It's with a conflicted heart that I write this review. I really wanted to give this place a 5-star review, but I just can't in good conscience do so. It has the potential to be a top-notch place, but there are some needed adjustments that must take place before that can happen. The amenities themselves are stellar. There's a wide variety of lodging options to choose from depending on your needs. They range from single-bedroom apartment-style suites without a kitchen, to 3- to 4-bedroom condo with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. There's also the option of a more traditional hotel-type room if that's your preference. All rooms have incredible views of the Teton Mountains and Yellowstone National Park and Teton National Park are easily accessible from the ranch. However, unfortunately, the service is somewhat lacking. The staff was all friendly, but to be honest, pretty aloof. We had a group of about 40 of us there for a big family reunion. When we arrived our itinerary was completely wrong. When we asked where to pick up our wet suits for the raft trip booked through their activity packages (along with several other questions about their property) we were told "I don't know" without much effort to figure out the answer. Minor housekeeping things could be up to speed, such as a broken hot tub and broken and outdated gym equipment in the workout facility. Overall, I'd recommend this place, but with caution. It could be a really great option with a few minor tweaks. read more

Overall: Large multi-bed condos with amazing mountain views. Condo: 4 stars. We stayed in a 3 bed 4 bath condo, which was very roomy. The kitchen was upscale but the cooking area was very small (only for 1 person at a time). The view of the mountains was amazing. Price: 4 stars. About $300 per night. Lodge Amenities: 4 stars. The best thing about Spring Creek Ranch is the view. The breakfast, which is included,is very good as well. I found the front desk staff to be very indifferent. The room had a lovely view but was so very outdated. You have a coffee maker but no microwave. Pack light because you may have to walk very far to get to your room and there is no one to help. This is not a 4 star establishment by any means. I would not stay again. read more

At first glance, this place seemed very nice, and after a 1,500 mile journey we were ready for a nice place to rest and relax. We ordered dinner in on the first night. It was ok, but not worth almost $100. Breakfast was free each day, but their was 20% service charge and gratuities were not included. So it really wasn't free. Our TV didn't work from the get go. The nice maintenance guy tried to fix it the first night but with no success. They finally replaced the tv with a smaller(but working) tv on the second day. The TB was covered in dust so I'm assuming it came from storage somewhere. This brings me to the "icing on the cake". Our last night here and we see a BIG mouse run across my husband's feet! We called the front office. They apologized and offered maintenance. Really??? What about comping that 20% service fee? I mean, we never even got our garbage or towels picked up. As we speak, my husband is roaming around the cabin trying to find the mouse holes. I have a picture of the one our little friend ran into. as proof. I wish I could post pictures on here. This place wasn't worth half the price we paid. To end on a decent note, the views weren't bad. read more

It's a bit dated. Ok, a lot dated. On the upside, if you have ever wanted to return to the late 1970's/ early 1980's, this is for you. The heating apparatus in the rooms left something to be desired, as the dial didn't have a number on it, and I thought we'd suffocate before we figured it all out. The VIEW, however, was friggin phenomenal! And they had working wifi in the room. The sound barriers left something to be desired as well--the upstairs patron was a heavy stepper, and I was brought back to the long ago days of apartment dwelling. Not a great memory. It's rustic, but a decent amount of space. Time for an update, methinks. read more

We had a nice time we were told the hot tub was the to the left of our room when we went out there it had no water and was fill of dirt and leaves. The staff at the counter was friendly told us the Restraunt would be open for breakfast it wasn't apparently it's closed till next season so we had to drive back into town . You can not check in until 4 pm the room was cozy loved the fire place there was plenty of wood stacked up for use on the porch read more

We really like spring creek ranch! The room was very nice and it had a patio. Our view was of the pond on site. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We visited the spa on site and it was incredible. We had a 90 minute massage and the following day a 90 minute facial. We really enjoyed it. They are all super friendly and knowledgable about the area. They will help you setup reservations for dinner and also help with activities. The only downfall they had which is why I didn't give it a 5 star was they didn't have any air conditioning in the rooms. All they had was a very small fan to cool the entire area. It was 90+ when we visited and it was hot every night. Other than that it was amazing. We would be willing to recommend this ranch. Just make sure to be prepared to stay cool at night. read more

