A friend of mine from San Diego came to meet me on Coronado on a weekday afternoon, and we went for a walk along Orange. I noted the MooTime Creamery and how I had always wanted to stop by to see how the ice ream and experience were. We got in line, which moved rather quickly. We were inside before we knew it, and eventually were able to see the menu and place an order at the counter. My friend and I both ordered a Little Moo in a cup, which included two scoops. I choose two flavors: Stracciatella and Coffee. My friend ordered two scoops of the July flavor of the month Two Five Zero Swirl, which swirls together raspberry ice cream with raspberry compote, blueberry ice cream with blueberry compote, creamy vanilla, and starry sprinkles for a festive Fourth of July flavor. We both thought the ice cream choices we made were tasty! Unfortunately, being a hot summer day, there wasn't anywhere near the MooTime Creamery to sit in the shade or inside, so we had to walk for a bit to find a shady place to stand and eat our ice creams before they melted. The prices were reasonable being on Coronado. Even though, I used a Buy One Get One Free coupon through Entertainment.com to get one of our ice cream cups for free. I then learned that MooTime Creamery has a loyalty program where you can earn discounts and also receive an annual $5 birthday reward.
