are the greatest! I usually don't write reviews, but this service deserves recognition! My roommate spilt coffee all over my vintage couch that I inherited from my grandparents - and this isn't some old, nasty, worn-out couch that was handed to me because I couldn't afford one, no. As a relative newcomer to the grown-up world of upholstered furniture ownership, this was my first shampoo cleaning job. After an easy Yelp search, Spotless NYC was one of the first and most reputable to appear! We e-mailed them photos of the furniture in question (large 90" sofa, 1 wing chair, 1 lounge chair, and 1 small tufted rug), and they got back to us same-day and were available to do the work right away. Within an hour, Lior and Richard appeared at our doorstep! Lior walked me through his estimate and the various options, and even showed me photos/video on his phone explaining the benefits of the full cleaning package. I was ready to pull out the old checkbook, but the company was able to take PayPal on the fly--just a few taps on my phone, and payment was complete! Richard then begun the process of cleaning the furniture, and was very thorough and efficient. The service took about an hour to complete, and the results were nothing short of AMAZING. The sofa was upholstered in a light cream wool blend (dangerous, I know), and featured grey-ish stains from when we tried to use Shout. I daresay the sofa is even more vibrant and better looking than when we originally picked it up from the Jonathan Adler warehouse sale! Richard even graciously took care of a few extra corners we pointed out after the job was done. Many companies won't do free walkthroughs, but having them be able to come by same day and provide a quote is extremely convenient. Most people don't realize how difficult it is to quote over the phone on something you can't see, which is why a lot of cleaning companies don't. I thought Spotless was very easy to work with. Picture yourself sitting on your light beige microfiber couch, sipping a fresh cup of coffee and reveling in the fact that it's Saturday morning and you don't have to go into work. Then picture yourself and said couch saturated in hot coffee...well I guess this is the prompt I needed to finally bite the bullet and find a couch cleaner. This is the first time I've had my couch cleaned so I obviously turn to Yelp. Good reviews, and their website says same day service is possible...win. I fill out the form, expecting to not hear back until early next week (I saw on their site they are closed Saturdays) and continue on with my day. A few hours later I get a text asking when I want someone to come in. Ok, how about tomorrow? Yes? Yep! Ok great. Confirmed, and didn't even require me picking up the phone. I got a phone call confirming the appt the next day, and even that they were running ahead of schedule and would it be OK to come in early. Yes please. The couch is assessed and a quote is given, then two guys bring this big machine up and in an hour my sofa is looking quite different...a lighter color in fact! Wow, I almost forgot what the couch was supposed to look like. I paid $375 for a full deep clean treatment (deep clean, shampoo, scotch guard preventative treatment, etc) for a 3 seater sofa and matching ottoman. This seemed a little pricey, but I'm honestly not sure what the going rates are for a deep clean service, and I could have probably done a nice little package discount deal if I had other furniture or rugs that needed cleaning. There were 2 stains the technicians were unable to fully remove, but they pointed them out to me and didn't just shirk away hoping I wouldn't notice. Hopefully it won't be for a while, barring any subsequent coffee waterfalls, but I'd use these guys again. read more

I worked with Meir initially, Meir was very upfront and gave me an honest opinion of how clean he thought the team could get my couch and my chair. I appreciated him walking me through. We discussed cost and the group was able to price-match a competitor so I decided to proceed. Shakuir and Austin came up and did great job cleaning the couch. They were professional, efficient and left the area clean. I was a little disappointed that the upholstered chair I had cleaned didn't look that differently given the evaluation I had in the beginning but the sofa which they had not promised huge results looked amazing. (after calling me saying they might not make my appt, wasnt it at a different time, couldnt I rechedule for tomorrow) I was quoted a completely ABSURD price. I'm talking the quoted me $200 on the phone for the whole project and I paid over $800!!!!!!!!!!!! and that was a "discounted" price! I needed the work done and fell for it. I chose Spotless to clean my couch and ottoman largely based on reviews written here. So I had some idea what to expect. I knew there would be some pricing issues and I'd have to haggle with the workmen a bit. I also knew they'd be expensive. I ended up spending $460 for a couch and ottoman cleaning (it would have been $425 had I paid cash). For the same pieces last year I spent $140 with Sears. However, Sears did a crappy job and I was willing to spend big for a good job. The workmen were excellent and professional. Communication with the company was easy via text messages. The job they did far surpassed the job done last year. I'm knocking 1 star off because, when haggling with Leor, the consultant who came to give me a quote, I was told that they'd do such a good job "you won't be able to tell they (the couch and ottoman) aren't new". And while they did a good job, it doesn't approach looking new. Secondly, while I expected to spend big, I'm knocking off a second star because $460 for a couch and ottoman seems crazy.