We visited Jackson Hole with the family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 3.5 and 2) and it was our first visit. I did a lot of research before hand and settled on SCR. We chose a 3BR Spirit Dance town home which was an abundance of room and finishes that beat expectations. The accommodations were great. Not 5 Star, but just fine for the purpose. Views are as stunning as everyone raves about. The kids loved the horse stables and the staff at the stables could not have been nicer. They allowed the kids to get close to the horses, pet them, etc. We visited multiple times during our stay. The pool is very nice, and open 24 hours. It gets cool at night so go during daylight hours! The grounds were beautiful. You drive up the mountain about 5-7 minutes on a winding road before arriving at SCR. Beautiful drive. The restaurant on site is excellent. Great options and great staff, but if you have kids - go early. The location in Jackson hole is ideal for a quiet not far away spot. It was a quick drive to downtown Jackson and a 20 minute drive to Grant Teton National Park. Only advisement: do not expect a 5 star resort experience. Accommodations are great, but could use updating. The service is great, but not exceptional. I would definitely recommend this location and if you can afford it, I would recommend a Spirit Dance 3BR town home. Views can't be beat, accommodations are great for families, and it's a secluded quiet place on top of a mountain with easy access to everything Jackson Hole has to offer. read more

Stayed here a while ago and was shocked by lack of cleanliness. Emailed management a month ago and have not received a response. Upon entering the bathroom, I noticed there was both dried blood and urine present on the toilet seat (see images) as well as the tiles beneath being loose and broken. It appeared as though the bathroom had not been cleaned before our stay. I attempted to contact the front desk only to realise the phone in the room was not functioning, so we just ended up cleaning it ourselves. The lack of cleanliness extended to the bed sheets, which were covered in lint and other debris. The mattress beneath them was uncomfortable and dirty. Though the room was tended to during our stay, the quality of cleaning was disappointing. The first day our beds were folded, but the bathroom had still not been properly cleaned. The second day of our stay, the only noticeable trace of cleaning was that the trash bags were missing and some food we had left in a fairly obscured container on the balcony (to keep cold) was missing. There were still coffee stains on the counter from the leaky coffee machine, and surfaces had not been wiped. In terms of amenities, a toothbrush costed $4, dinner was overpriced, the sauna did not work. Hot tub was low on chemicals and smelled awful, though it was nice to have so many different hot tubs across the resort. The free shuttle service was convenient overall, though disorganised. We were nearly refused shuttle service one afternoon when they came to pick us up from the Jackson resort, as we had not been placed on 'the list.' The main positive aspect of our stay was the warm and friendly customer service. The staff here were very accommodating and seemed to care about the guests. read more

My husband and I visited the resort for massages and a winter sleigh ride on the suggestion of our hotel. The place is outdated and really spread out, plus it was a $30 taxi ride from downtown Jackson because WYOMING DOESN'T HAVE UBER! Massage - This "spa" is anything but inviting and relaxing. It's in a basement beneath the onsite fitness center. The changing rooms are just a glorified gym locker room with concrete floors. The steam room was "out of order" and the "waiting area" was a chair by the basement stairs. My masseuse had freezing cold and rough hands. I do not like hard massages (I would say I usually prefer light to medium pressure), but I had to ask 4 times for her to rub harder because it basically felt like she was just rubbing lotion on my skin. To end the massage, she squeezed oil into her hands and immediately proceeded to give me a scalp massage; oil and all. When my husband saw me again he asked what the heck happened to my hair because it looked so oily and gross. Sleigh ride - We visited during a record-setting snow storm - bad timing on our part, but it had been scheduled weeks in advance. When we visited, we were told that our driver was out "testing to make sure the avalanche risk is low enough" for the horses. Instead of waiting to hear the verdict, we politely insisted that we be able to cancel and receive our money back. We decided to end the day early and go to happy hour at their popular onsite restaurant, the Granary, but it doesn't open until 5:00pm. I won't be back. Next time, we'll try a sleigh ride at the elk refuge since we heard such great things about it. read more

