    Strawberry gelato
    Jennifer R.

Got to check out the new gelato place in LaGrange tonight. The space is super cute, love the pink and the polka dots! I had a delicious strawberry sorbet in a waffle cone, I loved it! Thankful to have a non dairy choice. My husband got the cookies and cream gelato, I stole a lick and it was super yummy. Thankful to have some place like this on Main Street, can't wait to make frequent stops this summer! Oh only reason not 5 stars is because it was a bit pricy for the serving size. Two waffle cones were $15

Good friendly service, nice selection of Gelato, and finally a store that stays open past dinner.

Was very disappointed in the device and "gelato". Taste like cheap ice cream - Not gelato!

I appreciated they sent out a snapshot of their menu early on. I got a strawberry french toast crepe. It was thick, closer to pancake consistency with syrup soaked in and fresh strawberries on top. I was expecting something lighter but this was very filling. I also got a breakfast crepe with bacon. It was stuffed with eggs, cheese and fresh spinach. The bacon was crumbled and they gave us a ton of it. Depending on your hunger level you might split them into two meals or share. Along with a bottled water I got a Dole pineapple whip. Pineapple juice, bits of pineapple and vanilla sorbet. Really good, not overly sweet because the gelato calms it down but it warmed up about midway through and needed ice or to be chilled. Drink fast! Overall I highly recommend a savory crepe. Huge, filling and not heavily breaded as compared to my strawberry crepe.

I'm the furthest thing from an expert on crepes so I'm not 100% sure how long it takes to cook a crepe, plus we got 4 crepes, so maybe that's why? Either way, it was well worth the wait! The crepes were AWESOME! The savory crepes were delicious, but of course, I thought the sweet crepe we had (strawberry french toast crepe) was outstanding! I will definitely hit up this food truck if I ever get the chance to!

Something I never thought to try: bread! While I don't remember what this sundae was called, or precisely what the toppings were, but I do remember the base was a piece of flame(?)-toasted brioche. Not only did it do a great job of absorbing any melting ice cream, it also complimented the flavors and textures. As for the gelato itself, while I typically do not go for vanilla, in combination with the sauce and other ingredients, it worked phenomenally well! I felt that the value proposition was fair considering I devoured this thing like no one's business, and wanted to ask for seconds. The vibe is what I would describe as hip and cute. While my adjectives may be far off, it was a comfortable space to spend some time with a friend. Final verdict: I don't make it down to E-Town very often at all, but you can be sure I will make it a point to return to the Dreamery when I am in KY next.

Choosing just one flavor is difficult, so music to my ears when told we could get two flavors in one cup. I went with coffee and blackberry lemon, both flavors were delicious. We have been lucky enough to have tried it at the Crave Food Festival and at our city's Summer Concert Series. Super excited seeing the owners opened a physical location. We were thrilled to see their theme from their cute polka dotted ice cream trucks into their new place. Bright pink with polka dots all over the walls. Amazing twine globes used as pendulum lighting. Beth and Phillip have created a fun, bright place in Georgetown. Speaking of... all of their gelato is created at their farm in Scott County! My husband tried their Affogato. He's a coffee fan! It's a scoop of gelato in a cup of coffee. Yes, you may spy a Keriug on the counter. In the spirit of staying green, they grind coffee from Twin Engine Coffee & place it in a reusable k-cup pod. He loved the coffee! I tried the peanut butter. It was rich and creamy just like granny's peanut butter candy at Christmas. In the past, we have always had the Banana pudding gelato. I cannot write about Spotz without mentioning how much we like that flavor! If you love ice cream, please give gelato a try. Creamier, richer, and carries more flavor! (P.S. Phillip was the Crave Festival Angel who rescued me with a drink a few years ago when spicy Indian Food was making my throat close. We have often wondered if we'd ever find that man again!)
