I ordered the fried chicken with fried rice as a take out order. This dish was just okay. Most of the batter fell apart. The chicken was not seasoned well. The fried rice was pretty standard...not bad, but also not great. It would be a better idea not to place the sauce container in the take out box as the container melted. I was not able to close the sauce container securely. Will not order this in the future. read more

Alright Alright! Let's get into the first review of 2026! And we are starting off strong with Thai Pepper in Woodland CA! I heard SO much about this little Thai gem, hidden in going into Main St downtown Woodland! Went inside, very clean and we were greeted right away! The staff working there were SO NICE AND WELCOMING! That is a BIG BONUS and already won me over because regardless if the food was tasty or not, real customer service will bring me BACK everytime! The ambience is nice and gives you that date night with a hole in the wall vibe where you know the food is GONE BE FIRE! We ordered the Tom Kha with added chicken and this was hands down the BEST Tom kha I have EVER had! Soooo goood and they weren't stingy with protein either! Chicken avocado curry was so flavorful and like the curry slurry was a little thick than runny! Seasoned so good and the generous portion of avocado. Cream cheese rangoons spoke for themselves along with chicken egg rolls! Everything came out soooooo gooood! This will NOT BE MY LAST TIME HERE! I had the green curry with chicken and my colleagues had grilled chicken with extra veggies, drunken noodles, boat noodle soup, shrimp mango curry, basil fried rice, panang curry, pad thai...thai iced tea, thai iced coffee, and iced hibiscus tea. The Isan sausage is delicious! It's a little sour and it comes with aromatics on the side for a little kick. The Thai boat noodle is also pretty good, I wish there were a little more vegetables. But I love mine super spicy and I appreciate the sauces on the side. It was pretty busy on a Thursday afternoon, they get a lot of take out so the servers can get a little behind. We ordered the green curry with chicken, panang curry with chicken, red chili paste eggplant dish, Thai-style papaya salad, and fresh rolls with shrimp. We loved all the curry dishes. They had great flavor and spice. The panang curry was my faborite--it was so floral and herbal. The fresh rolls were okay. The papaya salad we didn't love. It tasted too much like garden salad bar. It didn't have that fresh, zippy tang we are used to. Probably because it had as much lettuce in it as papaya. Probably won't get that again. But I'm definitely down to get more curry! read more

My dad and I haven't come to this restaurant in ages, but I'm glad we tried it again, we had a great meal! We ordered: Tom Kha soup - this had some spice to it even though we got a 3 out of 5 spice level! It's because the chili flakes kept hitting the back of our throats. Great depth of flavor 8/10 Pork Belly Larb - I'm used to ground up meat and lettuce wraps, but we order the pork n belly and it wasn't ground up, but it was absolutely delicious. The pork belly really shined. 8/10 Penang Curry - this curry was great! Not too heavy at all. We got this with regular pork and it was really delicious. 8/10 Drunken noodles - the drunken noodles were pretty standard. A little heavy on the cabbage, but still great flavor as well! 7.5/10 We also got Thai iced teas which were prepared very well. The woman who served us was attentive and helpful. Woodland historic downtown is so charming. Came here for work and stopped in here for lunch. I got seated right away. There are a few tables and I got in right before the lunch hour rush. It's very clean and the wait staff were very friendly. The menu has plenty of vegetarian options. I ordered the pad see ew w/ tofu and Thai iced tea. I'm so happy they had coconut milk as a non-dairy alternative. It's really good w/ Thai iced tea. They also ask you how spicy you like your food. I tried their chicken satay - a simple grilled chicken with a side of peanut sauce, the coconut shrimp - perfect, & the tofu (a first for me & I'll definitely have it again). A couple years ago, Thai Pepper became my 'go to' Thai spot in Woodland. Then it became my 'go to' Thai spot period (I live in Sacramento). Now it's my 'go to' restaurant. As new Thai places have come to Woodland, Thai Pepper just keeps increasing their appeal. The food is delicious (I like the spicy eggplant), the servings are large enough that there is always leftovers, and the service is consistently great. Oh yeah, the price is LOWER than their competitors. Recently they ADDED an eggroll to your meal. I can't say enough good things about Thai Pepper. Be sure to come in about 12:00 (so I can get a table at 11:30). read more

I can't believe it's taken us so long to try this place! Unassuming front and homey interior, but don't let that fool you - the food here is bomb. The menu is extensive so there's plenty to choose from, and they give you a spice option from 0-5 so you can customize your heat level. They're not messing around though, be warned: I got a 4 and LOVED it, but my husband couldn't handle more than a bite. We started with fresh shrimp spring rolls that were light and chewy and served alongside a sweet sauce and a peanut sauce, and then for entrees we got the chicken larb and a Thai basil chicken dish that I'm forgetting the name of. Both were bursting with flavor, we ate every last bit. Do note, you will need to order rice separately. So usually we love this place but i feel it is under new management or ownership. My husband and i ordered several items but only i ate the tomyum soup and i have been sick all night and day.