Horribly managed hotel. This property has an amazing view but it is ruined by the lack of maintenance to the buildings. The service was horrendous with no front desk agent to check us in. Finally a concierge agent helped us out but had no idea what she was doing. When we finally got the keys and headed to the room only to be shocked when we open up the door. The room was infested with multiple wasps and other bugs. After three tries we got ahold of the front desk only to be told that is common when it is cold outside. I work in the hotel industry and it is a shame to charge $300plus a night and have a bug infestation. The next day as we checked out, I brought my concerns to managment only to be told they will look into it. No refund or even an apology. This company is known around town for not paying their bills and now I see why. The hotel has been mismanaged to disrepair. read more

This place is a dump with a capital D. The view is great of the Tetons but that's about it. The room is dirty and old. There is a hole in the wall in our bathroom and mold in the shower. Maybe some of the units have been updated but the one we are staying in terrible. The mattress is lumpy and the sheets are scratchy. We are paying $450 a night. For that amount of money I at least expect a clean room with a comfortable bed. I would leave but you have to prepay. Be cautious about staying here. read more

This resort is fabulous if you can overlook the rudeness of the front desk and the condition of the accommodations. Let me start by saying we tried booking online and their website did not work. The other people in our party had the same problem. So we found a link through Orbitz and all booked that way. Well, that was our second mistake. Upon checkin, we were all treated with a dismissive attitude. NEVER AGAIN. The man at the front desk made so many rude comments regarding our Orbitz booking. We were all tired so we let it go and filed our emotions away. Now we enter our room. Rustic does not quite describe it. The room was run down and shabby, not to mention dirty. The view was great of the pond but fair of the mountains. One of the folks in our party called the front desk (which one must navigate through a realty menu) to inquire about another room due to the condition of the room and it's lack of cleanliness. They were once again confronted with rudeness and told they were in the Orbitz room. So, bottom line...if you want to take a chance and stay at spring creek, try and book through them. But, keep in mind, this place is rustic and run down beyond description. read more

The only reason I am even giving this inn 2 stars is because the view is worth at least that much. However, our room needed to be completely overhauled. Our shower didn't drain, we had it fixed, and then it didn't drain again the very next day. The room was full of bugs, and there was some strange (decorative?) nest above the television. The hot tub near our room was about 75 degrees (not ideal since it gets pretty cold in the mountains) and the front desk was clueless when we asked about the on site horseback rides. What really sealed the deal for me was coming back to my room after it had been cleaned and seeing the door wide open. We barely spent any time in our room, I mean c'mon, we came to Jackson to hike! Even still, I would guarantee you can find a much better place to stay in this wonderful little town. read more

Spring Creek Ranch is amazing, from the service at the Front Desk, to the beautiful accommodations, to the onsite restaurant, to the horseback riding available. There is not a single downside to this resort with incredible views of the Tetons. We booked a one hour horseback trail ride. The experience for three city slickers was beyond perfect. We were treated to beautiful views on well-cared for horses. We have enjoyed eating at The Granary for breakfast each morning. The food has been delicious and the views from each table are breath-taking. Not having stayed in Jackson Hole before, my family and I feel incredibly fortunate to have happened upon Spring Creek Ranch on the internet. We hope to make it back to Jackson Hole again...and to Spring Creek Ranch. Thank you for making our summer family trip so memorable. read more

This review is in regards to the horseback riding only offered at Spring Creek Ranch... Our family group of 10 thoroughly enjoyed the one-hour trail ride. The wranglers were competent and helpful, with both the young and the old in our group! We booked this company because they allowed a 5-year-old to ride and the lead guide actually led my young nephew's horse. The scenery was amazing and the guides provided us fascinating information about the history and the area. We were all very pleased with Spring Creek Ranch. read more

We stayed here for a few nights and were not impressed. I must say the views are spectacular, but the cabins need updating soon. Plumbing and bathrooms are dated and not in the best working condition. It would take us a good extra minute to get the key to open the room door due to the hardware being so old and loose. We would not stay again without them updating first. read more

We stayed at SCR for 4 nights this June. The view from the hotel room we stayed in (2207) was incredible! The rooms themselves are a little rustic but very nice, basically a good place to sleep after a hard day of traveling around the Grand Tetons. And the Granary was a great place to eat with a view. We wandered over to Amangani to check it out, I'm sure it is wonderful but I was very glad we went with SCR from a value point of view. Location relative to the park and to town is great. My two younger sisters (20 and 17) had our ride with Braydon and he was GREAT! Super knowledgeable and did a great job including the whole group; not to mention funny! The trail was so much more than we expected, it was worth every penny! This is a must do for everyone, my sisters were more towards beginner level riders and they felt comfortable and had a blast the entire time! Very disappointed. I was at this resort 23 years ago, and it was fabulous. Unfortunately, nothing has changed, literally. Our room was one of the nicer, and it hasn't been updated in 20 plus years, and smells of mold. The staff are really property managers, since the units are independently owned. The staff deserves a 5 star rating, they are fantastic. The facility and rooms however are in desperate need of updating. Very sad. read more

We booked the 1 hour horseback ride and private dinner all of which was fabulous. Our guide, Matt, was awesome and very interesting to chat with on the ride and our dinner was outstanding. The views......amazing. However, upon arrival, the intake girls were straight out of an episode of mean girls. The three were telling secrets and talking quite ugly about co workers or a boss within earshot. The ring leader rolled her eyes when I explained we prepaid thru our travel agent. There was supposed to be a photographer who seemed to disappear before we finished. Im pretty sure I saw the ring leader upset the photographer. There was tension there and not a feeling of welcome. Upsetting when you spend money for private ride and dinner for six. read more

It does not get any closer to nature than this. We had mule deer out our balcony several times and the view was stunning. The bedrooms were roomy and the bathroom was overly large. We were also impressed with the pool and the hot tubs. Service was friendly and accommodating anytime we needed them. I was very pleasantly surprised by the washer and dryer but disappointed with the size of the mini fridge. The other thing I would note is there is no air conditioning. It should be noted on your website. It actually did not effect us by not having one which is why I did not impact the score but coming from 90 degrees in Ohio and walking into the room it was quite a shock not to have any. The other two small negative things, we had to walk far to get ice, if that is going to be the case then the fridge(freezer) needs to be bigger or you should have ice vending machines closer to the cabins. The last thing was my room had a king size bed and two twins(4 people assumingly) and we only got 2 free breakfast. That's odd. It should just be all or none. I would have preferred all. Most places in the area offer free breakfast. Those negative things were small compared to the great suite we called home for a week. We would definitely recommend to others and would be back. read more

Besides the fact that this resort has a beautiful view, room 2118 was the most run down, ramshackle, unclean mess I've stayed in for years! There were not doors on the closet with only one suitcase rack, no dresser to put things away during our stay, cracked tiles and piss infused grout in the bathroom, a filthy fly filled inadequate light in bathroom, loose discolored electrical outlets, black marks in the tacky adobe walls, faded blue k-mart quality curtains (not drapes, and the other room accents were brown and maroon) an unstained/painted wooden dowel for a curtain rod screwed onto metal shelf holders, a screen door that hardly slid on the tracks, dirty fireplace and soot on the old worn adobe surrounding, a 16" X 4' board on the wall for a desk with mismatched colored cords hanging below it, ancient telephones, no alarm clock, 24" television, the old style keys wouldn't hardly open the lock without jiggling it around, a board on the wall sticking out from behind the headboard, dirty coffee cups, a robe with a ripped pocket, a sink that wouldn't drain, loose tacky electric baseboard heaters, no access to ice ... all for a paltry $400/night!!!! I was embarrassed for them and cannot believe anybody would rent a room if this quality. Was this an employee room and not meant for the public??? read more

Beautiful view and that's about it. The rooms are outdated and dirty. There is not one thing luxurious about this place. The shower is gross and old and the light is so dim you can barely see...or perhaps it is bc it is full of dead moths. There is an industrial throw rug in front of the sink that looks like it's never been cleaned. The pillows are lumpy and the rooms smell of smoke. I had numerous issues when dealing with various concierges to the point that only one person ever seemed to know what she was doing. The hottubs are dirty. The pool is a boring lap pool that the concierge assured me is so much fun for kids over the phone I thought maybe there would be a slide or something. This place is not worth it. I remember motels I stayed in as a kid with better bathrooms. The staff seems young and unprofessional. The cleaning crew looks like a bunch of teenagers that walk around texting. I don't recommend this place at all. Had to update and share my massage experience. The massage therapist first came off very strange. The spa isn't anything fancy, very rustic. Not spa like at all. My therapist talked my ear off until I pretended to fall asleep, she sent and received texts!!!, which my husband is now concerned she may have taken photos of me, and she told me I had scoliosis during the massage (which I've never been told that before.) clearly not the most relaxing experience at all. Lastly upon checking out we looked under the beds to see if we left anything. It was so dirty, there was someone else's dirty hair brush under it and a pile of dust. So gross! My husband complained at checkout about the conditions and oddly they didn't seem surprised. They told him the GM would call him and perhaps make a deduction on the bill. Alas she never called. What a joke of a place. Don't stay here. read more

We first stayed here 30 years ago when it was new & loved the over-sized rooms with great views, nice balconys/patiosdecided to try again for NYE vacation 2019/2020. Sadly, the property has matured w/o much attention to maintenance; we were in a building w/ 4 rooms (2 up, 2 down) - shabby & run down; frayed carpet, broken floor tiles, lamp shades were old/brittle/broken; tile in bath hasn't been cleaned & sealed in years; woodwork is worn, scratched & needs refinishing; heater in bath did not work (freezing -3 to 12 degrees outside) so a small space heater is provided - talk about an accident waiting to happen - electrical appliance in a 'wet area' - cord along the floor from sink outlet. One morning, during my husband's shower, water began dripping out of non-functioning ceiling fan/heating unit & flooded the floor (snow on roof melting down vent?). A wall outlet sparked in bedroom & fried my phone charger. There is a table & 2 chairs in bedroom area but no floor or ceiling lamp - impossible to read/work/eat there. 1 existing floor lamp & 2 bedside lamps have near-zero watt bulbs. Fireplace is a nice amenity but stone is grossly blackened with soot. In closing - if this is what you can see, what's going on that you can't see in the walls w/ HVAC/electrical/plumbing. Too bad, because it sits on a beautiful spot w/ great views from some rooms. This place needs an infusion of owner interest & cash to bring it back, otherwise it is doomed as a tear-down for a new property or just turns into an over-priced, dumpy place for skiers not the luxury resort it says it is. read more

I would not recommend this hotel. I was so disappointed and honestly not sure how they charge what they do. Rooms are in serious need of updating- I could overlook all that but they aren't maintained either and that I couldn't overlook or forgive. We arrived in evening and the light outside of our second floor room was burned out. Then inside three lights burned out. The room was very cold. Look I live in MT I am used to cold but the baseboard heat could not keep up and the heat in the bathroom did not work. We lit a fire to warm it up but due to all burned out couldn't see that flue was closed. It took about 20 min and the smoke alarm went off. Called front desk and they sent maintenance. He basically said open doors and windows (now we were really cold). Since we were talking to the guy from maintenance - I let him know what didn't work in the room and he promised they would be addressed. Left for day and came back - three out of four bulbs replaced but bathroom heat never worked and it was in the 50s in there. The outdoor light didn't work and we again stumbled up icy stairs in dark. Cleaning folks never cleaned coffee machine and left us only one cup. The ONLY good thing was breakfast- efficient and delicious hence two stars. read more

Spring Creek Ranch is a lovely property with beautiful views of the Tetons! Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, but could use some maintenance on the tub faucet and toilet. The Granary restaurant on the property is excellent with nightly entertainment. We enjoyed both breakfast and lunch there. The staff are warm and very accommodating. My family booked several activities through the concierge service: the Jackson Rodeo, the covered wagon ride and BBQ dinner, and saddles and paddles (white water rafting, lunch and horseback riding). All were excellent experiences with the exception of the covered wagon ride and BBQ dinner. I do not feel the quality of the ride or the dinner were equal to the price paid, which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, but other than that, the activities were great. We used the hot tub one evening and found it to be clean and very enjoyable. It was our first time in Wyoming, so I do not have anything to compare to our experience, but my family enjoyed our stay at Spring Creek, and we will return. read more

The only thing that doesn't need updating at this resort is the view. It was quite the thing when we first stayed here in the 80s, and by all appearances, they have not touched a thing since. The decor is dated, the rooms dark and drab and worn, the shower is so dark it is impossible to see. Without a major upgrade, this place is way overpriced, including the restaurants. EVERYTHING needs an major overhaul. read more
